Violet looked up, sensing the sphinx's eyes on her. When it yawned, she jumped at the sight of its teeth and quickly looked away again. She would rather not be sphinx food.
Luckily for her, it soon bacame interested in a man Violet did not know. She let out a breath silently. Someone should really do something about this, she thought. Violet hoped sphinxes couldn't read minds.

After a moment's consideration, the Sphinx decided to follow Enrico. Maybe he would lead to food. Its stomach rumbled again as it began walking behind Enrico slowly, as though stalking him out the door.

violet watched, still in a daze, as the sphinx followed Enrico. Oh dear. Was he going to get a surprise or what?
Violet got herself a mug of coffee and sat down to mull over what had just happened.

Teal remained in his break room, blankly staring over the papers that lay before him. Bloody paperwork never ends, he thought to himself as he pushed the papers aside. All of the papers were coming from his last case, the Erkling which did not go well at all. The verdict was still pending, but it looked like the creature was going to be executed.

Teal shrugged it off, he didn't really care. The small vicious creature had caused alot of horror by killing at least six children. The minutes pressed on and his mind began to wonder, soon he found himself thinking of Lorraine Brothmeister... as random as that was. He'd seen her at the wedding and really enjoyed her company then. With a wry smile playing on his lips, he pulled out a clean piece of parchment and began to write a memo to Lorraine on it. Once he finished it, he smirked slightly and tapped the paper with his wand and watched as the paper folded itself into a paper airplane. With another quick swish of his wand, the paper flew away from him and out the door, inevitibly towards Lorraine. Teal smiled as took a swig from his mug of coffee, and sat back waiting in anticipation. Hopefully Lorraine was free to pay him a visit...

As Teal continued to plow through paperwork... signing wavers, lines, checking boxes, and whatnot. He was extremely relieved to see the door open. Teal smiled widely as the ever businesslike Lorraine walked into the room. "Wotcher." Teal said with a slightly wry smile as he finished his signature on a certain piece of paperwork. He scooped up his papers and set them aside, setting his quill on top of them.

Teal frowned slightly and furrowed his brow as Lorraine began to explaine to him how she was missing an important meeting in her Department. He leaned forward and scratched his chin slightly. He knew if it was really that important, Lorraine wouldn't have left until it was over... that was fact. But he did feel slightly regretful for making her miss something important, rather than just coming to keep him company. Teal let out a guilty laugh as he looked up to Lorraine, "Oh, no urgent matter Lorraine. Just wanted to catch up maybe?" he said with a smile, picking up his quill and looking at it. "But if we must make it business like, you can always help me file my paperwork." He said with a wink, knowing that no one in their right mind would want to do that; horribly boring." Snapping back to her missing her meeting, Teal frowned once more and looked to the door, "But really I'm sorry for interrupting. If you need to finished your meeting we can meet later." He said, now spinning the quill around his fingertips with impressive agility, a addictive habit that he had adopted in his Hogwarts days.. He was getting antsy, being stuck in this room for hours on end, with the occational person walking in ever half hour or so.

Kelly followed Violet's actions. Took a red mug and filled it with coffee. Then she followed Violet and sat on a chair opposite to her.

Violet looked up and smiled at Kelly. "Hello," she said. "So, I know that you're new here at the Ministry. How do you like it so far?" she asked, trying to start a conversation in which she wouldn't feel too awkward.

"Umm. I quite enjoy it here. I have something to do and something to think about." Kelly smiled back at her. "And what about you? Have been around here long?"

"Well, I'm glad you enjoy it," said Violet. "Yeah, I've been working here ever since I graduated from Hogwarts. That's six years. I'm pretty happy with my position," she said. "So, what do enjoy doing, aside from work?" she asked.

"Well, I don't have much to do besides work. But I do like sleeping" she smiled. "And ofcourse I quite enjoy working with magical creatures and beings. Even during my non-working hours. I'm kind of a boring person actually."

Violet smiled. "Sleeping is good. Sleeping is always good," she said. "Yes of course, I love working with magical creatures too." She laughed a little. "I'm sure you're not a boring person. I'm sure there's something else that you're good at." she said, smiling.

