Yep! It's in the middle of nowhere in zambia, so there's acres of room for them. We have problems catching them, though!

My horse was being a pain to catch in his paddock which really isn't all that big. And his paddock buddy wasn't exactly helping the situation...
Where's Zambia? (continent would be nice)

Darn, I wish my school had horses but we're in the middle of the suburbs, Poo.

I live in a farming town in New Jersey. Seriously, it's like 'hickville'.
Which is why I'm so disappointed that we don't have any horse things at our school. They can't even make it worth it.

Zambia is slap-bang in the middle of Africa. It's is very peaceful, but poor, that's why not many people have heard of it. It's like three times bigger than the U.K. or something, but the population is less than London's! That's why we have 100 acre schools plots. I used to go to a normal school, the country's not backwards or anything, just poor.

That's interesting
It must be nice to have a horse program at your school, though.

Yep! I get to go to the stables whenever I have free time. The school is 3 hours fom anywhere, and we also get visiting wild animals, like buck, crocodiles and hippos. You have your own horse, right?

eh....visiting crocodiles would royally scare me. I think I'd pass on that one. My grandma lived in florida and she used to get crocodiles in her back yard all the time. (It was on the edge of a lagoon)
I do. He's a typical Thoroughbred. Sometimes it's fun, other times....not so much. lol.

We don't visit them, they just come when they want. The hippos are really wild, and if they're around, we have teachers escorting us everywhere.
You're soooo lucky, do you keep him at home or stable him at a yard?

I keep him at a boarding barn. We usually switch barns a lot because my mom has paranoia issues; I'm paying for his board now so it doesn't really matter.
I love my horse- even if he's completely insane sometimes.
What's the horse you usually ride like?

Usually I ride a horse called Dallas, he's really old and grumpy, he has people he hates and people he loves. I'm one of the few people he likes, but he still is extremely lazy with me! I don't ride him for shows any more, though, I ride a horse who's much nicer, and would jump the world if you asked him nicely enough.

My horse would jump the world as long as he didn't think he was being told to do it. haha.

Stubborn? Dallas has to have 3 people pushing, 5 people pulling, and 2 kicking if you tried to be subtle with him. It would take one look at him and decide not to disturb his brain. How high does your horse jump?

Nah, he's not stubborn. He's sort of like me. He'll do something because he wants to do it, but if someone tries to force him to do it he won't do it. In fact, he'll plant his feet and refuse to move.
He jumped a 4'6" paddock fence before.
I've jumped him 4', but I know my limits. Once you hit four, then he completely loses his brain. He'll jump the first line fine, then he'll turn into a freight train and crash through the rest.
I haven't been able to do anything with him lately. He's not himself. He's been super-jittery and spooking at air.
I miss my horse. I have him- but it's like he's not even there.

That must really suck. Did he have a big fright recently? The thing that's scaring him be constantly around him, like his tack, or maybe even his shadow. Is even jittery in his stall?

nah, he didn't. He doesn't spook easily which is what worries me. He's always crazy (gotta love hotbloods) but he was never a spooky horse. And before we thought it was barns so we switched. He's just spooking at things he never would have spooked at before.

What are you going to do? One of the horses at the school stables used to be terrified of his shadow, and we had to get horse psychologists and stuff to help him get over it.

What do you mean? I just thought that may be a solution, because a shadow moves, and when you're on rough ground, it changes shape. Even small children get scared of their shadow sometimes. Ahem, sorry about that, but I want to be an animal psychologist when I'm older.

Anyway, good bye all! I'm starting boarding school on Sunday!

I just notised that post, and that realy stinks. I was reading somthing somewhere else about crazy horse people. Is there a chance another border scared him doing somthing? And no one else is allowed to ride / work him right? I'd ask some other borders if they saw anything.

Well we switched barns, and the people at the other barn were terrified of him. Which amused me, because he's a big mush face. Unless your back is turned. Then he nips you.
But he's not vicious or anything. Though that could be why he got a little rude, because he wasn't being handled a lot. It doesn't explain the spookyness- but that could be his reaction to the weird weather. I live in New Jersey, and it's begin so warm it's bizarre.
