Damon managed to look out the shop window the exact moment that Alex had walked by and was heading up to the door. He smiled brightly as she came in and headed over to him, giving him a kiss which he returned fully. After the kiss when she moved in to hug him, Damon wrapped his arms tightly around her waist and lifted her off her feet for a couple of moments before setting her down. If Damon had any care for what other people thought he would be slightly embarrassed that he had no problems openly showing to strangers just how crazy in love he was with this woman.

"I've been great, but better now that I'm seeing you," Damon said with a smile, keeping his one arm around Alex's waist as he started to guide her away from the reptiles which he just had a feeling she wasn't going to like. "It's kind of spur of the moment, but I thought it would be nice if we got a pet. I would keep it at my place and everything since it's my idea, and we'll have it whenever we end up getting our own place, but I wanted you to help me pick it out. So...what kind of animals do you like?" Damon asked.

"Damon!" Alex started to laugh as he lifted her off the ground. "What on earth..?" She continued to grin when he put her down finally. "You are crazy. You know that, right?" She said, reaching up and ruffling his hair. "Gosh, I'm so glad to see you." Alex wrapped an arm around his waist and leaned her head against his shoulder for a moment.

When he asked what kind of a pet she wanted, she started to get all excited again. "Well, I hope you're not even considering reptiles." She said, looking at the animals surrounding them. "But yeah, apart from reptiles..I'm okay with pretty much anything." She looked at this really adorable ginger cat for a moment before she said, "Oh. Before I forget, no rats as well." She shuddered at the thought of those creatures. Creepy. She stopped for a moment and looked at him. "Um. Well, do you like snakes and rats?" If he did..well, she would have to adjust.

Damon chuckled as Alex mockingly joked about him putting her down and insisting that he was crazy. "Oh I know I am but I am pretty sure that you love me anyway," Damon said, giving her one of his girl-swoon guarantee grins. When Alex looked at the reptiles and hoped that he wasn't interested in one he chuckled. Who called it? "No, reptiles aren't really my thing. I mean, some of the little lizards are kind of cute, but I would never really want to own one," Damon said with a small shake of the head. "And well snakes just creep me out, and the whole having to feed them live things is just... Damon shivered to emphasize his point. He had to admit the thought of owning a rat never even crossed his mind. "Well now that you mention rats..." Damon replied in a joking manner. "I am just kidding," Damon said, giving Alex a kiss on the forehead in case she had missed his sarcasm.

"Well I love dogs, never really been around any cats to have a say on them...what animals do you like?" Damon asked with a smile, leading her away from the reptiles.

Alex flushed a little when she noticed that grin on his face. "Yeah. I do..even if you are goofy." She responded with a grin before she turned to look at the creepy reptiles. Ugh. She still blushed like a thirteen year old. Embarrassing.
Alex loved dogs and she thought a dog would make an ideal pet. She just hoped Damon liked them as well. Lizards are cute? She turned to stare at him. "Are you kidding me? You find lizards...cute?" GAG. She couldn't stand those creatures..they just look so...creepy. She was honestly a little relieved that he didn't want to own one. "Yeah. Snakes creepy me out as well.." Alex said, with a slight shiver.
"Rats?" Alex asked with grin. She knew he was kidding. "Well, if you're planning on buying a rat..well, that would be sad because I'm never visiting your place again."

Did he just say that he liked dogs? "Damon, I love dogs as well!" She said, excitedly. What animals did she like? "Well, I love dogs, horses..well, I'm pretty sure you can't buy a horse..turtles.." Yeah. She loved turtles. "..and parrots. I love birds in general so yeah.." She knew that her list was random. Really random. "Oh. I don't mind cats as well."

Damon couldn't help but chuckle as he watched Alex make several quite amusing and really adorable faces as she mentioned or he mentioned pets that she found not so pleasing. "Well I certainly wouldn't want you to stop coming over to my place, so the lizards, rats, and all other reptiles will be firmly taken off the table," Damon said with a reassuring little nod. After all it wouldn't be very good if Damon made a habit of owning pets that scared his fiance and never made her want to come over again.