Teal smiled, but hid his amusement, as Lorraine pressed her lips together to put for an image or annoyance and disturbance. He knew Lorraine was very businesslike, and he respected that. Actually, the good think about Teal and Lorraine was that usually when it came down to it and they needed to, they would work fastly, efficiently, and properly. Teal was not the type of guy that took any part of his job lightly. As Lorraine answered Teal's question about the meeting being businesslike; Teal shrugged guiltly slightly. "Of course, of course." Teal said with a small laugh, shuffling his papers back in front of him, fully expecting Lorraine to turn around and leave, sending him back off into paper work. `

Teal smiled as Lorraine said that she had no choice but to stay, while throwing him that dazzling wry smile of hers. He grinned himself, and pulled out a chair for her. "No, please do!" He said with a laugh, putting his papers out of their way behind him. Department Head positions were now opening, and Teal had been meaning to ask Lorraine about that. He felt like he could do the job well, but he didn't know if he wanted to put forth double the effort. His life was going to be changing alot in the next year... with his son that he hadn't seen since he was one was moving in with him ; that was going to be awkward and bizzare. He might need a little more support that a Department Head position might offer. Teal frowned slightly, deep in thought before looking back up to Lorraine. "So Lorraine, how do you like being Department Head? I think Aricca might be resigning soon, and I thought I'd maybe apply for the position..." he asked, slightly tentatively. He was notorious for not wanting to have huge responsibilities, and wouldn't be surprised if Lorraine laughed in his face.

"Umm.. I'm a good writer and I communicate quite well, when there is a need to. I'm also an animagus and well, actually that is it. I'm sure you don't want to know my boring life-story" Kelly's eyes showed a little fear but it could have just been easily imagined.

Teal nodded as Lorraine sat down at the table, he was in desperate need of something to talk to about personal matters. Lorraine was really the perfect person to talk to about such things, only it would probably be more preferrable to her to do it after work hours. Oh well, he already had her here so they'd have to make due. After Teal asked her the Department Head question, he gave a small smile and a nod as her face flickered with surprise, then comfort.

As Lorraine told him about the luxeries of being a Department Head, Teal nodded as she went. It really did sound nice, and he would grow into the extra responsibilities in time. He then thought of how much his life was going to be changing and he pressed his libs together and stared at his hands which were set up on the table locked together. She then asked the question, Are you up for it. Teal contemplated this question for a moment, and then decided that he was. It was just then, that Teal felt this horrible urge to spill all the beans. Teal looked back up into her eyes and felt comforted again, he could tell Lorraine anything right? "Yeah, I think I finally am." he said with a nod. "I really need to get my life going again. The past decade here at the Ministry I have just been rotting away behind my desk, it's time for me to start getting back into it." he stated, finally decided that it would be okay to tell Lorraine the next part. Yes, Teal had been married in his very early twenties, but it only lasted about ten months. They didn't work well with each other, and by the time they had split up... they had hated each other; and still do. They also happened to have a child, and the last time Teal had seen that child was when it was two monthes old. Now, the kid was going to be coming to live with him soon and Teal decided that he needed to get all this information off his chest. "And well, my kid is going to be coming to live with me in the next eight months." he said with a frown. He didn't know if Lorraine knew about his boy Cy, but she probably knew that he ended up marrying Meredith, she was in the same year as them at Hogwarts. "Once me and Meredith split up, she couldn't find a job and started getting into some pretty sketchy deals. Turns out the Ministry has finally caught her smuggling Runespoor egg's to Dark Wizards, so she is being trialed within the next month. And the outcome is almost certaintly Azkaban." he said with with a blank shrug, he didn't really care about Meredith, she turned out to be a foul lady. He just felt bad for the poor boy. "So for the kid's sake, I really need to get my life back in order." he concluded, feeling very awkward indeed that he had just told Lorraine all this, hopefully she didn't mind.

"Yeah, ofcourse you didn't ask for one" Kelly smiled nervously "I've just been having a lot on my mind lately. Anyways , I've been studying them for about 10 years or so. I was very little, when I had my first contact with a centaur. Luckily he was young too and hadn't yet developed the disrelish towards wizards. Oh , and when I was about 10, I found it fun to raise a pet dragon. My guardian was shocked at first, but calmed down later. Now that dragon lives in Rumenia. Gave her away just last month."
