Hogwarts RPG Name: Jillian McGuffin Second Year | ^ooh! question about that. by singular and plural, that means to how many people you're talking to right? like if there's more people, you greet them by saying 'Salvete'? |

If you're saying hello to one person, you say 'Salve', but if you're greeting multiple people, you'd say 'Salvete'. |

Angelina Gilmore Minister's Office | Question
How do you say "Love" and "Friendship" ? Josey: "Love" the noun is "amor, amoris" (it's 3rd declension, which means it has different endings than first declension). "Love" the verb, as in "I love you", would be "amo, amare, amavi, amatum."
"Friendship" is "amicitia, amicitiae", and it's a feminine first declension noun. Rach: Ohhh niice
I think I got it.
Thank You HOTC. <3

Hogwarts RPG Name: Jean Raoul Devereux Seventh Year | Here's some basic first declension nouns. Most of these are feminine, but see if you can spot the oddball (masculine) nouns.
Latin noun - English translation(s)
(nominative, genitive) fāma, fāmae - rumor, fame, reputation
fōrma, fōrmae - form, shape, beauty
fortūna, fortūnae - fortune, luck
īra, īrae - anger nauta, nautae - sailor
pecūnia, pecūniae - money
philosophia, philosophiae - philosophy
poena, poenae - penalty, punishment poēta, poētae - poet
porta, portae - gate; entrance
puella, puellae - girl
rosa, rosae - rose
sententia, sententiae - feeling, thought, opinion, vote, or sentence
vīta, vītae - life; mode (way) of life agricola, agricolae - farmer
sapientia, sapientiae - wisdom
adulēscentia, adulēscentiae - youth, young manhood; youthfulness
gloria, gloriae - glory
via, viae - way, road, street
amicitia, amicitiae - friendship Enjoy your new first declension nouns! ...and now, some verbs as well! These are verbs from the conjugation described in the first lesson, over in the "Verbs" thread. Enjoy! amo, amare, amavi, amatum - to love or like
cogito, cogitare, cogitavi, cogitatum - to think, ponder, consider, or plan
conservo, conservare, conservavi, conservatum - to preserve, conserve, or maintain
do, dare, dedi, datum - to give or offer
erro, errare, erravi, erratum - to wander, err, to make a mistake laudo, laudare, laudavi, laudatum
servo, servare, servavi, servatum - to preserve, save, keep, or guard
voco, vocare, vocavi, vocatum - to call or summon
satio, satiare, satiavi, satiatum - to satisfy or sate
iuvo, iuvare, iuvi, iutum - to help, aid, assist; please
ceno, cenare, cenavi, cenatum - to dine
culpo, culpare, culpavi, culpatum - to blame
creo, creare, creavi, creatum - to create
muto, mutare, mutavi, mutatum - to change
vito, vitare, vitavi, vitatum - to shun If you're wondering why "laudo, laudare, laudavi, laudatum" is blue, the reason is that "to praise" was used as the example verb in the lesson. Enjoy your new vocabulary!
