Except no one really knows if they did die. They just… vanished.

One year ago a group of students from a Magical English International School were sent to Egypt as a study abroad program. While there, they were to inspect and send back information about the different tombs.
The information they got would have helped the school greatly. The school would use the information as a way of education - they would be allowed to send more and more students down to Egypt and hopefully open a school up there.

The school depended on the students for the information but instead they were sent letters. Letters from Egyptians stating that the group had left Egypt without so much as a backwards glance. Left Egypt without any reason.

A year later, the school has decided to send a new group of students to Egypt. They want the group to finish what the first group has started. However, the school did not dare to tell the new group that there was another group before them. They didn’t want to scare the students into not going.

So the students are whisked away to Egypt, as the first group did a year before. This time, they are told that they have to rely on their own survival methods and not magic. The students reluctantly agree and are dropped off at the same site as the first group was.

There they find the camp deserted. They were told that they would be greeted by other Egyptians to help them, but no one showed. Stumbling upon an old tent, the group figures out about the first group before them. And the plagues that were cursed upon them.

They figure out that Anubis still walks the land from a year before… and the Book of the Living is the only chance of destroying him.

Appearance: She’s got black and extremely long hair and deep brown eyes. Standing at 5’6’’, she’s got a complexion that will easily show where she was born.


Background: Born as the eldest of two sisters, Selena was the first person on her family (that she knows of) to show magical skills, and though her parents eventually accepted such an awkward thing, they did consider to send her away, something she was always aware of though pretended not to be. Their main reason to do such a thing, as Selena always knew, was her younger sister, Estella, who was a pure prodigy in both school and life in general.

After being sent to the Magical English International School, she swore to herself that she would make her parents proud, would make them value her for what she was. However, for as hard as she tried to be the top of the class, she always found herself as merely a good student who had not yet found the way to reach her best.

This made her search for another area on which she could excel, for she never stopped believing that each person has got their own talent. She just had to find out hers. And she didn’t find one but two talents: 1) she had a strange ability to speak different languages, thus making her deepen her knowledge in Portuguese (her father’s language) and English and expand her vocabulary of the two languages she had always known, Spanish and Catalan; 2) she could dance flamenco like no other girl on her holiday classes, most of whom had taken these for years. And so, with these two abilities of hers, her parents started to fully see her as their own child again, though the main reason why they did such a thing was the fact that she never brought up the subject of magic whenever she was near them.

On the other hand, the fact that Selena was a witch, seemed to bring Estella closer to her and soon enough, the two sisters were more inseparable than ever before.

Personality: Selena’s personality reflects perfectly her parent’s nationalities and her own likes. Though she has quite a fiery temper once she is annoyed, angry or stressed, she seems to be an extremely calm girl at every other moment of her life. Nevertheless this does not mean that she cannot control her mood, for she was able to gain the ability to hide her feelings once she wants to, but for that to happen she must not be taken by surprise or she won’t have enough time to get ready. Passionate about life, she lets the world guide her steps, not over thinking every little thing she does, unless there is something that bothers her so much that she will, in the end, get so obsessed by her problem that she might even mumble in her sleep something about it.

Selena is quite secretive about her past and her family, never joining conversations that include reminiscence. However, when the subject is any other than that, she’ll gladly join them with perfect ease. She always tries not to judge people immediately, but she constantly falls into that mistake, placing everyone she meets into three main categories: “I wish I never met you”, “Friends for life” or “Must find more about you”, and though it can be hard for one to switch from one of these categories to another (especially from the first to the second), she has found quite a few people who had flickered from one to the other.

Family: Adam is the only child of Maria and Hugo Gretas. He was brought up in the centre of a prominently muggle area London and spent a lot of his childhood with neighbourhood children as his parents both worked a lot. This led him to have an understanding of muggles and an appreciation for them that some purebloods do not get the chance to get. His mother worked as a proofer at the Daily Prophet (someone who checks articles to make sure they make sense and have correct grammar and spelling), and his father as a Healer, specialising in sporting injuries.
Likes: Sports, even though his father discourages them because of the injuries he’s seen, muggle technology and Transfiguration class
Dislikes: Early mornings, writing essays and cooking, as an only child his mother decided to pass on all the family recipes to him!
Personality: Adam is an outgoing and quick-witted guy, he loves spending time in both the magical world and the muggle one and manages to blend into either with ease. He is meticulous with his work and spends large amounts of time researching his answers to homework but manages to do it in a way that doesn’t seem to take him long. He is constantly with his friends and it is extremely rare to see him alone as he enjoys the company of others much more than his own. However Adam has a very short temper and angers quickly, he often misinterprets peoples actions and this leads to him getting into many fights. When it comes to girls Adam is like most guys, completely clueless to a certain extent. While he does flirt with girls, he is a seventeen year old boy after all, he sometimes fails to see when they’re flirting with him which seems to make him even more endearing to some girls.

Blood: He doesn't care too much, but he's a pureblood.

