Laurie stared at the long list of clothes that she needed for her first year at hogwarts and took a deap breath. "ok" she said to herself, "just follow the list"
1. Three sets of plain work robes (black)
2. One plain pointed hat (black) for day wear
3. One winter cloak (black with silver fastenings)
4. Three white shirts for boys or blouses for girls
5. Two grey sweaters, vests or cardigans
6. Two charmable ties in house colours
7. One charmable winter scarf in house colours
8. Two pairs of trousers or shorts for boys, or skirts for girls
9. Three pairs of white knee socks or black wool stockings for girls, or grey knee socks or black ankle socks for boys.
Luckly Lauries mom was with her to help her carry all this. everything was pretty easy to find and the two ties and winter scarf she got were decorated in Hufflepuff's house colors, gold (yellow) and black. She admired the way the two colors complemented eachother and felt pride for her new house.
Finally she came to the end of her list and as she checked off the last items made her way to the counter line.

Avery and his mother, Mrs. Griffon, stepped inside “Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occasions” wide-eyed and in awe from tip to toe. He simply could not believe the things his eyes were seeing. Pictures were yelling at customers for bumping their frames, and clothes were floating without hangers! The pair of them, Mum and son, had been in Diagon Alley for ¾ of an hour. He had just checked his wristwatch, and it was still early in the day; it read precisely a quarter to ten; maybe he was dreaming… Having just emerged from Gringotts, he fervently hoped that the Goblins were just a nightmare.
“Where on earth are we?” Avery asked, utterly perplexed.
Avery was a muggle born, which was immediately apparent to all passerby. He was wearing his best jeans and his favorite Manchester football jersey, which, in the past, had always helped him in a pinch. It had even helped him score a date with Ashley Hale. However, he did not believe it would be of much help today.
Here he was, about to buy… Robes? He glanced down at His Letter…
First Year students will require:

He looked at his mum, the authority on everything clothing, for instruction. She, however, was busy staring at the nearest rack of clothes, a colourful assortment of frilly “Dress Robes”, as if they had just called her something very nasty. After taking a gander around the shop, he noticed that all of the racks were labeled. He saw signs labeling “Dress robes”, “Cloaks”, “Hats” and “Work Robes”.
“I can do this!” he said, a bit too loud causing a sudden giggling outburst from a nearby group of girls.
Having revoked a small reserve of confidence, Avery dove headlong into his List and soon emerged from the dressing room, with an armload of clothes and a ridiculous grin.
He stumbled from the dressing rooms towards the counter without a care in the world!

Justin walked into the shop hoping that he could find all of the school uniforms that were required in his size. He wondered around the shop for a few minutes and hoped that a shop worker would help him find what he was looking for . he wasn't too keen on shopping in the first place. Truth be told he hated shopping.

Raven entered Madame Malkins with a spring in her step. She had done quite a bit of shopping that day and her day was almost over. She would be returning to the Leaky Couldron that night for some pea soup and a good night's rest. This was one of the last shops on her list for the first day of buying supplies. She wanted to give the shopkeeper her measurements. She was 5'7" (American measurements... Raven was American, she didn't know the metric system) and her waist was 28". This was the list of things that she needed for Hogwarts:
1.3 sets of plain work robes, black
2. 1 plain pointed hat, black, for day wear
3. 1 winter cloak (black with silver fastenings)
4. 3 white blouses
5. 1 grey sweater, and 1 grey cardigan
6. 2 charmable ties in Hufflepuff house colors
7. 1 charmable winter scarf in hufflepuff house colors
8. 2 skirts
9. 2 pairs of white knee socks and 1 pair of black wool stockings

Raven wrote this list. There was also a personal note.

"I prefer my name tags to be sewn into the clothing."
Raven stood around waiting for the shopkeeper.
She waved to her parents. "Let's go. We can come back tomorrow. I'll await an owl from the shopkeeper. I will also check back tomorrow in case I don't get one."

