Broom Regulatory Control, a division within the Regulation Section of the Department of Magical Transportation, is in charge of managing the quality and quantity of flying broomsticks. Employees of this Division should meet, discuss, and fix where needed with your Division Head, Zoerawrr.

Opening the door to her new office, Amanda Vanalda shook her head in disbelief. She could not believe she was working in an office! For the last five years she had been working entirely outside, all the time. Nodding in approvement, she examined the roomy office. She ran her hand smoothly over the mahogany desk, still in awe that she had an office. She dropped her bag onto the desk chair, and looked out the window, elsewhere.

Finally, after deciding she liked the office, she moved her bag, and sat down in the chair, seeing how it felt. It felt very formal and business-like, she smiled. But, it was missing something... She picked up her bag and withdrew a picture of herself, another young woman, and two men, smiling and waving, as they worked about busily with a huge dragon. There, she smiled, a bit of home sweet home. She absolutely couldn't wait to start actually working! Oh, how she loved work. I'm such a geek, she told herself, as she pulled her wand out, flicked it once, in order to fix an uneven picture on the wall.

Luriken stepped off the lift and walked towards his new office, he had been moved from The Magical Games department into this one. Luriken nodded at his new boss and walked to his table. Sitting he looked around his new office and sighed, It can't be that hard? But what do I do? he thought biting his lip and removing his robes.

Having just been sitting at her desk, flipping through old pictures, waiting for an assignment, Amanda looked up to see one of the employees enter the office. She stood up and floated on over to the nervous looking young man.
"Hello!" she said very pleasently in her Austrailian accent. She was already so pleased to be here, having just started, "I'm Amanda Vanalda. I'm the Division Head of Broom Regulatory Control." She stood with her hands folded, smiling.
Wow, twenty-seven years old feels too young for this! But, boy, am I glad to be here! she thought, not used to being in any kind of commanding position.

Luriken looked up "Hello, I'm Luriken Abengarde." he replied in an Irish accent. He had went home and picked up the accent he once lost. "So what do we do around here?" he asked standing and stuffing his hands in his pockets. Luriken never really liked smiling much and he hadn't seen much of Estelle lately.

"Pleasure to meet you Luriken." she said, tilting her head, examining, judging. "Well, pretty much, we do whatever we're told. Which involves making sure all brooms meet standards and regulations, and that they meet safety precautions. It's not as boring as it sounds. As of right now, we don't have an assignment to be working on. But that's likely to change, probably within the hour." She leaned herself on the wall next to his desk and smiled, "Is there anything you need to ask me? Any questions about the position or anything?"

"No not really." he shrugged and looked around the place. Luriken sat once more and pulled himself closer to the desk. "Um, well in an hour I guess we'll be busy." he smiled slightly and leaned back in his chair.

Anita entered the office. She was very happy to be working in this department. She had played Quidditch when she was at Hogwarts. She looked around the office and saw two other people.

"Hello there. I'm Anita by the way. It's so nice to meet you all," she said with a smile and a wave.

Seeing another employee enter, Amanda shuffled on over, still introducing herself to them. "Hello," she said, holding out a hand to shake with the young girl, "I'm Amanda Vanalda, Division Head of this lovely Broom Regulatory Control Division. It's nice to meet you, Anita."

"well, it looks like we've got opur first assignment!" she said, with a smile. She quickly pulled out a piece of parchment and a quill, and scribbled two notes, one to level three, and one to level seven.

A slightly ink-smeared, torn sheet zooms into the room. After a few fly-bys and near-misses over people's heads it nose-dives into a desk.

Luriken looked at her "What are we suposed to do?" he asked standing. and looking at the note. Finally some action, he wanted this since his first day in the ministry an outside assignment. He leaned against the desk and nodded to his other co-worker "I'm Luriken." He simply said.

"muggle children..." Amanda mumbled, shaking her head. She brought her attention to Luriken, "Well, some muggle children stole some flying brooms.... We need to track down the brooms, go get them, and make sure the children can't remember anything about the magic... So we're teaming up with level three's oblivators and level seven to finish the job. Are you guys prepared to work?"

Anita heard Amanda discuss the problem of Muggle children stealing brooms. Anita put her bag down and stood up straight.

"I am prepared to work." Anita said as she tied her long brown hair into a ponytail.

Ellen was so glad to finally be working here, she had been waiting for this day for what seemed like forever. She walked exitedly toward the office, but just as she began to slip through the door she tripped and hit the floor, hard. She stood up and brushed herself off, feeling more embarassed then when she had fallen off the stool while being sorted at Hogwarts.

Anita saw a woman with brown hair enter the office and then fall on the floor hard. Anita got up from her chair and rushed over to her.

"Are you okay?" she asked her eyes full of concern.

Anita knew that some people could be a bit "angry" over being fussed over so Anita bit her lip in hesitation and waited for the woman's answer.

"Alright, glad you guys are ready to work!" Amanda said, her hair bobbing. She turned in time to see the poor woman fall.
"Oh, dear..." she said, standing up to help the woman up. As she walked over, she pulled out her wand and flicked it once, sending a bag of ice wrapped in a towel towards her. She maternily swaddled it up, and handed it to the girl, "Here, hun." she said, "Are you alright? I know those floors can be dangerously slippy..."

Standing up, and guiding the young lady to a chair opposite her own desk, Amanda sat down at her desk, put on her glasses, and looked up over the top, "Oh, yes, I'm Amanda Vanalda, your Division Head." she looked back down to her desk, and pulled out a piece of parchment and quill. "Since you guys are ready to work, let me just send a note to Lorraine, requesting our use of the Conference Room. Then we can get in touch with Levels 3 and 7, and get down to business." In her hurried scrawl, she wrote:

A pink broomstick-shaped notepaper zoomed toward the Broom Regulatory Division and landed neatly on Amanda's desk. The note was written in a hurried fashion and read:

Amanda quickly read Lorraine's hurried message, and nodded to herself.
"Lorraine's opened the Conference Room." she announced to the chatting employees, "You lot can head in there. I'll be there in a minute, let me just get in touch with the other Departments."

She pulled out a piece of parchment, wrote, and flicked her wand, duplicating it, and sent one to Level Three, and one to Level Seven.

Anita smiled at Ellen's words.

"It is always good to work with someone in the same boat as you," Anita said.

The conference room was now open so Anita headed out the office to the room.
