Hello Steph and Jo! Welcome to the club!

I haven't posted for a few days, I was just out. We're having a short break from school now and I've got many other things to do.

Keep on posting the art!

So far we've got ones from ArtDungeon (Marta), Chamber of Keys, Maleficium (Tina Lynn), Caladan's art...

Oh, and this one is by LMRourke, I know her art very well, it's great I shall post some more soon.

I really like all the fanart. it's very good. I was working on one but after I have seen some of yours I won't be submitting it. It is horrible. I enjoy yours though and can't wait to see more.

This is great! loved it!!

Once I tried to make a Sirius, just like I pictured it, but in my draw he looked more like a wolf, lots of hair everywhere :S lol

If I can find it I'll post it here for you to see

What did you think about the werewolf Lupin in the 3rd movie? I was counting for something a bit more "wolf" :S he looked pretty strange to me. What's your opinion?

I don't know, I thought the anatomy of the werewolf was interesting, like a different perspective. I kind of liked the look. I mean compared to like a werewolf in the movie Van Helsing, I liked the look in POA because it wasn't so aggressive, more of the character could be seen through the werewolf, like there was more personification. That's just my opinion.

I didn't like the computer-animated werewolf in PoA either. I imagined that he should look more like a wolf, all furry and everything. Padfoot looked more like the werewolf I imagined than the creature they showed.

Yes, thats what I thought at first ... but I realised that I was thinking of a wolf instead of a werewolf and there are differences, which we learned earlier on in the book. The people in design and visual effects really picked up on those differences to make it look like a werewolf and shake of the stereotype of one looking like a normal wolf. Besides, it made it interesting.

Yeah, but when they learned the differences (in the book) they made it sound that they were both very familiar! I continued to imagine it as a furry wolf shaped man.

this is my oppinion of cours, we don't have to agree

This is way off topic about art, but....

Check out http://www.whimsicalley.com/ for May 2006.
Any of us close to Santa Monica, California, U.S.A. have to go and report!!!
The poster is awsome! (OK, perhaps this does have something to do with Lupin artwork afterall!)

Wow, the link is nice, however I don't think I might come there

As for the werewolf... I didn't like it at all. I knew it can't look exactly like a wolf, because it is not a wolf. Anyway, it should be more furry, as Chelle said I read somewhere that it looked like a 'unfeathered chicken'. Lol. A bit true. I think it would be good in the way it was, only if it had more fur.

Hi! Serena and welcome. I did not like the wolf in POA either. I was looking forward to seeing him transform. I pictured the transformation more like the one in American werewolf in London only less cheesy. Bones cracking, Hair changing, teeth extending. I expected the computer animation you really couldn't make Harry Potter without it. I just pictured it differently.

One thing that bugged me was when Snape was teaching about werewolves, I as like, "Okay, so maybe Lupin is going to look like that, kind of more dog/wolf-like with fur, but have human qualities." But, then it turned out totally different. I like the potential, like there's originality with the werewolf look in POA, but it's not entirely what I expected.

Yeah that was pretty original, he looked awesome, terrifying, and we could all understand that under that form he could not control himself even when Hermione called him, it kinda looked like he knew he was Professor Lupin, but the animal instincts were stronger.
But just ike u said, it wasn't entirely what I, you, we were expecting.

I personally liked the werewolf. Again, it was much better than I had expected. Most werewolves are really bulky, but Lupin actually seemed like a mixture between a man and a wolf.

Was it in the book or the movie that Snape said that a werewolf will answer to the call of it's own kind? Either way why do you think he run after Hermione in the movie when she called?

I think it was just the movie, and I think they threw that in there to go with the whole "Time" scene. And I think what Snape meant by call was the sound...the whole 'Aah-woooo!' You know? But, I think it was thrown in here for how they wanted it to fit altogether.

yeah maybe they refered to the "Aah-wooooo!" thing..
but if you think hard, if we say woof wooof to a dog he dont come to us like we're a dog well, it was just on the movie that's sure, and I agree when u say that it was ll made to fit with the time turner scene (:
