I love, love, love, LOVE it! Definitely one of the best movies I've ever seen, period, and probably my all time personal favorite that I've seen in theaters. This was everything Cursed Child was NOT. I saw it after coming back from the Wizarding World in Universal Orlando, so I had just bought a Ravenclaw robe and was wearing it to show my devotion in public!

All the characters are good, but Newt is my favorite - his awkwardness and general posture were things I could relate to, but Jacob was also great as the first Muggle/No-Maj main character in the Wizarding World. Hopefully he'll get his memories back in the next one, and it's shown in the that he still has some of them even if he doesn't know where they came from.

And I agree with Lissy Longbottom about the adorable Niffler, that was fantastic! Definitely my favorite creature in the film. Whoever knew those Nifflers Hagrid was teaching Care of Magical Creatures with could be such intelligent action packed characters? It almost seems as if they are sentient in a way.

Was anyone else moved when Newt traded the Bowtruckle to the goblin? It was heartbreaking, especially since it was so shy and trusting of Newt. Thankfully he wasn't really giving it up but it was a still a very emotional scene.

The Second Salamers were a very interesting group of baddies, I wonder if the surviving two girls will make an appearance in the next one? One thing I wondered was why their memories of witches were obliviated along with all the other No-Maj's.

It's awesome that Depp will be in the series as Grindleward. I kind of hope (even though I know this is unlikely) that Tim Burton is selected to direct one of the sequels.

I love it, obviously. I think JK being the screenwriter makes all the difference, as finally we can see the story through her eyes.

I agree with you, it's awesome having Depp as Grindelwald, but if Tim Burton were the director, well, it would be +18 rated in my house, I mean, my kids wouldn't be allowed to watch the movie (it'd be a very scary movie for them).

I honestly loved this movie. The first time I saw it because I couldn't resist seeing it a second time because it was just that great! I loved the aspect of all the harry potter jokes. When the women protesting asks, "You sir are you a seeker?" Newt is like, "More like a chaser really." I am like that is clever. The scenery alone as well was magnificent. I am blown away the crew can make those sets and just make a whole universe like for their Ministry. I especially loved seeing the creatures this time around because if you read the books, Rowling did talk about nifflers and all the others and it was nice to have a visual. I especially loved the nifflers because I knew they could be cute

My favorite character was Ezra Miller's portrayal of Credence. It was a unique character/villain/creature we never encountered. My favorite scene was going into the case and seeing all the magical creatures from all over. It was fascinating to an animal lover like myself. Personally being an American, I think this time around it was fun to see a ministry of magic in our neck of the woods. All in all the characters like Queenie and Jacob Kawolski were magnificent. It was fun to see a no maj or a muggle interact with each other.

GAHH! It was soo good! I can't wait to see the other movies in store. I especially can't wait to see what they will do with Grindelwald and seeing Johnny Depp portray him

I never thought of Tim Burton as that scary. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was a family film musical, and Alice in Wonderland is also family friendly. Sure he's made some scary films (like Sleepy Hallow) but recently he's been making PG or PG-13 movies. Miss Peregrine's for example had creepy parts, but they were on the same level of creepiness as Dementors and other Harry Potter villains.

Still, I'm quite happy with David Yates in the director seat.

I've seen it twice - first time in 3D and second in a motion effects seat - and I would gladly go again and again! It was so special, it's so nice that we get to experience the magical world beyond school/Hogwarts and meet a variety of new characters!

The film was spectacular, film of the year for me! Thank you JK Rowling for letting us re-enter the wizarding world so fabulously, and fall in love with some amazing characters and creatures!

Yeah, I'm happy with David Yates being the director too. I think he understands JK thoughts and feelings.

About Tim Burton's movies, well, as I said, they scary my kids. They love them, but after Miss Peregrine for example, my little Slytherin had nightmares. There's something in both the illumination and sounds effects, combined to some close-ups made in the right time that make all the difference... I'm thinking that you're right: Tim Burton should had directed Fantastic Beasts.

Loved the first film, but thought the second film was kinda messed up cos there was a lot of stuffing in HP stuff whenever possible.

Also, the climax and the twist would have been better if there was a better build up to how Credence turned out to be a Dumbledore, cos I don't think they did enough to make the whole Credence-is-Lestrange thing seem so believable.

I think exercising a little more restraint would have worked.

But, great acting and good casting choices cos everyone gets under the skin of their characters effortlessly!

I thought the movie was very well cast and I enjoyed it very much. Parts of it did seem a bit disjointed, however, and I think a lot of people probably had difficulty following the action.