Alexis waited outside Madam Malkins until her parents showed up carrying her packages of supplies. She looked inside them. In one package there were her 2nd year books which they had bought from Florish and Botts. In the other bigger package, she found 2 beautiful phoenix feather quills, various bottles of inks in various colors and smells, a beautiful golden ink wellsome parchment paper and a beautiful journal that had her name inscribed on it. There was even an ink bottle that said "Invisible Ink" and another that said "Self Correcting". They would both definitely come in handy. She thanked her parents for helping her with her shopping. Then with both parents in tow, she stepped into Madam Malkins store.

She immediately went to the shelves that stored the school clothing. She had done this before last year, so she already knew what she needed. She would need 3 sets of black plain work robes, one plain pointed hat for day wear, one winter cloak, black with silver fastenings, four white blouses,"three wasn't enough", she thought. "I keep getting them dirty so fast", two grey sweaters, two pairs of skirts, four pairs of black wool stockings and three pairs of white knee socks,"just in case," she thought. She then picked up 2 charmable ties and one charmable scarf in Hufflepuff colors.

She then remembered that she needed to pick up a pair of protective gloves, so she walked over to the shelves that held the gloves and looked them over. She picked up a pair of dragon hide gloves. "Might as well pick up some other accessories while I'm here", she thought. So she reached for a pair of soft leather gloves, a pair of yellow knit gloves, a pair of fur trimmed gloves, a lavender colored silk scarf and a yellow knitted hat.

She was about to make her way up to the changing room to try on her items but then her mother reminded her that she needed a new dress robe as she had accidentally torn the bottom of the one she had worn last year, the one that used to belong to her sister and was handed down to her. "Thank goodness I won't have to wear that again this year,"she thought to herself. She was so glad that her mother had reminded her of that and thanked her.

She quickly walked over to the area that displayed the dress robes. They were all so beautiful and she had trouble picking one. Finally with the advice of her parents, she decided on a shimmering lavender and yellow satin dress robe. It has small sequins sewn into it, so much so that they glittered like stars. Happy with her choice, she made her way to the changing rooms.

Resisting the urge to take advantage of her newfound freedom, Sinead did the practical thing and walked all the way back up the street from Ollivander’s to Madame Malkin’s. She had passed a spectacular carnival, Eyelops, the Quidditch shop, and scrumptious ice cream, all with only a few longing glances and hesitations. Those could be returned to later – and father had mentioned that they might all come back as a family later in the week for a carnival. IF Brighid would be allowed.

Running her finger down her supply list, Sinead thought again of how boring the school robes were. The night before, Sinead had gone through her closest with her mother, neatly crossing off what wouldn’t need to be bought. Black cloak with silver fastenings - check. Three white shirts, two skirts, and more than enough stockings – check (there were benefits to having a sister living in the Muggle world). Sinead even had two pairs of plain black robes at home, thrown in among her preferred blues and greens and purples.

As Sinead found another black robe, a grey sweater, and a grey cardigan – all three a little long in the arms – Sinead remembered the time her mother had brought her to Twilfit and Tattings for dress robes. They were more regal and beautiful, but there was something to be said for shopping in a place that welcomed children.

Sinead tossed a pointed hat and a pair of dragon-hide gloves onto the pile growing in her arms. She found the charmable ties and charmable scarf, and grabbed them, wondering once again as she did so what house she would be sorted into – Slytherin like her mother, Ravenclaw like her father, or something else entirely? Almost tripping on a trailing sleeve of the sweater, Sinead stumbled up to the counter, pushing the worry from her mind that she was a Squib, like her sister, and was not suited for anything but caretaker’s work.

Nora grinned as she took the list and scanned it really quickly. Alright. Everything seemed to be there... somewhere. At least they had a pretty... tie? She'll figure something out, to make the uniform look more cheerful.

"Thank you," she said, handing over the list back to Desiree. Just then, she noticed that the girl was already looking for everything they needed, so she decided to do the same thing.

"I suppose I should go now," Nora said, when she finally had everything piled up in her hands. "But it was nice meeting you." Aaaand just with a smile, since her hands were not available to wave, she walked over to the counter to pay for everything.

