X-tremely boring history:

I was born on April 25th as the first child of my family and lived in a small flat with my parents. When my brother Janne was born we moved to a bigger house in Vantaa cause we didn't all fit in the flat. We lived there till I was about five-six and we moved to another flat in Tapiola. I went to preschool for a while, and then in the autumn I went to first grade (in Finland kindergarten is still in preschool, and kids go to school when they're seven) with my best friend Hanna. We got into the same class. We lived right next to the school, so we could walk there. After school we went to an after-school care park place thingy. Then, after I'd finished second grade, me and my family move to the Chicago, Illinois. At first we lived in a yet another flat for about two months or so. When school started, I went to fourth grade and my brother went on second (US curriculum). After a few months we moved to a big house in Lisle and I made lots of friends at school. At first I took ESL but later I didn't have to anymore cause I spoke English fluently enough. I remember my first day pretty well: I was terrified because my dad just left me at the classroom door, but instead he was going to escort my little brother to his classroom and everything. They led me to my seat and I was given a piece of paper along with everybody else. My folks had only taught us how to say "I come from Finland" and "I don't speak very much English". The teacher wrote something on the board and I copied it down, but of course I didn't know what it meant. Later when I found the paper I realised it said "Rules" and then the numbers 1, 2, 3 under it. But back then I thought we were doing work or something, everybody was speaking a strange language and I started crying. The helper teacher comforted me and we were friends since. During recess a girl called Melanie kept talking to me, it was nice, but I couldn't understand a word she was saying. So when she finally stopped to draw breath, I said "I don't speak very much English" in my horrible Finnish accent. After that, she was a bit more quiet...

Then blah blah blah a year and a ½ went by, and we moved back to Finland. I went to an international school and spent the next two years there before moving to lower secondary school, which was right next to my old Finnish elementary school. I've been there for almost a year now and the term is drawing into a close on June 1st - I can't wait! Summer hols, here I come!