When Alex excitedly agreed to liking dogs Damon gave her a wide grin. "I like them as well...I just think they're so personable. Do you like big dogs that are more like protective dogs or labs, or are you more into the...err...pocket dogs? Purse dogs? What do they call them?" Damon asked, wondering if Alex knew what he was talking about. Maybe he was thinking of something else or sounding completely insane. "I'm not sure a horse would fit in my apartment," Damon said with a chuckle. "Not to mention I'm not sure my landlord would appreciate something that big." When Alex mentioned a turtle Damon raised his eyebrows. "You know I never really thought about a turtle before, but now that you mention it they are kind of cute and I think they're pretty easy to take care of, yeah?" At the mention of a parrot Damon furrowed his eyebrows slightly. "Knowing my luck I'd probably end up buying the parrot that would seem nice and friendly at first, then as soon as I got him home he'd start squaking insults at me about how I don't feed him enough or something." And there he went sounding ridiculous again...

When he said that he wasn't planning on buying any reptiles, Alex gave a silent sigh of relief but she started to feel a little guilty as well. Sigh. "Are you sure? Because I don't want you to not buy what you want just because I feel uncomfortable.." She hoped that made sense.

When Damon started to talk about dogs, Alex couldn't help but give him a hug. She was so happy when he said that he liked dogs. "Exactly. Dogs are sensible, friendly and loyal." When he asked what kind of dogs she liked, Alex just gave a shrug. "Well, I love the big ones.." SNORT. Did he just say purse dogs? "Well, no. I don't really like 'Purse Dogs.' They are just too tiny but they are cute though..but I'm quite sure you wouldn't want one." Suddenly, the image of Damon carrying a dog in a purse flashed across her mind and she suddenly burst out laughing. You're hilarious, Damon. Her grin faded to a smile when he started talking about horses. Yeah. Horses were not even on the list. Sigh. "Erm, yeah. Obviously, you can't buy a horse..but they are lovely creatures, though. You know, when we get our own place someday..we can think about getting a horse, right?" Alex asked, hoping he would be okay with it. "Yeah. Turtles are cute but I have no idea what they eat, though..we would have to find that out..I mean, if you are thinking of buying one." Alex laughed again. "Alright. I guess you don't want parrots. Any other bird that you have in mind?"

Damon could tell that Alex had shifted from laughing to suddenly feeling like she was holding him back from something. "I don't want a reptile," Damon said, giving her a kiss of the forehead. "I promise. Besides, knowing my luck a lizard would escape and I would step on it or something like that, so let's stick with something bigger," Damon said with a warm smile.

He could tell that Alex was quite excited about the dog which made him feel like a dog was definitely in the running. "I like big dogs as well. Perhaps some kind of a lab? Or maybe something more like a rottweiler? I'm not sure what all they have," Damon said, letting his mind try to run through all of the different big dogs that they may have. "Of course there's the decision too on whether we want to get a puppy or a fully grown dog. If we got a puppy we could raise it together," Damon said, the thought creating a peaceful smile across his lips. When Alex said that she didn't like purse dogs then burst out laughing Damon couldn't help but chuckle. "I have to admit I'd have a hard time taking myself seriously walking around with a small purse dog," Damon said with a bemused shake of the head. "Let's definitely stick with something a little more on the middle to big size range."

When Alex asked if they could think about getting a horse when they had their own place, Damon smiled, mostly at the lovely thought of the two of them having their own place one day. "Of course," Damon said, holding her tighter to him. "We can get a place with a field in the backyard so that it will have plenty of room to run around." Damon was still thinking about the picturesque scene when Alex mentioned not knowing what turtles eat. "Uh...that's a very good observation. I have no idea either," Damon said with a chuckle. "Fish maybe?" Damon offered. As for what kind of bird Damon might like he honestly had no idea. "I'm actually not sure," Damon said with a chuckle. "I've never really looked into birds that much."

