"I hope that it will too." She smiled. 'However, if not, at least it will be good for afternoon tea. Oh, I had forgotten, I made more of that lotion that you asked me for."

Jasper looked up at Sarah's question. He hadn't realized he was in need of one. but now that he thought about it he could use a cut. but it would have to wait today he was busy. " The latter of the week." he said before he continued onhis way to set to work on the new chaneleir for Rose's Tavern.

He opened the door ro his and enter he took a long bend of iron and pushed the end intothe bright hot flames in the hearth

"Oh, that's wonderful," Hester said happily. "Your lotion is truly the best around, so softening to the skin. I love the fragrance of it, too, makes me think of a clear spring day."

Sarah smiled and jotted Jasper's appointment in her little book. "Here is thy bottle, shall we consider it in even trade for tomorrow's pie?' She asked Hester softly.

"Thank you for your kindness, I'm sure your lotion is worth far more than my little pie," Hester said. "Though if it satisfies you then they have both served their purpose for your lotion satisfies me very much."

"Thank you, I have been meaning to ask you something, do you think many of the women in town would ike to learn how to make lotions and perfumes and tonics for themselves and their families? I have been giving it some thought and just wanted your opinion."

"That sounds like an excellent idea," Hester said enthusiastically. "I would personallly love to learn how to make that type of thing, and I'm sure other women would be interested, as well. After all, your lotions and perfumes smell delightful and are sure to lure a man. That gives me an idea, too. What if I taught the women here how to bake some of the German goodies such as the streudel and other popular treats? This could be a really great thing!" Hester was excited about the prospect of learning from Sarah already.

'I think it would be a great thing for the women of the area to get together once a month and learn new things from each other, the way our mothers taught us things like how to make soap and candles." Sarah spoke excitely as she smiled. "Can I ask you something? What do you think of Mr. John Carlin?" A slight blush rose up in her cheeks.

"We shall do that then, it will be so much fun!" Hester understood immediately why Sarah was asking for her opinion of John. She smiled softly. "I think he would be the perfect choice for a young lady such as yourself," she said mysteriously. "He seems to have a lot to offer and would be well worth pursuing."

"I am just wondering, has anyone ever broken through that hard shell of his, I mean you would think that he and I would speak quite often, being in the same business but he seems somehow cold at times.' Sarah said. 'Would you like some coffee or tea?'

Rose finished her mead and got up to start cleaning up after the breakfast rush. She looked around, Isabelle and Joseph were still there. And of course Robert and John were off in their little corners nursing their plates and cups. She gathered up all the dishes and put them in the sink. The dishes were piling up and Siobhan of course was nowhere to be found. If she didn't have a soft spot for that girl she would take her over her knee.

She went back out front to check if anyone needed anything else.

Robert nodded briefly and smiled a little bit. "Thank ye, Siobhan." he replied to her before returning to the paper and quill, scratching busily. It wasn't until much later that he realized that he should probably be heading out - he started to get up but decided against it, sitting back down. He returned to his papers, wondering if he should get that haircut after all.

Joseph looked up as he noticed Rose was back in the room, "No, thank you, Miss Rose" he shook his head, he ended his coffee and stood up, "I think that'll be all, I might as well head to the Church now, the project needs to be delivered" he said, nodding, he didn't explain, Rose knew about the expansion he'd been asked to do to the Church, as it was discussed with her as well, "Thank you" he repeated, placing the payment on Rose's hand, "Have a great day" and smiled, however his face seemed more sad than happy when he smiled, even if he didn't show his emotions very much.

Waving everyone with a 'Good Day' he went straight for the door and left, feeling much more awake thanks to the coffee and the pie Rose offered to him, he walked in direction to the Church, hoping everything will be alright with the project.

Rose cast her blue eyes around at Robert, the boy was absolutely peaky looking. If he could get his head out of those books and run around outside and get some fresh air. She shook her head and smiled. He seemed to get into a lot of accidents when he was on his feet, best to leave him sitting down.

"Ok Joseph, you stop on by for some supper." She told him as she put his money in the pocket on her apron. She watched him leave. He seemed so sad most of the time. She didn't want to pry into his personal business. She wanted to comfort him, but that just wasn't right. But if she wasn't 32 that would be her husband. She gave him a light wave and a warm smile.

Jasper put led the red hot metal from the fire and he began got forge it in to the shape he needed for the chandelier it was blazing hot and his hair had began to stick to his forehead but there was no time for stopping and least not at the moment . He wiped his brow smudging his face with soot. But still he set hard to work with the chandelier braking only for the occasional horse shoeing or reshaping of farm tools. He then began the tedious job of shaping one of the many decorative bird the sun had shifted well past over had and he till hadn’t noticed he had worked clean threw lunch with out notice . it wasn'tthefirst time he worked threw a meal.

Elizabeth looked over at Lilith's voice. "Well that is good. I'll be able to send it off soon. My cousin is pestering me something bad for it." she said, walking back over to her desk. She picked up one of the letters and handed it to Lilith. "Here you are my dear. A letter for you. And yes, it was from James. He said he will come and visit in a few months. Things are busy in Boston. He also mentioned the Salem Witch Trials. Why does he mention morbid things?" Elizabeth sighed, thinking about her life. She may not make it to his visit. The way things were heading, no doubt they would all be found out soon.

Rose had a steady stream of people in and out for lunch. Most of the local farmers who couldn't make it in for breakfast. She was in the kitchen getting ready for dinner. She was going to have meatloaf and shepherd's pie for special, on top of her regular dinner plates. Her brow was glistened with sweat as she rolled out her dough for some biscuits. She cut them out and slid them into the oven. She dusted her hands and wiped them on her apron before she walked back out to finish cleaning up.

jasper continued to work on endlessly to perfect the birds he was working on for Ms. Rose he pused the forge back intothe fire to heat it then he carefully hammered out the the wings of the bird. He thought about what Ms. Rose had said bout him settling down with a wife. she had been right it was thisthought that hadd distracted himas he reached for the forge in the fire he accidently reached past the handle and gripped the hot part " he letout a howl of pain and instantly let go but the damage had been done he looked at the painful blistering in his palm.he found somthing to wrap the burn.and made to grip the forge again but the burn was to fresh to allow it without hurting severely.

A person would have to be deaf to live within the small Ipswitch colony and not hear the roar of agony coming from the smithy. Setting the bag of grain outside the door of Tullia's door as quickly and as gently as he could, Jacob bounded over to Jasper's shop, his forehead beaded with sweat. He looked around the shop but could only see the blacksmith holding one hand in the other intently. "Something wrong, Mr. Moses?" the boy asked with a concerned expression. "Something I can do?"
