Brian came in to post the lates Ministry announcement in the breakroom. Soon he needed to meet the Head of the department.

An interdepartmental memo flew under the door and stuck itself to the wall. It reads:

In preparation for the upcoming International Wizarding Conference, please begin researching any problems that may have occurred during previous Quidditch World Cups and also Gobstones Tournaments and come up with ways to solve the problems for the next World Cup and International Tournament. Also, look for successes that we should continue in both.

Rumors have been circulating that India is patenting Muggle objects that already exist and weren't created by them. I think it is time to develop some reprimands and punishments that our Ministry is willing to put forth in order to stop such activity. Level Seven employees should do research to find the types of items they've been fraudulently claiming as their own and come up with ways to bring it to an end. I want this discussed during the Conference so that if nothing else, perhaps the embarrassment they feel in front of their fellow Ministers will bring this horrible practice to an end.

As for other things to be decided during the conference, there must be discussion of who will host both the next Quidditch World Cup and Gobstones World Championships and how set up should commence for both. These discussions tend to get a bit heated, so let's come up with a way to keep things running smoothly and calmly, if possible.

And last bit, the United States would like us to consider expanding Quodpot internationally and perhaps hosting a team. I'd like the department to look into the logistics of doing such, including cost and whether or not they feel the sport would be successful enough. We need to present our answer to the US during the Conference, so be sure to have a decision made by this time. I want a report on this when the department makes its decision but before the conference has begun.
