"Well, we're still a bit understaffed, so I'll send all of 'em," he said, his drawl tapering out as he flipped through the folder on his desk.

He pulled out his thick, dark wood wand and tapped a sheet of parchment. The wand was almost gavel-like... He pushed the new list toward Alison and sat back.

Alison smiled politely, and she was screaming and hopping in joy inside. "Thank you very much, Mr. Wordsmith. This will help me out a lot." She said. She reached forwards and took the list, studying the list carefully. She noted that there were only seven people and resisted the temptation of raising an eyebrow. She instead said, "Well, I'd best be off to make the report. Again, thank you." She said, getting up. She smiled, and left the office, her heels again making the clicking noises, as she exited.

Syd sat back and shook his head as she left. The Minister probably wasn't going to be too happy with 7 people, but it's all he had. If the Minister had a problem with it- he'd have to find Syd more Aurors and Hit Wizards.

Erin knocked on Syd's door after a long day, she needed to fill him on on some things and ask him a quick question that was all

Syd nodded to Angus as he exited the room. Yet another good judge. He had sure lucked out... Lucked out indeed. Syd was then about to put a file back into his desk when he heard another knock.

"Come in," he said, getting comfortable.

Erin entered the room. "Hey boss, I wanted to ask you do you know where I can find an obliviator for the Cardiff Sting? And also I needed to tell you I reviewed all my employees and Miss Todd has accepted the position as my assistant."

"Obliviators are on Level 3. Ask for Ivan Callistus, he'll help you out," Syd said, folding his hands.

The position of assistant had been filled pretty quickly too. That was good at least. Erin was the one person around the office who really needed one.

"Just make sure Miss Todd knows what she's getting into," Syd chuckled.

Edward gets off the lift and walks down the hall. He needs to find the Office of the head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. Edward needs to check in. The color of the walls and the carpet are the same as they were 13 years ago. "Some things never change." At the end of the hall is an enpressive door with large gold lettering on it. Syd Wordsmith's Office, Department of Magical Law Enforcement "This must be the place." Edward knocks on the door.

A small owl flew through the door without warning and dropped a note on the desk, and flew back out the door. The note said the following.

Dear Mr. Wordsmith,

I hate to bother you like this, but I'm away on a medical emergency. I'd appreciate it very much if you could pick some people. We will need the Auror division head and two other aurors of your choice, two hit wizards, and one or two members of the magical law enforcement squad. Please, for the sake of security, put the best in each area at the wedding. Also, please send the details to me using an owl, as I will need to write a report of who will be there. Thank you!

"Come in," Syd said as whoever it was outside knocked on the door.

His office was rather busy. The door was going to get warn through with all the knocking that was going on. Maybe he could just leave it open... no, no that would be bad.

He picked up the note on his desk and read it with a sigh. Now he had to pick Aurors and MLEs. His job was never done.

Edward takes a seat and waits until Mr. Wordsmith had finished with the memo. "Hello, I'm Edward Lestrange. I asume you know I've been reassigned from the training camp to Auror Headquarters." Edward puts his file on the desk. He can't help put stare at Woodsmith. He looks way to young to be head of the department. It was going to take a little getting used to have superiors so much younger than him.

Erin got off the lift and walked straight to syd's office. She hated to have to approach him again twice in one day, but she felt that she needed to report this. She probably looked like she hadn't slept for days but that was simply out of worry for her niece and nephew.

Syd smiled to Edward and picked up the file. Yes, the Auror Training Camp fellow. He'd be of good use these days. The file closed as Erin came into view through the partially opened door.

"Yes, Lestrange, I'm quite excited to have you here," he said, drawl growing a little stronger as he was now a tad bit tireder than he was earlier.

"Come on in Miss O'Connor," he said before she even got a chance to knock.

Erin smiled at the young man and extended her hand to shake his. "Hello I'm Erin O'Connor." She smiled then turned to Syd. "Syd I've got a bit of a problem. Earlier today a young man from Level 7 brought me up a biting teapot. Then he told me his boss had a letter that accompanied it. So I went to 7 to get the letter for forensic testing and was able to recover it, but the gentleman a Mr. Theo, would not allow me to get the fingerprints of himself nor the other known employee to have touched the letter without a note from you.

Siobhan knocked on the door harshly and in rapid succession. She really hoped he was there. It didn't matter if he was busy, at least not to her. She was not one to be kept waiting. Besides, she was eager to get out on the field already and she couldn't do that until she got the list. She stood there, arms crossed and scowl on her face, and waited.

"Nice to me you, Miss O'Connor. You really don't need permission from the Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement to ask Ministry employees to subject to finger printing. According to the Magical Law Code Section 5, subsection 37, Magical Law Enforcement personal may ask witches or wizards to submit to finger printing without requiring prior authorization from the head of their department.

Section 3, Subsection 6 does state that any witch or wizard has the right to refuse to search of himself and/or his property, interrogation, finger printing, or any other forensic technique that would be in violation of their human rights. The Law Enforcement Officer can request the head of their department issue a warrent requiring said witch or wizard to undergo said forensic testing providing there is proof that carrying out said test will aid in that Magical Officers investigation.

My advise would be to inform the individuals of their rights, and also inform them that the Head of Magical Law Enforcement can request the Head of their Department to suspend the employees without pay until such time as they comply with said warrent. I would also tell them it can take several weeks to get said warrent processed. I think that will help them decide to cooperate with you. After all it's only a a biting tea pot. Hardly worth all the paper work involved in getting a warrent."

"Yes, what Lestrange here said," Syd said, folding his hands on his desk. "I see no reason as to why we can't collect prints, but if this person really does not want to do so, we can find a way in which to connect the person to what's going on and get the prints. The refusal is only going to backfire in this case."

He looked behind Erin and saw someone else back there at the door. Now who was it that needed him? Yes, the office was big, but it wasn't meant for so many people. He still needed to come up with the list for the Minister...

"Miss O'Connor, would you be so kind as to ask the woman behind you what is that she needs?"

"I agree. It seems strange this Mr. Theo doesn't want to cooperate in the investigation. If someone had sent me a biting tea pot, I certainly would want to know who sent it and why. It might be a good idea to look a little more closely at Mr. Theo's background. He may be hiding something." Edward looks at the door and sees another woman waiting to come in. He gets up and moves over to a corner to allow the women enough chairs to sit in.
