Nathan walked up to the counter at the back of the shop. He needed almost everything on his school supply list. He saw there wasn't anyone at the counter so he stood beside it and waited for one of the shopkeepers.

Carson walked into Madame Malkins, hearing the familiar tinkling of the bell in the shop. She was surprised to see someone there before her - not that she minded, but it seemed a bit early in the day, even for her. She, too, approached the counter to patiently wait behind the boy. That was when she realized it was a boy in her house whom she had met only once and Carosn, being Carson, she couldn't not say hello. "Hi, Nathan," she said with a smile.

Walking up to the counter at Madame Malkins JD happily waits his turn. He was excited because for the first time in 4 years he'd finally grown enough to require a drastic changen of length on his robes. 7 inches! he thought happily, it was by time...he was finally five feet tall.

Taking out his list he starts looking over it, making sure he didn't forget anything.

His mum figured he should have a new set of dress robes...why he wasn't sure they needed them for the ball last term, but this term? Shrugging he figured he'd just get them anyway.

Dianna walked in Madam Malkins with a smile on her face. She really didn't need any new robes since they still fit her but her mum insisted so on getting new ones. She lined up behind some fourth years waiting for her turn.

Maddie smiled and lined up behind a few other people at the counter, waiting to be measured. She held a pile of robes and accessories in her hand that she'd picked from the shelves, and she was ready to be measured and then pay. She'd picked up everything necessary for a second-year student, as well as two pairs of dress robes and a pair of leather gloves.

Alice walked up to the line and stood in the back. She had managed to trip at least twice on her new robes, which she was hoping the shopkeeper would be able to fix for her. Alice didn't know why she was so short, seeing as her mom and dad were both around six feet tall, but for whatever the reason she was. Thankfully things like the length of the robes could be adjusted....if not it was going to be a rough year.

Alex walked up to the counter and waited for the shopkeeper. She needed a lot of things for Hogwarts. She kept on looking at her list, so she wouldn't forget anything. She was so excited.

Joining the queue and waiting to be measured, Eliza glanced down at all the uniform she held in her arms. Two of everything on the list, plus her two pairs of dress robes. That was probably a lot. Then again, Daddy had given her quite a lot of money to buy all her supplies...

Adam saw another girl, around his age , inside the shop. She had tried to make her trip look like a dance move, and he quietly laughed to himself. He waited around for Madam Malkin, tapping his fingers on the counter top. Adam wished she'd show up by now, he really hated getting clothes fixed and trimmed, and with a lady he barely knew... Awkward..

Sergio had grabbed everything he needed for his first year. Black robes, a hat, ties and trousers. He saw there was a line already forming so he quickly went and stood in line.

Aliceara had been wandering through the racks, both waiting for customers to arrive and keeping an eye on the tiny gray fuzzball that was Alexander. The kneazle kitten had annoyed her until she'd decided to bring him into the shop with her, but now she needed to make sure he didn't get into trouble. Either way, he'd distracted her enough that next thing she knew, a line was starting to form at the counter, and she hurried over. "Hi," she said to the first boy in line, "Welcome to Madame Malkin's. How may I help you today?" He didn't seem to have already gotten robes or anything, so it piqued her curiosity. As far as she knew, people would have loked through the racks on the way back here. But at least she could help him somehow, until robes really got involved.

She flashed a smile in the direction of the girl standing behind the first boy in line, who obviously seemed to know him. Another person without any obvious purchases yet, but there was no reason to not try to help her. "Anything I can help you to find?," she asked the girl, as friendly as she could be when she hadn't been really noticed yet. Perhaps she could figure out a way to help multiple people at once. It would save time.

Yet another person who seemed like they had come to the counter before finding robes and everything, Alice noted as her blue eyes continued down the line at the counter. At least he was scanning a list. She hadn't memorized the Hogwarts requirements quite yet, having spent more time working on the shop than stuff like that in the previous weeks. "Let me know if you need anything," she commented to him, hoping he was paying enough attention to his surroundings so as not to be surprised that he was being spoken to.

Alice then smiled at the next girl in line, while waiting for the first few to respond. "Welcome to Madame Malkin's," she greeted her. "If you'd like, you can look around. I would imagine you can find what you need." She was in the shop, obviously. The likelihood of her not looking for robes, or any other sort of apparel was slim. "Or, if you have any questions, feel free to ask." It shouldn't take long to answer.

Continuing to try and help as many people as possible, Alice continued down the line of people waiting. "Hi. Welcome to Madame Malkin's," she said to the next girl in line. Who thankfully had apparently already picked robes out. "Are you ready to finish things up, or is there anything I need to help you with?," she asked. If things kept up, it was going to be hard for her to keep up. But she'd manage. It wasn't the most difficult thing she'd had to accomplish.

Alice's eyes widened as she watched the next girl in line. That didn't look really safe, and she hoped the girl didn't get hurt wandering around in the overly-long robes. "Are you okay?," she asked, concern leaking through her professional facade. "I'm guessing you need me to adjust the hemline. If you want those robes," she continued, back to her normal tone of voice. She'd thought there were shorter robes in stock, but maybe she was wrong. Or the girl had simply wanted these instead.

