Default Evidence & Pensieve Rooms

The Evidence and Pensieve rooms are only accessible by a locked door that opens only after an employee has presented their MLE badge. Therefore, only employees of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement have access to these rooms. Should anything come up missing or anything go wrong, understand you'll be the first checked. Do not allow unauthorized personnel beyond this point. Sensitive information is held in these rooms and it would be more than a shame if anything were to turn up broken or otherwise compromised.

The Evidence Room, on the right, is a large room with shelves full of evidence gathered by various members of law enforcement. Be sure to keep the files up to date and be careful with the labelling. Each shelved white box has a folder in the front that lists all information that can be found in the box and any possible information that has been acquired, as well as a list of inventory of the items found inside the box. Everything inside the boxes are charmed for safe keeping, securely stored, and labelled according to the date and divisions involved in the associated investigation. There are two registers on the wall, one for recording your visit and one for recording any evidence you handle OR remove from the room.

The Pensieve Room, on the left, is a slightly smaller room, which is filled with shimmery light. In the center of the room is a table with a large pensieve on top of it. On the shelves around the room, hundreds of vials both empty and full of memories from investigations can be found. Each vial that contains a memory states the date, the case it is being used in, and the person who's memory it is. They also contain any pertinent information such as if the memory was altered in any way.

At no point is it acceptable to have none MLE personnel in either room.

Lex didn't say a word as she led him over to the evidence room. It had a lot more to do with her unsettled feeling of being watched than with any lack of inclination to chew him out but the result was the same, a preoccupied department head that was being driven up the wall by the one feeling she couldn't shake.

Entering the room on the right, she turned to look at him. "Our logs have fallen behind again. Horrendously behind. I'd hoped for volunteers to get things back on track," she was talking YEARS of pile up, "and I'm glad you so graciously decided to free your schedule enough for the job." She moved over to the first set of shelves. "These need re-alphabetizing. When you're done, collect all the expired warrants, make notes, redo them, hand them over to the hit wizards or the aurors depending on case. Make as many stops over to forensics as needed, make sure the logs line up, find out if anything's been omitted."

She gestured with a finger for him to follow then began moving down the aisle. "Some of these cases will expire soon. Find them, bring them to someone's attention. The dust you find while you work, clean it. You're off field duty until this is all done. Tell your friends. They're like to join you if I catch any of them pulling off what you tried." Though perhaps the boy would like company. Who else could she spare? More to the point, who else needed a wake up call? "We clear?"

Following his boss, Ronan could help but notice that she seemed preoccupied. Deciding that whatever was on her mind wasn't really any of his business (and hoping that decision didn't come back to bite him like napping was about to) and that he was in enough trouble already, he kept silent. Nope, not even groaning when he was assigned to basically clean & organize the evidence room. Which.....just how long had it been like this?

Following her down the aisle, he felt thankful that one of his allergies wasn't dust. There was a lot of the stuff around.

Wait, what?! Off field duty?! Until this was done?! But this would take forever! "Yes, boss." Message received. Naps not allowed.
