Preparatory Tasks for International Wizarding Conference-Muggle-Worthy Excuse Committee Task 1: Gather all information concerning previous missions or assignments for each division (excluding mock missions)
The following mission was assigned to us by our former Head, Madeline Grau. An excuse was drafted and handed in. Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond control, I was unable to take my team into the field. If this case remains unresolved, it is best that Miss Perkins is Obliviated. Quote:

Please come up with a good excuse explaining:
1. What she really saw
2. Where her horses went Quote:

After confirmation that the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures is working on retrieving the missing horses, the Muggle-Worthy Excuse Committee will visit Miss Perkinson under the guise of Muggle law-keepers. We have not yet confirmed whether or not she has contacted the actual Muggle law-keepers, so we will act as if we are responding to reports in the area if she has not. If she has, then we will be those responding to her summons. We shall prepare to visit her and will be ready shortly.

Division Head, Muggle-Worthy Excuse Committee Task 2 -Muggle Worthy Excuse Committee and Obliviators: Come up with numerous excuses or possible memory replacements for dragon sightings
Celebratory air shows have been held in a nearby village, with large themed floats and fireworks. The people in the village have been advised to halt future shows, as they constitute dangerous risks. Task 3 -Muggle Worthy Excuse Committee: Come up with excuses to feed to Muggle newspapers as to WHY they can't chop down any more forests.
Deforestation is very hazardous to the biodiversity of the planet. It affects the climate, the air, the soil, and causes irreversible damage to the habitats of the animals that live in forests. This has been a matter of environmental emergency for decades, with forests all over the world rapidly falling to development. The forest in question was not yet legally protected against development, and legislation is being drafted to make this so. In the meantime all development in the area must cease immediately, to preserve the quality of life for all.

Brianna Claire Fraser Accidents & Catastrophes | Centaur Protection
Our division was assigned to provide protection for centaurs whose land is being destroyed by muggle invasion, along with deforestation.
Our Plan: Quote:
We have found an old charm that was not yet approved that seems along the lines of the protection that the centaurs need. The person who created this charm has sadly passed away, so we had to find another member of the family to help. We did this so that there was no chance of a mispronunciation, which in Charms can lead to catastrophic events. Piper was able to obtain the information and brought it back here. We have decided to add in a few other factors as well, ensuring the centaur's safety from muggles.
However, we did run into a snag when it was brought to my attention that maybe the Centaurs need protection from others besides muggles. There are any number of wizards who feel them inferior and would like to do them harm.
In reaction to that, we are further altering this charm to include another layer of protection. It will be able to repel muggles, encase a given area of forest, and it will also repel any witches or wizards who are not there for the safety of the centaurs.
I have my best employee on this, Piper Underwood, along with our newest addition, James Skyle. They, along with myself, should be more than able to have this situation remedied within a few days.

Jacklyn (Jacqui) Gold Accidents & Catastrophes | Finally done ^_^ Task 2:
-Invisiblity Task Force and Accidental Magic Reversal Squad: Come up with solutions to keep the dragons as far away from muggles as possible
We have all decided that keeping the dragons in a remote location, under a simple Muggle Repelling Charm, or a Fedilus Charm would work ooc-hehe Dan also mentioned a Dragon Zoo, I promised him I would mention it Task 3:
-Accidental Magic Reversal Squad: Think of a plan of action to give to the Minister of Bulgaria saying what he should do if a muggle accidently harms a centaur
Sending the Centuer to St. Mungo's immediatly, and maybe giving the Centuer an appeasment, like bows & arrows for hunting, or something of that sort

Thomas, after spending a long night showed up and placed this in the inbox at around 4 in the morning. He yawned quietly and stalked away, to have a good days sleep. Quote: Task 2:
As for the second task, we are in agreeance with the accidental magic reversal squad. If you would like, I could spend a weeks time abroad fixing this problem with a few members of my team with this if you would like, fixing this and the other task. Task 3:
We have come to the conclusion that the best course of action would be to come to an agreement with the centaurs, where they could have a large portion of the forest to themselves. Due to the vastness of the forest, it would be unfeasable to enchant the entire forest. If we can compromise with them, then we will be in buseness. If you can allow me to spend a week abroad with my team, I should be able to acomplish these tasks easily.
Yours, Thomas
On the side there was a sticky attached. Quote:
Due to this report forcing me to go late in the night to finish, I have decided that it would be essential for me to take a days rest and come in the next day.

