AJ let out a laugh, a very strained one, but one enough. "Yes, Teal, that's exactly what I said when we first heard of this yesterday, was that the Quibbler can't POSSIBLY be telling the truth. That is the point of the excursion to The Quibbler's headquarters, is to get their source and information so as to research this before someone else gets hurt." She shuffled through some more of her notes and nodded, "Ahh, here we go. Attacks have taken place in Scotland, England, and Switzerland. No actual reports have been filed with any of the animal committees in any of the countries, but that's because they feel stupid saying an invisible creature attacked them."

She stood there, looking around, "I agree, with you on the Beast designation. Not because of intelligence bit, but because it is dangerous and doesn't follow the laws of the wizarding community. Beings try to fit in, this beast is no where NEAR fitting in." She said, and wrote down all this information on the board behind her with a swish of her wand. "I wanted the Spirit division's input here because it is invisible and they have the most experience with tracking and capturing invisible things that REALLY don't want to be found." she said, since several people seemed to be taking rather rude shots with saying this couldn't possibly be a spirit.
"We don't yet know how the Lethifold got here, but we can assume, at this time, that it was an illegal breeding experiment. It might have been a Demiguise that travelled out of its usual area and got pregant with a Lethifold, but it's highly doubtful considering their lifestyles. We are most likely, and we will treat it as such unless we get information disproving this, dealing with an illegal breeding team." This information appeared shortly after with another flick of her wand.

"In those 3 countries, there have been reports filed with hospitals of identical attacks, or at least identical injuries sustained, with various excuses such as: 'fell down the stairs,' 'tried to feet a crocodile,' and, my personal favorite, 'i just woke up like this.'' She looked to her workers. "Some were attacked in their sleep like Lethifolds usually take their victims, but none were fully devoured. Full injury reports haven't been released to us yet."

"Anyways, the purpose of this meeting is to determine WHO is going to The Quibbler headquarters to get as much information as we can on the nature of these attacks and so forth that MIGHT help us get leads on how to contain the creature." she looked at each of her employee's faces, one at a time, making a mental note of what division they were in.

"Since general consensus puts it as being a beast, someone from the Beast Division is going. I'm afraid I won't be going, because I'm just not able to at the moment, busy stuff going on. "Teal. If you don't mind, I'd like for you to go with them. You are most experience with dealing with dangerous critters, and since you have attended, you know what's going on. Find out as much as you can, about the victims, see if they have any connections, try to find out their injuries, names, places, times of day, anything could help us. The most important thing tho is to make sure the hospital reports exist, we don't need The Quibbler making this stuff up." she smiled at him. "Good luck." she said and made more marks on the board. "I believe they are congregating, as we speak, to head over there via portkey." she told him.

AJ waited until Teal had left (ooc: outside the ministry threads, just post as if you had just walked down from the portkey location), and addressed the other employee's sitting before her. "In the mean time, we are just going to assume all the reports and rumors are true, and discuss how we might be able to contain such a beast." she said, with a grim smile on her face, trying to be welcoming and pleasant.

"and ideas?"

Star Black slips in and finds a seat next to her co-worker Liz.
"Did I miss anything important?" she asks quietly to Liz.

So far we know there is a illegal crossbreed creature that they believe might be part Lethifold and Demiguise. From what I understand... They are trying to determine how to capture it, I think...

Teal grinned again as Aricca mentioned that she wasn't completely confident in the The Quibbler's credibility either. Teal took another sip from his coffee cup as Aricca mentioned that the excursion was heading the Quibblers Headquarters. It sounded important enough, as Aricca continued to go on about where the attacks were taking place, he pulled out a small pad of paper from his cloak pocket and pulled out a pen as well, scratching down the country's involved, while quickly triangulating a possible vicinity of where the beast could be. Teal nodded as he wrote down the nature of the attacks, describing how everyone had made alternate excuses for their attack, "Makes sense..", Teal said under his breath, as he wrote that down as well. At least the beast wasn't striking to kill... yet.

Teal looked to Jack and nodded his head slightly as people were finally starting to catch on to the fact that this could be a spirit, even though the beast option was much more likely. Taking another sip of his coffee, Teal jotted down a few more points on his paper before looking back up to Aricca as she explained to everyone how this Lethifold-Demiguise mix was most likely a result from the acts of illegal breeders. Teal gave a short sigh, he had dealt with many of these fellows over the years... and each case was truly a nightmare at best. Illegal breeders, the experienced ones that is... kept going and were always extremely difficult to track, and sadly, the seemed to evade capture more often than not. "Oh yeah, that's got to be the case here... can't wait to land those gits in Azkaban." Teal said, shaking his head as he scribed a few more notes onto his paper. Listening to the Hospital reports, Teal couldn't help but smile as some of them were extremely obvious to the fact that something more had definitely happened. At least there were no death's yet, and hopefully none would arise.

Teal continued to scribble down notes for a few moments as everyone else was, before he decided to voice his opinion on the breeder's. "If The Quibbler is indeed correct on this, we really do have a crisis on our hands." Teal said with a sigh, quickly taking a sip from his coffee. "If the breeder's keep producing this creature into the world, then this creature's are subject to breeding with each other. If this is to happen, we could end up having a whole new species on our hands, and this would obviously have a disastrous effect on the ecosystem. Not to mention that a dangerous, invisible creature on the loose would cause nation wide panic." Teal finished, writing a few more notes on his paper. He took another large gulp from his coffee and sighed, "So while we are trying to find this creature, possibly creatures, we are going to need the auror's trying to find the wizards responsible for the production of these beasts." Teal finished that with a shrug, he thought it sounded right to him. He wrote a few more things down on his paper before looking back up to Aricca.

