Due to popular request, I've decide to start a help thread for avatar makers so we can discuss issues that arise.
Rules:
1) To post in this thread, you must have your own thread in Madam Malkin's.
2) You can bring up topics like stealing work, stealing bandwith, people that request the same thing in multiple threads, etc.
3) Try to help each other out with problems so we won't have to bother the mods about everything.
I was thinking that we could also exchange ideas and sites, as well. It's interesting to know how other people work, and I have no problem with giving tips.

Did anyone see in the Submit Your Sig thread, they took away Chriss's rules and Ty made new ones. I think they should have left hers there as a relic of her time at SS.
There is this person called Ravenclaw Gal who is posting the same request in peoples threads, they did in Hermione_loves_ron's one, and tara's.

I put the first challenge up already! YAY! I'm glad people want to do it. Mer is a bit mad though because I can't enter, which I think is fair since I'm counting the votes. XD But I'm giving alot of time for people to enter since I have midterms this week and next. | |

THe swilry things that I added to Chriss' banner were brush effests. I searched the web for free brushes to add to my program. That is how I found the swirlys. adn that font looks like Scriptina. You can search the web for free fonts as well .Scriptina is a free font that can be found by searching the web for free fonts. | |

Well, I didn't want to bother them with the thread, since the Submit Your Sig isn't going too smoothly since there are tons of noobies not reading the rules. Plus I like to feel like I'm in charge! (XD power rush!) Hehe, anyway, I did make one for the challenge and Mer told me to submit it. And I was thinking of having the winner count the votes if they wanted to of course, but I'm fine doing it. Mer told me to submit it, but I was just worried that everyone else would think I would cheat. Which I wouldn't cause that's just stupid and then you just don't feel any pride or anything. (You can tell that I should be studying, but instead feel like rambling).
Yeah, Lu downloaded that font. Don't know what it is but I can ask her. | |

That way someone different is winning the next time. And I have no problem with the person counting the votes to have an entry either. So either way. I'll support the decision that you make.  | |

My program doesn't support fading animation. Sorry, I don't know how.

I must confess, I cannot figure out Photoshop 7 to save my life. I took a break from studying and spent two and a half hours playing around with, but to no avail...The help menu is one of the crappiest I've ever seen! It doesn't make any sense to me... I did, however, have a little luck with Adobe ImageReady (the software that always comes with standard versions of Photoshop). I found this tutorial online because my 'printscreen' button is malfunctioning (I need to find my other keyboard).

Oh, yeah...Morgue told me that the LotA contest is ending sooner, so I made something for that. Also, if you know anyone who makes their own stuff, could you PM them and tell them about the icontest? More competition makes it more fun!