Magical Menagerie maybe is the best pet shop in Diagon Alley. (because it was the only one, right?) Ichigo visited the Menagerie alone, she wanted to look at some creatures. Perhaps she could get one, but Jun didn't like pets and they lived in small apartment.

"Ah, I want to have a pet." she said. "Is there any pet that I can take care although I live in apartment?" she asked.

Alex looked visibly relieved. "Okay. Great. You don't know how glad I am to hear you say that."

Alex was also happy about the fact that Damon was considering dogs. Frankly, she would go with dogs any day but yeah..there was no harm in considering other animals. "Well, I like labradors. They are pretty big, aren't they?" Alex said, looking at a particularly cute little kitten. She actually wouldn't mind a cat but they weren't as friendly as dogs. When he talked about raising a puppy together, she flushed. "You know, I think I would go with a puppy. They are adorable and yeah..I would love it if we could raise it together." The thought of raising a dog with Damon was so lovely. If only she could move in with him..sigh. She gave another laugh. "I'm sure you would look great carrying a dog around with you all the time..although, it's not really practical." When he said that he would rather go for something bigger, Alex nodded. "I agree." She looked around for a moment before she continued, "What are your favorite animals?"

When Damon said that he would be okay with having a horse, she couldn't help but turn around and give him a hug. "Having a place with a field in the backyard.." Her voice trailed off. That did sound so beautiful. She gave a happy sigh at the thought. "You know, I can't wait to be married to you." She smiled and continued to look at the animals surrounding her. Fish? "Hm. Yeah, I suppose.." She was not that excited about the turtle, to be honest. She liked those creatures, true..but yeah. When Damon mentioned that he didn't know much about birds, Alex frowned. "I don't know much either but..I've heard parrots make good pets but since it's now off the list..I can't really think of anything else."

That was a close call. Kyle thought as she stepped calmy around the corner to the creature displays. Calm, wasn't going to last. This store like most pet stores sold spiders. Had spiders on the walls, floors, and everywhere. She thought she would be fine and not witnese one of her biggest fears EVER. But today was not her day.

Heck, no day was her day.

"Oh god th-th-thats creepy" she gulped as she saw the spider in the cage poised on its hind legs looking ready to attack. Gulping she looked at the hairy legged thing and felt her knee's begin to wobble. "D-dont look at me" she was pannicking and talking to a Tarantula.

Brow sweating she made to dash back around the corner but something paralysed her there standing staring at the spider imagining it climb through the glass and be on the prowl for a good snack. You are a witch not a tasty spider snack she told herself. Finally she stumbled backwards but proceeded to begin to fall. Letting out a little bit of a yelp as she found herself falling backwards she didn't care if she was found there anymore as long as she didn't break anything in the store that would let the spiders run free.

Unbenounced to Kyle, the man she was trying to avoid was indeed planning on coming in the direction she was escaping to. Not that the store was that large that they would completely avoid each other unless she kept hiding behind things and slipping back out of the shop while he was otherwise occupied. Yet Simon was also clueless, simply heading towards the creatures with only purpose in mind...to look for a possible familiar.

Wandering through the various cages and tanks, nothing jumped out to him figuratively and thankfully nothing literally as well. However when he turned a corner and neared the area where the spiders were kept, Simon heard the pannicked voice that sounded increasingly familiar. And when he moved closer to investigate, was rewarded by an armful of blonde young woman who had fallen backward in her fright of the the eight-legged creatures.

"Kyle??"

Kyle knew she was going to crash and then, suddenly she didn’t. Someone had caught her - whoever they were, was strong. Strong enough to catch the tumbling girl. The voice however made her little heart flutter. Glancing up and almost backwards she spotted indeed the person she had been trying to avoid was the person who had indeed caught her.

”Hey Simon” she smiled a blush tinting her cheeks. ”sooo...I wasn’t talking to s-s-spide-spider-ers” the way her words were tripping over each other just made it more evident that she was scared. ”Not a spider fan” she admitted with a sheepish smile as she stood up and turned to face him.