Alice glanced at the next girl in line to see her scanning another list, and smiled. At least she had something to do while she'd waited. "Hi, and welcome to Madame Malkin's," she said in greeting, and to get the girl's attention. "Can I help you find anything?" She could perhaps get the girl started in finding what she was looking for. At least she could make herself know, to be able to answer questions.

Alice smiled at the next girl in line, practically lost behind everything she was holding in her arms. "Welcome to Madame Malkin's," she said. "Did you find everything you were looking for?" It certainly seemed that way. Now she just needed to find out if everything had fit correctly, or if she needed to do anything. Part of her hoped for the former, just because then she would have helped her first customer, fully.

While waiting for any of the customers she'd already spoken to to respond, Alice became distracted by the sound of someone drumming fingertips on the counter. It seemed someone was anxious to get helped, and she glanced back to see a boy standing there. "Hi," she said, turning on her heel to walk back over to the counter. She'd gotten a little distance away while speaking to the other customers. "Can I help you with anything?"

Alice ran a slender hand through her hair, tousling it again in her nervous habit, as she scanned the floor for more customers. And then she glanced down to see another boy in line, that she hadn't spoken to yet. Taking a few steps over to him, she smiled. "Welcome to Madame Malkin's," she said, before glancing back at the counter. "Are you ready to make your purchases?," she asked then, returning her gaze to the boy and taking in the items he was holding.

Eliza smiled at the woman and glanced down at the huge mound of folded clothes in her arms. She'd tried them all on, and had got the right sizes and everything. So, she didn't need to be measured. Which was good. 'No, I just need to pay' she told the shopkeeper politely

Maddie smiled at the shopkeeper. She'd definitely got everything, that was for sure. And it all fit - she'd tried everything on. 'No, that's everything, I'm finished. Do I pay here?' she asked, glancing down at her supply list and going through it in her head.

Dianna held up two robes and shrugged.
"Erm.. Yeah I do need help.. Erm.. I'm not so sure which size I should get..?" she said.

Alice smiled at the shopkeeper and placed the robes up on the counter. She was thankful to have them up and away from her and was even more pleased to hear they could be hemmed.

"If you could make these shorter, that would be incredible!"

Alice knew there had been some robes that were on the shorter side but none of them seemed to fit just right everywhere else like these ones had. She hoped she wasn't inconveniencing the shopkeeper by having her hem them. After all there was a bit of a line.

"I hope it's not too inconvenient to get these hemmed? I saw you had shorter ones but they just didn't quite fit the same. But if you need me to go and get the shorter ones I can."

Alice didn't know why she was so paranoid about inconveniencing people, but she was, and she was looking at the shopkeeper with an immense amount of hope that she wouldn't be annoyed.

Carson smiled at the shopkeeper, as she seemed nice enough. "Yes, actually. I need a set of periwinkle silk dress robes, a new pair of dragon-hide gloves, and a knit hat, please." Carson had no idea she was basically out of order for all of this, seeing as she hadn't ever been in this particular shop on Diagon Alley.

Lilyana decided she had everything she needed and walked to the counter. There were a few people in front of her, and she hoped that they would hurry. She can't hold on to all her new clothes for much longer! She was a first year, therefore needing all new things-and that was almost more than she could hold. But she desperately needed these adjusted, so she decided she could wait just a bit longer.

Adam looked at the lady." Y-Yes, please." He asked politely ." Can you fix my robes to my size... This seems to be too big for me." Adam told her.

"Yes. How much for the lot?" asked Sergio, while looking at her hands.

Three sets of plain work robes (black)
One winter cloak (black with silver fastenings)
Two charmable ties ravenclaw
One charmable winter scarf ravenclaw
Three white blouses
Two grey vests
Two skirts
Three pairs of white knee socks
thanks and how much will that be she asked

Sophia walked up to the counter and said "I have 3 work robes, 2 hats, one winter cloak, 3 white blouses, 3 grey cardigans, 3 Gryffindor ties, 1 gryffindor scarf, 3 skirts, and three pairs of white socks. How much will the lot be?" she asked, politely.

Kita didn't know whether to go to the counter or the changing rooms first. She looked down at the clothes in her hand and realised with a sinking feeling that they were all probably too big for her. That only means one thing, she thought as she looked up and saw a tape measure. She groaned. Why do i have to be so small? she thought. She made her way towards the counter; deciding to leave the hassle of trying them on seeing as she already knew that they were too big and needed to be fitted.

Looking down at her dress, Kita had the strangest feeling that the dress robes she was holding seemed to be twinkling up at her almost as if telling her to go along with it. Shaking her head, she realised that she would need to go to Florean Fortescue's once she was done shopping.

Nathan was daydreaming. His mind wandered off somewhere when he was standing in front of the counter and it didn't come back until the shopkeeper came back and there was a big line of people behind him. He fumbled for his list before he smiled at the shopkeeper. "Hi. I need to buy three sets of black work robes, A black winter cloak with silver fastenings, and a set of dress robes please." he said. He had grown over the summer and needed new things.

Amy skipped up to the long line in front of the counter as she stood in line waiting holding her new robes she started humming to herself then suddenly the line moved ahead but she hadn't noticed till her pygmy puff started rubbing against her cheek she stroked it's soft purple fur and began waiting again
