The main room of Madame Malkin's can quite easily be the most daunting prospect to a customer. Many racks of robes are arranged in a somewhat organized fashion, creating informal aisles leading around the shop, and interspersed among the racks are tables that hold hats, scarves and gloves. Upon exploration, however, you'll find that everything is essentially separated into categories. All of the Hogwarts items are in one area, and everything gets more expensive as it extends back toward the back wall of the shop. There is also a display on one wall, to the left of the main room, of pet collars and such.

Feel free to browse the merchandise, and the shopkeeper and shopkeeper assistant are available if help is needed.

OOC: FYI, shoes are not sold in this shop. I see a lot of people talking about full outfits and such involving shoes, but if you look here, you'll notice shoes are not included.

"I actually just found out I was coming here a few weeks ago when I got my letter. I had no idea I was a witch...my father kept it a secret from me because...well...let's just say that people who look like me stand out...too much..."

She looked down at her feet.

Kurumi smiled. Really, this guy was just asking for a hug at this point. Talking to Adam was really putting her at ease.

She smiled meekly. While her face may not have shown it, she was really happy to be able to talk with someone other than her family about this.

He asked her, smiling, once again

"Green...right." Kurumi responded in an *oh yeah, how could I have forgotten that?!* sort of tone.

Adding the tie to her pile of things, she checked her list for other things she may need. The only thing left were dress robes, but could she really ask for him to wait for her to pick those out as well?

Adam stood quietly as Kurumi looked down a list. He wondered, being all done with his things, if he should wait for her, like a gentlemen, or leave with a nice goodbye and "see you later" type of thing. He stood there, awkwardly swaying again, everytime he got nervous.

Kurumi couldn't help by laugh as Adam started to sway again. While she had only known him for no more than 20 minutes, she already took this to be a sign that he was feeling nervous.

"So...I just have one more thing to buy: dress robes," she said in a very matter of fact tone. "This may take a little while..."

Feenella looked around for the robes, and found 3 in her size. As she went one she found a pointed hat. perfect. A winter cloak was the next thing catching her eye.She grabbed 3 white blouses for Hogwarts next .While she kept on walking she found her ties.She began to squeel as she saw the slytherin ties and scarf. She grabbed three ties and one scarf. Feenella wanted to put them on immediatly. And were her skirts. Yaay, she absolutely loved skirts. She grabbed 3 vests and skirts,then she also grabbed her stockings and went to pay at the counter. This is gonna be awesome.

Jainie walked in the front door of Madam Malkins. After standing in the street staring at the sign for a while, she'd decided that getting robes was probably a good place to start. Now, though, she wasn't sure. There were so many robes and things here, everywhere, she had no idea where to start. She stood there stupidly for a second, debating whether to leave or not. Deciding not, she moved away from the door to a nearby display, where she wouldn't be in anyone's way (she hoped), and discreetly surveyed the room around her to get her bearings.

At least she had company now...

"Madam Malkins, here we are!" Patroclus smiled at Mia, as he opened the door, "Ladies first", he was a true gentleman. "Let's start looking!"

"So where do we start?" She asked as she looked over her shoulder at Pat. Mia realised that he must be at least her age or maybe a little older, sometimes she could never tell. "So do you go to Hogwarts Pat?" One day she would be able to say his name properly.

Sebastien had really gotten himself in deeper than he had expected. He was completely at a lose now. Did he get the silk ones or would she like the satin one? Merlin, maybe he should have paid more attention before. Whom ever said that twins just knew what the other liked must have never met Sylvie, She was going to be hard to shop for. Pulling out two robes, he shook his head. This was why he never shopped for robes. He had always left it for the ladies to do.

Looking at the robes in his hands and then around, he sighed. Perhaps, he would just get the two and be done with it. If she didn't like them, he knew she would just return them for something else. Yes, that was just the way his sister was. They did both look nice and knowing how much of a narcissist Sylvie could be, he knew they had to be nice or she wouldn't even think about wearing them. At least he knew that much about his twin.

With both robes folded over his arm, he made his way toward the counter. Maybe he would find something else on his way. Well, he hoped at least.

He had just begun to move towards the Hogwarts display, re-reading his list as he did so, when he was almost yanked off his feet. "Ye - es," he said, the word disjointed by surprise, "Clothes, that's what we're here for," he nodded cheerfully.

He held out his hands to accept the item she offered and suddenly found himself swimming in a sea of black cloth. "Hummumm!" he try to say through the cloth on his face. He shook his head to remove it and it fell to the floor. "Klaudette!" he exclaimed, "You're smothering me," he said grinning as if he would have liked nothing better.

He set the pile of clothes down on one of the displays and bent down to retrieve what looked like the required winter cloak and the pointed hat. He straightened up. "Shouldn't I try them on, you know, check they fit right?" he asked, hoping to slow the avalanche, "My mum will bring me back if she doesn't think I got proper stuff." he added wryly.

He began trying to sort out the piles into several smaller piles dependant on what particular item they were. Robes in one pile, shirts in another and trousers in a third and a final pile closest to him with the winter cloak and hat sitting on top of it.

Everything was a tad over priced for Mia but she didn't say that out loud. At his suggestion she veered off into another aisle and started looking for some socks. But she could still hear him. "Oh yes this floor feels wonderful on my feet" she called out as she did in fact come across some socks. They weren't padded but they were thick. She picked up a pair in her size and walked back to find Pat.

"That's very kind of you to offer" she said walking back up to him and holding up a pair of socks. "No need for assistance."

And then she got that excited look in her eyes again and she gave a little bounce. "Really? Me too. But it's my first year at Hogwarts. I was homeschooled for the past three years but my father decided that I should go to a proper wizarding school. So here I am." Mia held up her hands and giggled again.

I was homeschooled for the past three years but my father decided that I should go to a proper wizarding school. So here I am." Mia held up her hands and giggled again.

“You found some! Great!” Patroclus was very pleased, the girls seemed to have been in quite some pain, and but now she had some padding! “Did you want me to find out if they have any shoes, or even some flip-flops? I think after awhile you would start to feel the ground again through those socks!”

“Oh! Wow!” the Gryffindor smiled, “Well welcome to Hogwarts,” he looked around, “OK well welcome to being a Hogwarts student. You will love it, it‘s the best home, away from home anyone could ask for!” Patroclus could only image the excitement the girl must be feeling; after all he had experienced it too, three years ago! “My brother was home-schooled as well, as we were traveling, so I can tell you, it will be quite a shock to your system, but you will love it after awhile!”

“So how about those shoes?”
