It's a lot of fun! I started as a Gryffindor and did my seven terms there with a charrie that was really the Hermione brand of Gryffindor ish, then I joined staff and...well...Airey was a different sort of Gryffindor all together :lol: left staff after ten terms to Hufflepuff where I have been ever since. I know where I'm going next though :shifty:

So, just saying, that even within the same house you can play a variety of characters too - not all Gryffindors are the same just as not all Slytherins are or Ravenclaws or Hufflepuffs! I think the nice thing about SS is that we take these canon house concepts and truly elaborate on them - after all we were really only getting each house through Harry's perspective in the Harry Potter books and we are only just NOW getting glimpses into the none "I am a potato" meme Hufflepuffs thanks to Fantastic Beasts:loved: so there is PLENTY of time to explore. Who knows, the character you have envision now that is like yourself may very well just take on a mind of their own and surprise you:shifty:

About the houses, yes, you're right. We only see them from Harry's perspective. Even as fas as slytherins are concerned, there is a possibility that we have met only the mean ones, so yes, we can develop our characters to whatever we want them to be and discover why they truly belong in the house that they are sorted into!

The sorting is done by hand, rather than a software generator of sorts so it can take up to 48 hours depending on the inflow of quizzes and the admin’s (in this case, me) availability. That said, it shouldn’t be too long a wait. You can still post your character around Diagon Alley meeting people and making friends. IC (unless you aren’t starting with a first year) they wouldn’t know their house anyway so no worries about it affecting anything there ^_^
