My horse was seriously neglected when I bought him. When we brought up his weight to the owners the day we bought him they said, "We like him nice and thin." As he was like 400 pounds under weight.

My horse's owners were just completely oblivous, and they didn't know what they were doing. Not to mention I can't believe the farm didn't do anything or bring it up. They didn't help the fact by charging extra money for board to give hay. | |

I absolutely love horses! I take care of 4 at my local 4-H and one of the horses there has only one eye as well. I also take care of about 10 other horses at a closer barn. I don;t own one unfortunetly...but there is this black 4 year old gelding that I really want! | |

Although he can outrun my aunts other tennisee walker who is also old but that horse thinks he's better (higher in the pecking line) than mine so mnine never go's infrunt of him | |

| I see my horse every day, and I help out at the barn for reduced board. It is a lot of work. lol, but it's funny, I'm always energetic at the barn and tired everywhere else. | |

I'm more in it for the training experience, but once my horse is finished it's virtually the only way for me to get my name out there. I was doing the hunters at local low rated or schooling shows. | I've heard of it. They probably have different levels, and I'm sure you can look it up. If you're in the US you could probably see if it's registered with USEF and you can see the rules and levels. | |

They may have bridges, creeks, etc. I can't imagine it'd be like a cross country course. I don't think they'd have any real jumps. I think that I'd be more worried that if my horse had shoe's he'd pull it during the ride and I would have to make him walk like that until the end. | |

Me personaly have a half instructor she offored to give me free lessons after we went on a ride down the road together on my cousins birthday all boys it got boaring... well I havent seen her since The wered part is she thinks I'm a natural boarn rider... well I did manage to Run a unruly horse through a pickup game of football down a hill and stoped right beforen he ran into a clothes line with one stirrup when my horse got hurt | |

That doesn't sound like fun! I've seen a lot and heard a lot of things happening. For instance, during one of the classes I help teach, this girl tossed the horse's reigns over his head while she was still on his back! The horse, luckily, only began to graze, but it could have been much worse! | |