”So er, what brings you to the Menagerie?” she asked as she stretched out her arm and hear the tinking sound of the spider jumping in its terrarium. The sound only caused her to jump once more nearly falling - but catching herself - back into Simon.

Glancing over her shoulder she saw the spider was now standing normally and scuttling back and forth. Was she hearing things? Maybe. ”D-did I ever tell you I’m petrified of spiders?” she asked, her eyes wide as she spoke.

Even in her fear she was surprised that she hadn’t brought up the conversation from the week before. Maybe the spider was helping? Probably not - seeing as if they talked, she knew something would become of it good or bad, friendship or more, she didn’t know but it was a start.

Simon knew his guess on who it was in his arms was correct the moment he met her eyes with his own. "Hey," he replied, offering a smile in return and biting the inside of his cheek as he noticed her blush in response. He could feel the quickening of her pulse through the limbs he held to catch her and realizing that he still held her, quickly let her go. "Well, they're not for everyone," he commented in agreement working away from the slight ackwardness. And anyone who had ever dealt with acromantulas might agree as well that their less harmless cousins werent any better looking.

And then the conversation was turned to him and his presence in the shop. "Well I...um was looking for something. A creature and possible pet," the YATI answered feeling a touch sheepish. Someone who had just had a family dog and a rescued bat was now interested in a pet of his own NOW. At 19?!

"Yeah, you might have mentioned it in a class once," Simon replied with a tilt of his head thinking back to the earlier class in question. Where they one in the same? He couldn't remember exactly but it didn't matter much. "Maybe we should move.." he suggested motioning for another direction when it seemed like Kyle was still jumpy. "What about you...what brought you here?" he asked turning it back to her fully.

When Simon let her go she had to bite down on the inside edge of her lip giving herself the accidentally adorable and maybe slightly more confused version of herself. Her smile still showing through any bit of the nerves she had been feeling.

Her heart still felt like it was trying to leap from her chest.

So he was here to get a pet? She thought with a brightening smile. “Oh thats great! I hope you can find something spectacular” She let her smile fade to a softer smile but it was still very much there.

When Simon suggested moving sections she couldn’t help but chuckle and that chuckle soon turned into more honest, deeper laughter. ”Honestly I think moving out of this Isle is a brilliant idea - these things are, creepy...oh yeah I did bring it up in class didn’t I - probably when we all had to go to the forbidden forest” why hadn’t they been able to practice the spells somewhere else that night.

And now the topic had switched to what she was doing here. ”Well honestly i’m looking - and considering getting a new pet, Ginger is quite lonely now and might get her a companion...and also need supplies later as well.” she smiled.

Then the idea hit her. ”Would you want some help finding a new pet? I know me, i’ve got loads of ideas and can’t come up with any one perfect one myself.” she admitted with a smile.

Simon rubbed a hand absently along the back of his neck beneath his hair line, doing his best not to appear as if anything was odd. And in his own actions he didn't quite notice Kyle's own behavior or at least didn't see it as anything other then her normal quirks. She really did have an amazing collection of them, not that Simon tended to mind.

"Then move we shall," he replied gingerly slipping an arm behind her and turning them around and away from the spiders, his body not actually touching hers but meerly serving as a guide. He lead her down the aisle and around turning around the edge of it and into the next one. "Ah ha....no spiders here," Simon said with an amused chuckle. The YATI didn't know why but he was feeling quite...was it really...playful?

The former Gryffindor listened to her answer, nodding as it appeared they had both had similar reasons for being in the creature shop. It did make sense since it was one of the very few reasons to be inside other then just browsing and getting supplies. "Um...sure," he answered encouraged her her enthusiasium. Maybe two heads would be better then one in this case and they would be helping each other out if Kyle wound up getting another pet for herself.

Kyle’s nerves were already skippy, jumpy, and all types of nervy that she didn’t really notice the fact that Simon’s arm slipped behind her to well, guide her. Well, she didn’t yet. When they had finally stopped moving she couldn’t help but smile there were the most adorable creatures in this section.

