So this is kind of a two-part post.

Here's the first part: Okay, so yesterday I was @ a bookstore, and they had a Harry Potter section. Naturally, I circled the area like a hawk While looking @ the products, I overheard a conversation between a woman and her daughter, I believe, in which she called Dobby "Dohbby". I was just curious as to if anyone else has ever heard HP characters names pronounced wrong, and if so, what character and how did they say it?

And here's the second part: A week or so ago, I heard that after Dec 29, the Harry Potter DVDs will be going on moratorium (for those of u that don't know what that means, essentially after the 29th u won't be able to buy HP DVDs anymore). Does anyone have more info on this? Like, why they are doing this? It makes no sense to me.

I hate it when people pronounce characters names wrong! And I can't believe they'd stop making the DVD's after the 29th! That's crazy! Surely they wouldn't, I mean that's only, what, 26 days to buy the full set!

I don't see them stop making or selling the DVD's but the reason they may do that, is to get people to buy it before its too late, that way make more money $$$

On the 29th, they'll stop producing the individual dvd's, but that won't stop them from releasing full 8-film sets and then they still have the last two Ultimate Fan Edition dvd's to release And besides, a lot of stores (especially amazon) will have plenty of stock left to last few several months before they run out and then it will be strictly the larger sets.

I say it A-lee-sha, but that could just have something to do with where I live.

I've heard plently of people say "Seamus" and "Hagrid" and "Cedric" wrong. IDK how to spell out how they say it wrong, but when they say it it just sounds weird.

I know that my sister & I were waiting for the first HP movie to come out just so we could figure out how to pronounce Hermione's name
