She decided to wait until she was either invited or needed though.

Madeline walked to the door of the office and knocked. She wasn't sure how things worked here on the first floor, and she didn't want to interrupt anything. "Excuse me, is Leila here?" she asked.

Leila, studying the work in front of her, barely noticed when her name was called. She raised her hand and called "over here" as she finished the sentence she was reading. She looked up just as someone approached her desk.

"Hi Leila," Madeline said, "Your note said to contact you about what's happening in my Department?" she asked, almost like a statement, as she showed her the note she had received. "I just wanted to check in and let you know everything is running smoothly...we're doing mock missions at the moment, so they can practice planning out missions and such before actually going out into the field." she explained.

"How about once a week? Or, I could just pop in here whenever we do something big, like get a new mission or assignment, something like that?" Madeline suggested.

"I think that's a great idea. But if you find yourself getting too busy, you can always just shoot me a memo. Meeting once a week is good though. I don't know what we'll be up to, or assigned to do in the near future, but right now, sitting behind a desk staring at paperwork is not that great. Human interaction would be a very welcome change," Leila laughed.

Alison returned to the desks, having met Mr. Wordsmith and seeing the assignment box. She groaned and slumped on the desk. Then she remembered something to do. She went up to Miss Bella to apologize. "Miss Bella," Alison said, "I'm sorry for having almost ignored you. I was a bit... Pre-occupied with something. So I was wondering, do you know anything about Mr. Syd Wordsmith?" She asked quickly... Then something happened. A grey cloud burst out of nowhere, hovered over Alison and started to rain right on her. She could have shrieked, but calmly (although she was seething), "Bloody weather, huh?"

Madeline laughed with her. "Alright then, let's make that our plan," she said. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to go make sure my divisions are all worknig on their practice missions, and not killing each other instead," she said with a chuckle. She was thinking of her Obliviators, of course. "See you soon!" she said as she walked out of the office.

"See you," Leila called as Madeline left the office. She turned back to her work, but then remembered that the assignment box had been filled earlier. Walking over to pick up her instructions, she realized she needed to go up to the Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes to speak to two of the committees. Double checking the assignment, she made her way to the third floor.

What was she so pre-occupied with that she didn't hear the instructions which Bella gave her ... concering her new job? And that too in the Minister's office, on her first day?

Bella watched Alison as she made a cloud disappear. How this cloud had managed to come in was a mystery to her.

Doesn't enjoy her company too much? Bella blinked. That was her question? "Oh. Well, he'll have to deal with it, you are the liaison for his department and you guys will be working together as long as you are a liaison and he is the head of the department."

Did Bella just imagine it, or did Alison say ... Intimidating? "So what do you want me to do?"

... Bella didn't know much about Mr. Wordsmith.

Then Bella remembered something. "Did you pick up your assignment from the Assignment pick up box?" She asked her. She had to pick her's up too.

Once he got the date fpr Minister's marriage he walked back to the seat. While he move towards his seat, he saw Bella and Alison were talking busily.
"Hey ladies, what are u talking about? Anything interesting that I should know?" he asked and stood infront of them.

Cambell hoped that what she was asking wasn't stupid.
She decided that after she got her assignment, she would go meet the head of her Department.

Bella looked up from her slip of paper when she heard someone's voice. "Oh, hello." She smiled back while she grabbed her slip of paper and a notepad. She was going to speak to Reagan about this. "Yes, the assignment pick up box is just outside Reagan's office. You'll spot it when you walk out of this room. It's the first thing you see." She said as she reached for the pen holder.

And she found that there was no pen, or pencil.

She stared at the thing for a few moments, very much irritated. WHAT had happened to those? Where were thay? Frowning, she pulled open the second drawer on her right and grabbed three pens, quickly sliding two in the pen holder and then she turned to face Laylee.

"Anything else you wanted to know?" She asked, smiling.

Cambell walked out with her assingment, reading it carefully. She didnt really have much to do. It seemed quite simple.