Giddy and nervy were a feeling that didn’t always go together well for Kyle. Sometimes that would leave her doing strange things - strange things she wouldn’t normally do like stand on the presuppose of a fence that was positioned on the edge of a small hill.

Teetering on the edge near drops in height of any kind wasn’t exactly her idea of a brilliant time - but nervy and giddy made her strangely brave. Braver than she normally would be.

“So? Any idea of what little fluffy thing were you thinking of kneazel-cat mixes...me i was thinking possibly a little crup or a crup and puppy mix...you know since they do look like Jack Russells and that might curb the whole tail-thing” She was practically bouncing on the balls of her feet while looking at the little things around her.

She was feeling rather playful as well. “Knowing me I might just go for another little kitten or something I don’t really know open to anything - well almost anything...only a perfectly insane person would get a Pogrebin...anything that’ll end up eating you in your sleep should be on the list of don’t get this as a pet ever” little nugget of wisdom from the vault of insanity that was Kyle.

Now that they were still once more, Simon gave a look around the new area and the creatures they found themselves surrounded by. Certainly more doable then lose they had left behind. Granted he didn't have the fear of spiders that Kyle clearly had but they werent a favorite of his either. He glanced back at Kyle as she spoke breaking the silence and asking him what his ideas were while expressing her own for herself. It was then that he noticed that she certainly seemed overly giddy and excited but he couldn't put a finger on exactly why. He shook his head absently and focused instead on the question at hand.

"Actually a feline is tempting and something I might be leaning towards. Not sure a pup would be good at the apartment especially with Sabel and my hours working." Trapping it in the flat all day or whenever they were both on assignment for however long it lasted would no doubt be cruel. Cats and kneazle were a bit more self-sufficient at least from his understanding watching others with their feline companions. "Though I'm sure there isn't that kind of restrictions with you," Simon added supporting her own leading and not wanting to sound like he had anything against dogs, having had a family dog for several years...still did.

Not that he could possibly dampen her mood at least that much. The rambling was returning which clued him in to just how she was feeling. Doing his best to pay attention to what else was being said, he couldn't help but chuckle at the mention of a pogrebin as a pet. "Yeah...thats certainly a creature to avoid out in the wild....much less is one's home," he said with a shake of his head. Yep...even more crazy then a person having a fwooper as a pet and he seemed to remember this shop having stocked those the last time he was here.

So felines? They were nice independent creatures - she rather liked independent. Taking a deep breath she calmed her own nerves - what she wasn’t around spiders any more and didn’t need to be jumpy like a mexican jumping bean. Right since she was going to apply to work at the Ministry soon she had to think of independent creatures.

“Its a good point you know independence might have to look into that myself what with applying for jobs after I finish with this year at school” she admitted with a smile. She was almost finished with her law courses and administrational office work courses. She was going to be an ace filer when finished with schooling come summer - and the new fall enrollment since well she had no idea what she would do over summer? ”Oh guess what! Almost finished with university final courses in payroll what-not...dreadful but might as well go for a little Kitten as well - seeing as Ginger well, she disappeared when I got all pirate-y” she shrugged her shoulder and smiled. Or was it that Ginger ran off with a little kitten somewhere and was now free and unowned? Probably the later.

When Simon commented about not brining Pogrebins into one’s house - well she had to agree. Only someone a few stones short of a stone wall would bring one into their home. ”I wonder how many people brought them into their homes without realizing it back in the 1980s? I know ages ago...almost a century, but...they did have pet rocks? And Pogrebins pretend to be rock-like” she chuckled - it’d have been a great feeding plan for the little beasts.

When she glanced around she saw an adorable ball of fluff. The white pawed bundle of fluffy joy was sticking her nose against the cage door at her. She didn’t know if she was part Kneazle at all - but at the menagerie she must be? Right.

Still. She seemed to have found her - or Simon. ”Hello there” she turned to the little kitten and smiled - she couldn’t help but smile...”might have found a contender for either you or me,” she smiled up at Simon and directed his attention to the little kitten.