Abigail Kendra Weather Accidents & Catastrophes | No biting! School-time Procrastinator Invisibility Task Force Summary for Two-Headed Witch/Strong Disillusionment Charm Mission Quote: Summary
C.C. Woods visited the Accidental Magic Reversal Squad office, having two heads and an invisible lower body. C.C. , who told us, took few hairs from Serena Johnson since she was trying to make a some Polyjuice potion. She brewed the potion for a few months (like needed) and then drank the potion. Before she knew it, she had two heads. She also used the Disillusionment charm on the way to the Ministry, but it only made her lower part of her body invisible.
The Disillusionment charm was taken care of first. Melanie Hale asked C.C. Woods if she felt the effects of the charm casted right, which is if feels like cold water has been poured on your head. C.C.’s answer was ‘yes’. Melanie Hale took action then. She used the counter-spell for the Disillusionment charm and it worked.
With the Disillusionment charm taken care of, we started brainstorming of ways to reverse the effects of the Polyjuice potion. Ideas were given out on what we should do, but first we decided that we should figure out what was missing in the potion that would have made it not work properly. Yet, we needed to potion to see what was missing in it. Dora had volunteered to visit C.C.’s home to get the extra potion, since the woman had said she had an extra vial of potion there.
It was Melanie Hale’s idea to decompose the potion; instead we used Specialis Revelio incantation to see what ingredients were used in making this potion. I, Abigail Weather, was the one that did the incantation and I noticed that fluxweed was the ingredients missing in the potion. Even though C.C. mentioned before that fluxweed was used, it wasn’t. It’s clear that the woman must have got the fluxweed ready for the potion, but accidently forgot to put the fluxweed in.
After figuring out what caused the potion to not work properly, we all started to brainstorm ideas on how to fix this problem. Dora gathered books up and started trying to find a way to reverse the effects. Silas, a new employee for the Accidental Magical Reversal Squad, first came up with the idea of fixing a new batch of Polyjuice potion to reverse the effects. Lima told him that this wouldn’t work, because 1) it takes too long for the potion to brew (months, to be exact) 2) Polyjuice potion only lasts an hour, so the effects of the new Polyjuice potion would wear off. Silas then came up with the idea of using Mandrake Draught the reverse the effects. Thinking this would work, that’s what we did.
I gathered up some water and a Mandrake, so that we were able to make this Mandrake Draught. Once the ingredients were gathered, everyone placed earmuffs on their head and we began. The Mandrake was pulled out of the pot and Lima cut the Mandrake in placed it in the cauldron that was in the room at the time. Water was poured into the cauldron and the Bluebell Fire to heat the cauldron up. We waited for a hour and then poured the Mandrake Draught into a cup and gave it to C.C. Woods. C.C. drank the potion and was cured!

Lima Whiggmeister Accidents & Catastrophes | Queen of Cookieland Fairer than Fairies Accidental Magic Reversal Squads' Summary for Two Headed Witch/Disillusionment Charm Mission Quote: Summary
C.C. Woods visited my Division and spoke directly to me about needing help, sounding very frantic and afraid. Upon my asking her what was wrong, she took off the hood she was wearing and showed me that she had another head on her neck.
Upon further questioning from me and other employees who came to her aide, we learned that C.C. for reasons unknown attempted to impersonate the other woman (who we learned is named Serena) with a polyjuice potion. We learned that C.C. brewed said potion for the correct amount of time and added every ingredient needed in the exact amount required.
We then discovered that C.C. also was Invisible from the waist down due to a Disillusionment spell gone wrong. That was addressed first by Melanie Hale, who then asked Dora to get a sample of the potion from C.C's house (as we were informed that she had extras left at her home).
Upon Dora's return, it was Melanie's idea to decompose the potion. However, Abigail Weather used the Specialis Revelio incantation instead so that we could see the ingredients of the potion. I, Lima Whiggmeister took note of all the ingredients as Abigail called them out and saw that there was fluxweed missing. C.C. had forgot to add that to the potion even though she was so sure that she had.
We started working on brainstorming how to cure C.C. since we now knew what was wrong with her. Silias, one of my new employees first suggested brewing another polyjuice potion with C.C.'s hair and using that. But I told him that that wouldn't work for a few reasons: firstly, it would take a month to brew, and secondly, any effects it created would only last for an hour. He then suggested using mandrakes, which at first I wasn't sure of but was reminded that it could be effective in a case like this.
I was asked to make a mandrake draught as I'm good at Herbology. I requested that Abigail gather the ingredients (a mandrake and some water) as well as earmuffs. Upon her return, it was suggested by Dora that we might want to use the Muffliato spell as an extra precaution. I preformed said spell then everyone put on their earmuffs.
When I was ready to make the draught I had Abigail pull out the mandrake and chopped it up using the Diffindo charm. Once that was done, I emptied the mandrake into the cauldron and poured the water over it. I created a bluebell fire and let it brew over that for an hour.
Abigail had the honours of giving the draught once it was finished and the effects wore off perfectly. C.C. and Serena are both back to their natural states.

Abigail Kendra Weather Accidents & Catastrophes | QWC Planning. No biting! School-time Procrastinator Quidditch World Cup Planning for the Invisibility Task Force Quote:
As decided by the Division, we will be using the Disillusionment Charm to make the stadium invisible to muggle eyes. At first, we did try to brainstorm ideas about if we should use a spray or not, but this idea was dropped when I – Abigail Weather – suggested the idea of the Disillusionment Charm and Dora Lovegood agreed with the idea. Also, we might need a few people to help Dora and I with the spell, so we thought that maybe Silas Druery from the Accidental Magical Reversal Squad , Calla Ainsworth from the Experimental Charms Committee, and Melanie Hale from the Experimental Charms Committee could help cast the charm with us after the stadium is up.
As for the disguise of the stadium, Dora Lovegood also came up with the idea of turning the stadium into a dark and scary forest with creepy noises.

Melanie Hale Accidents & Catastrophes | Here it is! Snuffles Sweetness Charm to increase safety of the Quidditch Players After a deep research within our approved files of spells, with the help from the Department new employee, we tested a charm called mollis humus (=/ ferreus humus) , which function is to turn the field's ground into a soft pressure absorbing surface but making it look exactly the same. I, Melanie Hale, made a small try-out of the charm and it worked perfectly.
All credits go to Miss Calla Ainsworth mother, who invented it to prevent her son from falling from a tree and injure himself.
Patiently waiting for approval,
Melanie Hale ooc: dumb meh, delivered it on the wrong place, but it's all fixed now! |
