Hogwarts RPG Name: Moira Anne Weasley Fifth | I'll talk to you tomorrow then. I hope that everyone will show their artistic talents for Lupin. I even have an idea for someone I can't get it to come out the way I want it maybe someone else will. The moon is the background. One side Lupin's face the other side snarling wolf. Fill free to use the idea. I am not going to I have something else. Just be sure that only one person does it. Post on here if you want to use it, that way everyone else will know who is using the idea. We will make it easy the first person to say they would like to use the Lupin/moon idea will be the one to do it. Have fun and Good Luck.
I hope it is o.k. to give examples or ideas if not please let me know.

| You mean photomanipulations or what? Well, I think that using any photos wouldn't be good. On the other hand, you might draw something and use some photo as a reference. |

Come on, people, is it a problem to say what's your favourite Remus fan art? I'm sure you do have some! |

| | | Here's my favourite piece of Remus fanart. It includes Tonks, so I hope that's acceptable... I wasn't sure if it was meant to be Remus on his own
Everytime I look at this, I get shivers. It's just so beautiful
Credit goes to Caladan Tonks/Remus | |

| I LOVE Caladan's work; I was going to suggest her art myself! But that's okay, I have other art in mind too. Which I will post when I have more time. |

| I must say I love Caladan's technique Her Tonks is very good, but unfortunately I don't like her Remus. He looks kinda weird for me, older than he really is. These long hair, beard and moustache, strange clothing... nope, that isn't it :/ |

Not necessarily David Thewlis... I picture him different also.
I love how she captures the tender, gentle moments between them

| I know the Tonks in that picture is perfect, or at least it'd deffinately how I see her...Lupin is alright and you really cannot tell, but I picture him scruffier.... |

Second | I really like her (Caladan's) originality. It's not how I imagined him either, he's a bit grizzly, but it's through her eyes, and that's really cool. I love how Tonks looks also!
There's just so much tenderness in her pictures that's really captivating and emotional. One thing I really like in all her pics is the enviroment and the clothing. There's all these little details in everything that she does it's so unique and really intriguing...
I guess when I first pictured Lupin I was thinking of a more Ewan McGregor-look, but I'm really satisfied with David Thewlis! |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Saroja First | I agree. I don't much care for those fanpics of Remus. I think in some sense Thewlis captured the character, though I disliked the DADA scene when he squares off against the bogart. The book distinctly describes Lupin as dispensing it almost lazily, a clear reference to the fact that he had no doubt by this point in his life come to terms with who he was.
Also, Thewlis' portrayal of Lupin in the shrieking shack was disappointing. Sirius was the crazy one Dave, not Lupin.
I did picture him as looking tired, worn, and fatherly though. |

They're the ones who ultimately decided how he would look and act and what he would say in the film, and it doesn't fit with the books at all.
I'm really really hoping that in the next movie Remus will be a lot more like book Remus. |

| | | The thing was with me, was that I hadn't even picked up a Harry Potter book when I went to see POA, so I had no preconceptions of what Remus should look like. I immediately warmed to Thewlis' approach to the character, although now having read the book, I feel that maybe in certain scenes he could have been slightly softer. | |

| Yes I agree. I think he played the part well but different to what I expected. Also, some scenes I think he was acting Remus as the character he had made and not the true Remus in the book ... eg, sometimes he would rush which isnt like the Remus in the book but the Remus David portrayed in the movies. < Did that make sence?