Yeah... KID. What else?! "U-huh." he said smiling at the girl. Why was she all of a sudden surprised to be called a kid after all she is one. What? She thinks that Jonathan acts too much of an adult to be calling her a kid? Nah, not really. Jonathan just likes calling them that when they're younger than him or maybe it's because of his uncles who always had the same principle as he did...

He needed to change that if someone gets offended over him calling someone a kid.

He smiled as the girl asked a question. "I'm 15." he answered. He recently turned 15. This June in fact. His friends only knew his birthday, so he didn't get much birthday cards during his day. Not to worry. He likes it that way.

Anna walked into Madame Malkins with a smile on her face. She was excited to purchase her first school uniform. She quickly went through the store finding the clothes she needed on her list. "Ok... three sets of plain work robes" she thought to herself. She rounded the corner and then found it. She cheaked it off her list going down it. Before she knew it was she already getting her first two Hufflepuff ties. She got an extra winter scarf, yellow and black of course. Then finished off the last two items on her Uniform list. She went back to the fitting room to try on her clothes. She didn't want anything too big or too small for her first year at Hogwarts.

Audrey entered Madame Malkins with her mother. She took one look at the place and scoffed at all the other first years. "Come Audrey," her mother ordered and she quickly followed her mother's commands. She took out the list supply and read it over one more time. Her mother took out some plain work robes and handed it to her. Audrey quickly walked off to the changing rooms to try them on.

Adanna came in to Madame Malkins eagerly, unsure of what to pick up first. She looked around, gaping at the sights, and let out a quiet squeal. Half from excitement, half from nervousness. She straightened up, smoothed down her skirt, and took her supply list from the inside pocket of her jacket.
"Let's see . . . first is three sets of plain work robes. Black in colour." She read aloud. She looked up from her list and spotted what she needed.
"Aha!" she exclaimed, a bit louder than she should've.
She made her way over and searched for three size smalls. Once she found them, she made her way down the list, picking up one plain pointed hat in black, one black winter cloak with silver fastenings, four white blouses ("It calls for three, but I'll get four. Even number!"), two grey vests, two grey sweaters, two charmable Hufflepuff ties, one charmable Hufflepuff winter scarf, two skirts, and three pairs of black wool stockings.

Pleased with herself, she double-checked her list to make sure she had everything, then headed to the counter to make her purchases.

Desiree had found everything she needed. She actually really liked the school clothes, well maybe not the hat.. as she walked by the dressing rooms she had to fight the urge to go try everyhting on. She really should be going.

When she got back to the robes she noticed Nora had already found everyhting, and was heading over to the counter. "Ya it was nice meeting you too." Desiree said grinning as her hands were just as full as Nora's "Im sure we'll be seeing each other a lot at Hogwarts, especially since we're both in Slytherin" she added nodding at the green tie she had noticed.

Just then she saw the familiar faces if her parents waiting outside the shop, and she quickly followed Nora to the counter to pay.

Sarah pushed through the door, and glanced around the shop. It was rather crowded, she thought, for a small clothing shop. She soon forgot about that, though, when she caught sight of all the different robes she would need to look at...

Ira entered the cloth shop...but felt all weird seeing the robes and god knows what others. Being a muggleborn, she did not at all know what all this was. Today she was tired from exploring the Diagon Alley. And she hated shopping for clothes. But maybe she would just select something and be done over it.
Thinking so she went to the Hogwarts section and read her list to see what she would require:
2 or 3 blouses, skirts ties socks, shoes ...the list was unending..
Oh wait did she just read 'Robes'? Like those she had seen on TV, ther ones magicians wore...WOW!! She needed 3 sets of black robes..maybe she should take 4 of them. She excitedly went over to the robes section. Well red was her favorite color and also her house color so maybe she would even get a dark red robe... She found an awesome variety there!
She then picked up what else she needed like 2 Gryff ties, one winter cloak, 2 sweaters etc etc
She went off to the changing rooms to try them

Isadora quietly opened the door and walked through. She glanced around to see where everything was, the black robes, the blouses, and it seemed everything on the list. She decided to go to the blouses first, figuring from the inside out. She had almost gotten everything she needed. She scanned over her list again crossing everything off as she went.

on it was scribbled:

Santana walked down the full length of the shop. "Oh I like these." She said quietly to herself, exaniming deep purple dress robes. She searched the rack fo a size medium, when she found it Santana ran off to the dressing rooms. She looked at herself in the mirror, she'd always looked good in purple with hair the color of a tree's bark, and eyes as blue as the open sky. She twirled and laughed, then quickly undressed to buy them.