Simon nodded as Kyle agreed with her on the need for a pet or familiar that fit one's overall lifestyle. Only made sense since you didn't want to mistreat the creature simply by not being around as much as they needed or able to take care of it well enough. He couldn't help smiling as she mentioned her future plans, being supportive of Kyle's decisions and possible careers as well as she had been of his decision to finally step away from university to join the auror program.

"Really? That's great," he replied with a smile. Simon couldn't help frowning at the mention of Ginger's disappearance, both for the sadness of the missing cat as well as the mention of their mutual pirate situation. Kyle didn't seem too broken up about it though so maybe she had gotten over it and he didn't want to dwell if she was fine with it nowadays. No sadness and pirates...that was a rule they should impliment into their conversations whenever they met up. Neither boded well with them.

Simon would admit, his mind wandered onto the whole subject of rock-looking creatures pretending to be rocks for muggles who had them as fake pets without knowing they were really technically real pets since the rocks were living beings. Okay so know his mind was all mixed up and he shook his head to try and clear it. The YATI had lost the fact they had been looking at cats and kneazles for a moment or two. However he followed Kyle's gaze to the kitten in question. "Well certainly a cutie," he replied squatting down a little for a closer look at the dark cat that almost looked like it had dipped its feet in bleach. The tips of its paws so white in contrast to its black fur everywhere else. "What do you think little one?" Kyle was right, he could see the feline for either of them though there were certainly a wide variety of others including a red that caught his attention briefly.

Kyle smiled over to Simon right - she’d made the faux pas again of bringing up pirates. Pirates were a no go they always made her feel queasy when mentions. She wanted to at least be able to stay on her own two feet for now - at least.

Simon being supportive - well it made her feel like squealing, jumping up and down, and hugging him. But she didn’t. All she did was give him her signature little smile - half way between shy, a quarter flirtatious and the rest of it was....well, coy. ”Yeah, it is” she smiled.

She smiled down at the little kitten, the little soft edge to her cheek the smile to her eyes and the way she looked up at her almost willing her to buy her was, well working. She liked her, and every moment she stood there pondering her - the desire to actually stop and buy her on the spot grew.

”I think she’s adorable,” she smiled. It would be nice to have another kitten after everything. ”So, yeah I think i’m going to get her...” she smiled over to him looking down at the little name plaque on the cage. Her name thus far, was Nyx.

Like the goddess of night. Well, this’ll be interesting. ”Oh definitely getting her - her names Nyx...like the goddess of night” she smiled. Sure it wasn’t at all obvious that she liked mythology classes and that she actually paid attention? Right. Not at all. ”Any ideas yourself yet?” she asked as she picked up the carry case that held the kitten. She’d carry her around sure - someone could buy her if she wasn’t careful.

At least at the sight of Kyle's smile it was proof that what had been mentioned about pirates hadn't totally sullied the mood of the outing. And his support was accepted for the way it was, the thoughts of one friend to another. So Simon continued to smile back enjoying every bit of it quite relaxed and feeling it all fit somehow , settling back as Kyle spoke once more confirming the claiming of the cat along with her apparent new name.

"Nyx...night...certainly seems fitting," he said nodding with a agreement at her choice of name. "Black as night but with a little white like the stars," he added looking the kitten over once more just as Kyle moves to pick her up, cage and all. One of them down, another to pick for him and Simon wondered how in the world he was to figure out which of the many remaining kittens would best suit him. The blac--Nyx had gotten Kyle's attention by reacting to her...would it work for him?

Turning his attention to the other kitties, he still kneeled down a little to see a wider range of the animals. Simon passed his gaze slowly from one to another finally spotting an orange tabby playing with a toy mouse. She seemed quite intent as it crouched down ready to pounce on it and when she went to do just that wound up rolling head over heals onto her back tussling with it in her feet above her. The Gryffindor couldn't help laughing at the feline's playful antics.

