I said losing family and friends, because I think that that's what everyone's most afraid of, why we really are afraid of all those things is because we fear death, and I think we fear death because we're afraid of being alone, no matter if you have very strong faith, or none at all, there is that worry, whether conscious or subconscious, of being alone.

I'd say losing family and friends, but... that happens to people, and they cope, one way or another. I'm not trying to sound cold or anything, but it's true.
So, I went for Death - it's something that I don't know, that I can't know, anything about, and hence I cannot ever prepare myself for it, because I wouldn't know what I'm preparing for.