Family: Marit [ Mother ], Annika [ sister, age 19 ], Melle [ sister, age 16 ], Aafke [ sister, age 12 ].

History: His mother, Marit, is a model from the Netherlands. He grew up wealthy but without a father. His father left them after he was born. Therefore Melle and Aafke are his half-siblings and Annika is his real sibling. His mother works and travels a lot, so he and his sisters were raised by nannies. Annika acted like their mother at first, with Nik being second in command. His sisters are his life and nothing could change it.

However, his mother started getting more and more jobs and it was harder to take care of him and his sisters, so she sent them off to an English International School. Annika didn't go for she was already out of school, and Nik was the only one who got picked to go to Egypt to study abroad.

In school, Nik was among the "popular" group. He was labeled popular because of his loud-mouth and obnoxious attitude, his 'dare-me-to-do-something-crazy-and-I'll-do-it', and the ladies all thought he was cute. He got into a lot of trouble at school because of fighting, but easily got out of most of his trouble by his charm.

Languages: His native language is Dutch, but he was taught English by a New York internship at a young age. When he speaks English, he sounds like someone from Brooklyn, New York - which could be very intimidating with their heavy accents.

Personality: Nik is an overall determined person. When people underestimate he does whatever it takes to prove them wrong. He likes to joke and fool around a lot, so it seems like things can't get done with him around. His joking may sound like sarcasm - he uses it a lot and throws around insults and names. He's a bit secretive about his family and the things he does - he doesn't think it's anyone's business how he lives his life - so he may seem cold at times. He likes things to go his way and will argue for anything. He loves things to be as exciting as possible and may make things up just to be exciting and spontaneous. The bad part is, he's a jealous and resentful person. If something has something better than him or has done something better, he'll go out of his way to make himself seem better. He feels a bit superior to people already. When somethings bothering him, he doesn't let it go, he becomes obsessed. All in all though, he likes to play games. Not the fun games, but the mess-with-your-head games.

Background: Sophia was raised in the South of France from the age of five, the baby of the family. She was spoilt a lot by her father as he is a wealthy muggle stock broker, who spends most of his time at work. However to make up for it, Sophia recieves many gifts and trinkets. Sophia went to a muggle school, with French as her first language, but she prefers to speak English. Her mother is a witch from a very prominent wizarding family, who readily accepted a muggle into their family.

Personality: Sophia is very demanding and spoilt thanks to her upbringing. As she was the baby of the family, she is used to getting everything her way. She always assumes she is right and never backs down from an argument. At first glance, Sophia does not seem like a nice person, but it is only down to having to defend herself from her overbearing older sisters. She has built up a wall around herself which is very hard to break. Sophia likes to take a hands on approach to every challenge she is given and is stubborn enough to not listen when people tell her stop - when she sets her mind to something, there is no changing it!

Miscellanious: Sophia can speak French and English competently, and is afraid of heights. Her secret passion in live is all things foreign, and she adores other peoples' culture, particularly Egpyt. Her family moved there to live for a year when she was fourteen when her father was relocated, and she has often demanded to be taken back, however, she was never given the chance until now...

Personality: Parker is a very happy-go-luck type of girl. Who always has a smile upon her face. She a very kind person, who can put a smile on any one's face. Parker on the other hand is also very naive and gets confused easily. She childlike innocents about her and it can be very disarming to others. Parker is a hopeless romantic who believes loves is the closest thing to having magic. She has her quiet moments and occasionally her loud moments as well. She has a tendency to bite her bottom lip when she gets extremely worried or scared. Parker is a control-freak, perfectness, and an overachiever, which is the reason whys she usually stressed out, overly tired, and overly emotional. She is very intelligent but isn't one to brag about it. Parker sometimes goes into her own little world and she is very much a dreamer. She very outgoing and loves to laugh and have fun. History: Parker has a very complicated childhood. She was born with a very weak heart. Forcing her parents to take extra cation to make sure, her heart wouldn't go into failure. Other wise she had a very protective but normal childhood, growing up in Manhattan. When she was six, her father was offered a new job in London, England; which he quickly expected. At the age of eleven she received her acceptance letter to Hogwarts; which shock her parents since they thought she had no magic ability. After much thought, they reluctantly allowed her to attend Hogwarts. At age fourteen, she was given heartbreaking news that her heart was in the first stage of congestive heart failure. Upon hearing the news, her parents came to a decision that they need to leave the stressful and chaotic life of London. Three months later, the Grey family moved to the peaceful little town of Bedford, England. During the first mouths after moving, Parker refused to speak to anyone and because of that she came to somewhat of an understanding. She came to understand that just because her heart was being to fail didn't mean the end of everything, it was a reason to really live. After successfully graduating Hogwarts, she had planned on getting a job at the Daily Prophet. But when her father was killed under mysterious circumstances.

He is a top student with high marks in everything and going to Egypt is the tip of the iceberg. It shows that the professors believe in him and that he will do well.