"This one certainly has a lot of energy," he commented with a smile as he moved his hand closer to try and get the kitten's attention. "Spsp," he sounded wiggling his fingers, the feline turning to look before bounding over and jumping at his digits causing him to laugh once more. "And feisty."

Kyle couldn’t help but glance over to Simon as he commented on the name - she was honestly glad her naming choices weren’t horrible - and the blush that crept onto her cheeks when he mentioned her paws...well that was ultimately unavoidable.

Still. She’d just brush it off if he asked - which he probably wouldn’t and well, pretend she was just happy to have Nyx now. Glancing down at the floor she nodded, ”Nyx it is then”.

Glancing back towards Simon and where his attention had been drawn she couldn’t help but chuckle when she saw the little Tabby jumping at his hands. Of course she had missed the most adorable of moments - but it seemed the little kitten was having quite a fun time with him.

”She is going to be a little adventurer” she smiled and glanced down at her. She couldn’t help but feel the feisty little one had well, reminded her of someone she knew. Who was it?

Right. The young Selina who she hadn’t heard from in ages...I should send her an owl and ask how things are going...she’s bound to be Quidditch Captain by now, or at-least Co-Captain she thought with a smile.

”She’s almost a certain feisty gryffindor” she commented with a happy smile remembering her quite fondly. Yeah the little kitten was a lot like her in coloring - but it was more the confidence in pouncing at Simon’s fingers.

It was probably a good thing that Simon's attention was elsewhere so that he couldn't catch the red flush that ran across Kyle's face at the moment. He probably wouldn't have been aware of the reasoning anyway for all he registered doing or saying was how the name she had suggested for her new pet was rather fitting if you put some thought into it. The YATI did hear her laughter however and with her comment that followed it was quite clear it was directed towards the little ball of fluff that was certainly vying for his attention now that he had been spotted. Not that she had to fight very hard seeing as Simon was already quite caught.

"Selina?...You think?" he asked looking at Kyle as she made mention of the Gryffindor in question. Feisty most fit the younger quidditch enthusiast...not to mention the orangy red fur was reminiscant of Selina's red hair. The kitten tried again for his fingers, her paws with nails sheathed and little kitty teeth not doing any harm to him but caused him to laugh at the ticklish feel of it. "What do you think little one?" Simon questioned the kitten rhetorically as he turned back to the feline. "You want to come home with me?"

Kyle smiled over to Simon when he asked if the feisty little ball of fluff really did remind her of Selina. The resemblance in fiery spirit was almost uncanny. ”H-how did you know I meant Selina - ah...never mind yeah she does remind me of her - and only in the best of ways” she smiled.

The playfulness just made her smile, glancing down at Nyx who was currently curled into a little ball and making an indistinguishable snoring sound she couldn’t help but smile. Maybe one day she’d get to play as feistily with Nyx - but it seemed she had gone the more mysterious route with a quieter almost sly little kitten.

Brilliant. Just what she needed to be pounced at. Would make things more exciting.

Finally it seemed they had both found new companions at least one things to do was well, completed. Not that going and running into Simon and getting a kitten was on the list - but getting a new pet and pet accessories was. It was just a well, bonus that she got to have company while doing so.

The kitten had meowed almost in response to his question and Simon smiled at the cuteness of it all. The more and more he watched the feline, the more he was drawn to chosing her as the pet...the companion he had come into the shop in hopes of finding one suitable to him. He shrugged as Kyle questioned how he came to the conclusion he did about who she meant. "I don't know," he admitted, "maybe cause feisty Gryffindor and red fur or hair only makes me think of her." The graduated lion thinking momentarily on his friend and what she might be up to before shaking his head with a laugh. Knowing her, this term's captain following in his footsteps....quidditch, quidditch and more quidditch.

"Guess we should see about purchasing these two and taking them home, huh?" Simon mused giving in to the kitten who had caught his attention full on. He carefully took up the crate where she resided, bringing it up closer to his face and smiling at the feline. "And think on a name for you."