Blaire walked into the shop, her nose buried in her list. She set off, looking for the clothing that she needed for her first year. She picked out all the things on the list, hoping they fit, and headed to the dressing rooms to try everything on, while her father took a seat in one of the cushioned chairs.

Elizabeth walks in to the scarfs and ties. She had already bought a robe from a diffrent store but that store didn't have the scarfs and ties that she wanted.

She looked though the racks for about a half hour before she could find the right color for the scraf and tie. Since she was sorted into Slytherin house (Just like the rest of her family) she had to get the right colors (Green and Silver). She was pretty much jumpimg out her skin when she finally found them.

George and his father looked down at the school list. Hmm, thought George, I suppose we should go get school uniforms. George hated clothes shopping, but today had already shown him that even the most mundane tasks were no longer mundane. So he pointed out the robes shop called Madame Malkins' and headed off up the street in that direction. He entered the shop and headed directly into the robe display. George glanced at his list and saw that quantities were the minimum suggested amounts. He decided to goo ahead and get a few extra things while he was here, just in case. He walked over to the work robes and picked out 5 robes that were his size (he presumed) and continued shopping. He decided that he would only need one hat and winter cloak but got 5 white shirts and two grey sweaters. He picked up two Slytherin ties (He was so excited to be in Slytherin House!) and one Slytherin winter scarf. He also grabbed two pairs of school trousers and two pair of shorts. The last thing on his list was socks, which he grabbed on his way to the dressing rooms

Michael Reese was looking around for dress robes when he bumped into a Gryffindor girl. "I'm so sorry!" he apologized to her picking up her purple dress robe. "Fourth year? Me too!" he said handing her her dressrobes.

Erin looking bewildered with so many clothes required in Hogwarts, she entered Madam Malkin's shop. She heard it's the best there is. She saw some boys and girls lurking around the shop looking for things they needed, some were assisted by shopkeeper's assistants, some with their parents, some with company of their age while others are just alone, just like her. From the stores she had visited earlier, nobody bothered to approached her and be friends with her. Is she different? Is she the only Muggle here and all these children are of wizard's blood? In her mind, maybe she needed to approached someone instead of waiting for them to approached her.

Then, she opened the letter from Hogwarts carefully studied what she needed then looked for someone who could assist her.

I walked into the shop and sawhow busy it was. Lots of children wererunning around trying to find all the things they needed. I found my mother and told her we needed to find:

I can tell I was goig to have some fun today!

Jack shuffled in to the shop, his mother close at his heels. His eye was a bit sore from his earlier beating, but it was nothing compared to others... He glanced at his list.



"Hurry up, boy!" Barked Annette, Jack's mother, in to his ear. She glared around impatiently, "I'm going to get some coffee, or whatever caffeinated drinks they serve in this dump of a street." She took a moment to glare around again, then stormed off.

Jack sighed, relieved to be parted from his mother, but really embarrassed by her actions. He picked up all the stuff he needed, and made his way to the counter.

"No I think I can handle this on my own," Zacharias said to his father as he was walking into the store.
OK then, just call if ymu need anything," his mother said as they waited for him outside of the store, she looked around a little frightened by everything that was going on around her. As Zacharias walker into the store he gasped. Everything was so amazing compared to the muggle shops he was used to. People in pictures moving, clothes moving on their own, and he even thought he saw a miniature broom flying around the room with children laughing at it.
He was looking arouns the room to see if he could spot someone that looked like they worked there, but even if he did see them, he thought to himself, he probably wouldn't recognize them due to the fact that this was the first magical shop he had been in. Clutching his money in one hand and a list of his required school clothing in the other, he walked over to a lady and asked do you happen to work here? I have a list of things I need, but I don't have a clue as where to find them..