Teal sat back in his chair as Aricca began to explain that they were going to send someone down to the Quibbler headquarters to find out more information on this investigation, really checking the credibility of the Quibbler. Teal gave Aricca a weak smile as she said that she wanted him to go for them, to find out everything they needed to know. He scratched the back of his neck and gave her a warm nod, before writing down all of the information down on a second pieced of paper. Once he had finished writing down everything, circling and underlining the important stuff, he folded up the papers and but them back in his cloak's pocket. "Alright then, I geuss I'm off then." he said with a wink to Aricca, he wanted to get this done the right way, and Aricca and the rest of his employee's had no reason to worry, he'd get it done well. As she bid him good luck, Teal grinning and nodded to her, "Thanks, looks like I'll be back with a full report soon." he said, walking over to the door. "G'day everyone." he said, taking a sweeping look of the conference room before departing for his mission.

Violet listened to everyone else's thoughts. "Oh," she groaned. "I've never heard of anything like this before." She thought a moment. "Maybe we could sort of lure it into a trap. It may be invisible but you can still see if it moves something right? Why don't we set up a realistic dummy and when we see it being ripped up by an invisible creature, trap the cross-breed? I mean I don't know if it would work..." she said, realizing how stupid her idea sounded. "We would need to find out where it is now first, and that would be hard." Then she looked at Joseph Willowgreen, who had just spoken. "Yes! The root word appareo! You're right, that might help! We would need to figure out what to add to it to be able to make the creature visible...does anyone know Latin?" she asked the room.

"At least this is more interesting then our office is right now," Star whispers to Liz."

Star pulls out a basket of chocolate Hershey's Kisses.

"Hello, I'm Star Black from Werewolf Registry." Star smiles as she looks around the room. "Would anyone care for a sweet?"

"I know enough Latin to know that. We have three choices, apperere, apperui, or apperitum." He said searching everybody's eyes. "Anyone may work, but, they may not. So, let's see what we can do." Joseph continued to look around. He wanted to know who had input, but many people seemed to be shy. He looked over at the chocolate lady and smiled, 'this is no time for chocolate' he thought, but he said, "No thank you." instead.

Violet looked over at Joseph. She had no idea who he was, other than his name, but felt grateful towards him for listening to her. "All right...which one of those is the strongest?" she asked him. "It sounds as though we're dealing with an XXX to XXXXX rating, so we'll need a strong spell. And I think we should have more than one person go, just in case." Violet too looked over at the woman who had offered chocolate. She smiled faintly. "Not right now, thank you," she said to her.

"Curious, shouldn't we first locate it before casting spells on it? It could be anywhere in europe, so how is trying to figure what spell would contain it help if we can't track it?" I ask, patiently. "Also, I understand that they are both magical creatures, the Lethifold and DEmiguise, but how could an invisible simian like creature mate with a blanket like creature that would be more willing to devour it?"

"How did a tropical creature meet a far east creature? I think someone was playing Goddess in the Potions Lab"

"I'm actually a very good duelist." Joseph said, "I should be able to cast the spell, but we would probably want one person from every division. I'm not against someone else taking my place though. I'm just saying I can and will do it if I need to." He looked at everyone's faces. "We would definitely want somone from the Spirit Division, at least three from the Beast division, and one or two in the Being Division. No Offense to the Spirit Division, but we are looking for a beast here." He smiled.

"That is my reasoning to making a team. If we build a team of people, we can locate and capture this creature. I don't know how they would mate, but they quite possibly might have. No one will really find out how really." He looked over at the man. "Anything is possible when people meddle."

"It isn't likely that they met by chance. They most likely where, as you said, put together." He looked over at the Woman, the same one who had offered the chocolate. 'Now she's on task.' he thought.

Violet looked over at the man who had spoken. "I'm sorry, but it doesn't really matter how the two creatures met and mated. Not right now, at least. What we're facing is that it is here in Europe, and dangerous." She closed her eyes briefly; she could feel her temper beginning to rise in her frustration. But she mustn't lose her temper at this man. He had posed a very good question. Violet opened her eyes, having regained control of herself. "Oh! No, I didn't mean I thought you weren't able or anything! You are probably very capable of the job. I meant no offense." She wanted to be sure he knew she wasn't meaning to criticize him. "Anyway," she continued, looking around at the room, "He has a good point. Someone from each division should go. So...who wants to go and fight an invisible creature? We need volunteers." She looked towards the head, Ms. Silverstone. "Do you have any ideas?"

Padme slipped into the meeting. She knew that she was very late and she would prefer to not be noticed being late. She saw a seat by the door and she quickly slipped into it. She realized everyone was arguing and decided to wait and see what the argument was about before she brought in her own comment.

"I don't really care what the motive is for anyone creating such a beast, honestly. I care that it's out there hurting people for no reason, and that it's my job, our jobs, to make sure that it is taken care of and disposed of." AJ listened as Emily put in her input, "No, the actual number of these cross-breeds is still unknown at the moment, but since neither of these animals really move that fast, we can assume there is at least 3. Yes, that's what I'm afraid of and is why we need to move quickly with this thing." Once more, AJ nodded, "yes, studying the creature would be best, but alive or dead we are capable of that, if we can see it." she smiled, liking how well some of her employees were thinking things through.
"That is one idea, but trying to create your own spell to contain an animal isn't exactly encouraged in our department, our expertise is creatures, not spells, remember. Perhaps someone from the Minister's office or the Department of Mysteries is more qualified to do that, just in case we get something wrong and end up doing something horrible..." she said. they had to be cautiou
