Default Fitness Room

Because many of the employees of Level Seven are former athletes or were once professional Quidditch players themselves, it should come as no surprise that fitness is a primary concern or that they like to find ways to remain in shape. A fitness and weight room was instated near the entrance of the lifts to address the needs of the Games and Sports employees, but is open for use by anyone in the Ministry.

Featuring state of the art exercise machines powered by magic, the fitness room is equipped with treadmills, stationary and recumbent bikes, and elliptical cross-trainers. Free weights of graduated sizes are located along one of the mirrored walls.

OOC- This thread is open for all Ministry employees, both G&S and other employees. Feel free to start a roleplay here with your friends.

" She chuckled as she joked about her failed marriages.

"Why would you wonder that?" She looked at him curiously for a moment and then just figured it was the same reason she felt it about herself. Starting off slow on the treadmill she couldn't help but feel like she was going to be exhausted after this even if it wasn't very fast.

Yoga?

Wasn't that funny that he'd ask that, "Well we do have a few different classes once in a while and now that we have a ministry-wide wellness program I have been working to get some unique yoga here." The Niffler yoga was being planned just needed a few more forms signed.
He smiled, he knew the feeling he too was often married to his work. Maybe that was why for the first time in a while he wasn’t having trouble talking to one of his co-workers. “I completely understand that. I am often told that I’m married to my work. Never actually been married but understand that too.” He smiled as he kept walking on the treadmill, not feeling too winded yet.

He glanced over, “I usually bore people with my statistics. But its what I love.” He laughed at the fact that he was extremely nerdy compared to most of the people he knew. They diidn’t know a bunch of stats and just ramble them off.

Oh, a ministry-wide wellness program. He seriously hadn’t remembered hearing about that during his orientation. Was that when he slipped out to use the restroom? He wondered how involved it was and if people actually took advantage of it because it sounded like a great thing. Unique yoga? What in Merlin did that mean? “What exactly do you mean by unique?” He felt a bit…. concerned.

Lifting her hand to turn the treadmill a bit faster, Vic last minute talked herself out of it and continued on the pace she was at. There was no need to overdo it with just being fully cleared. "That will be a blessing and a curse I'm afraid. I spend many hours here plus take things home with me. I try not to, but I have to get things done and I want to. This place has never felt fully like a job to me, which isn't a bad thing either, but family does not see it that way. Relationships can get strained if you don't have a good balance." Which she knew she didn't after years of doing this. When things got tough at home she'd throw herself more into her work.

"That's why you fit in so well here." She laughed because he was so much like the rest of the team. "We all enjoy it, so no need to hide your statistic heart here."

She was feeling a bit tired so slowing to a snail pace Vic decided it was time for her to cool down, not that she was going fast, to begin with, but it was good for the first try. "Niffler Yoga, it is the latest trend I had found, so I'm going to bring it to the ministry. There was a bit more paperwork than I thought there would be, but it should be all scheduled for the first of the year." She was proud of that and couldn't wait to give it a try.
