The house elves are hard at work preparing your next meal but, they're always willing to prepare an after-hours snack to those students who are brave enough to tickle the pear and enter the kitchens.


ooc: We DO have house elves playing this term so, please do not RP for them.

Alice walked into the kitchen, not wanting to go up to the Great Hall. She had heard that the house elves were really nice and would give you all you wanted. She had never seen a house elf, so she timidly knocked on the already-open door. Deep breaths, Deep breaths.....I wonder what they look like?Alice thought to her self.

Two pointed ears and two eyes the size of tennis balls peer out from the pantry. Argyle isn't expecting company at this time of the day. Argyle notices a young lady looking around the kitchen. "Hello, what are you doing here?" Argyle asks staying safely behind the pantry door.

Om nom nom. Theo was hungry. So he needed to be where the food was. The Kitchen. Now what did he fancy? Mashed Potato? Sugar-free cookies? Oooo he would get some sugar free ones and some for Fia. As a present in a basket.

He tickled the pear which would give him access, and entered the kitchen. He spotted the elves all around. Yay food!

Argyle sees another one in her kitchen. Argyle leaves the pantry and walks into the kitchen proper. "Hello, how can I help you?" Argyle curtseys to the students.

Theo smiled as a little elf came to say hi. He wasn't sure if it was a girl or a boy elf. How could one tell this? "Hello there," he said, offering his hand to the elf, "I am Theo and I would like some sugar-free cookies and some normal sugar ones. But the sugar ones should be really pretty. They are a present."

Argyle shakes the boys hand. "I am Argyle. Sugar free cookies... I believe Miss Melita has baked some of them. Do you want sugar or chocolate chips. Miss Melita loves chocolate chip cookies with macadamia nuts. The regular sugar cookies are just round. I can put them in a decorative tin with a big bow if you like?"

"Nice to meet you Argyle," Theo smiled. An elf was shaking his hand. Squeeee! "Ummm I just want sugar ones for Fia. Because sugar ones are plain and simple like me." He nodded, "Yes please. I would like that. Can the bow be yellow please?"

Grace walks into the kitchen a little bit unsure. She looks around and is happy to see that she isn't the only student here.
"Hello", says she and smiles.

Tavelon was dawdiling outside the common room, trying to clear his mind before he got back to homework. He perused the paintings, all of them moving except for a still life. Who would paint a magical still life? Lazily, Tavelon traced his finger along the painting when all of a sudden the still-life wasn't still anymore. The pear moved.

And it giggled. Tavelon stepped back at this point, wondering why a pear would giggle. But in a moment more, it turned into a doorknob. Being an inquisitive little 11 year old, Tavelon opened the door that had formed, and lo and behold found the kitchen.

He could do with a snack. That would probably help with his concentration.

Argyle notices two more students have entered the kitchen. Argyle cutseys to them too. "Hello Mistress, Master, how can Argyle help you?"

"Hello Argyle. Nice to meet you.", Grace says with a smile. "I would like to have a cup of cocoa and some cookies if it doesn't make too much work."

"Nice to meet you too Mistress. Argyle would be happy to get you a snack and your cookies too Master." Argyle disappears in the kitchen for a few minutes. Argyle returns with a tray laiden with goodies. For the lady, A cup of hot chocolate and a plate of Professor Kazimeriz's favorite sugar cookies. For the maste a tin full of special sugar cookies tied together with yellow ribbon. Aryle place the tray down on the kitchen table. "Argyle hopes you find everything to your liking. The sugar cookies are Mistress Kazimeriz's special recipe. Professor Kazimeriz swears by them." Argyle take a cookie off the plate and eats it. House elves do enjoy tasting their creations.

Jake, being Jake, knew every way to get sugar, and to be perfectly honest... the temptation was too much. You just CAN'T put a kid like Jake sleeping on the same level as the kitchens, okay? He didn't care about how ill he would get later... Jake just wanted sugar.

BUT he had to go through to the kitchens in disguise, with sunglasses, and hat, and a large coat. Just in case the House Elves were told not to give him sugar.

Bwaha.

Jake tickled the pear, entered the kitchen and looked started for a moment. People were HERE?! NUUUUU! Well... he was disguised... maybe he'd be safe...

Theo beamed at the house elf. "Thank you Argyle," he said, taking the tin off the table. "They look amazing. I will tell you if she likes them." He walked away with his tin. He had to find Fia.

Argyle smiles and curtsey. "Argyle is happy to serve you." Argyle then notices someone new in the kitchen. The person is wearing sunglasses. Since the kitchen has about four windows all high in the walls, Argyle cannot understand why anyone would need sun glasses. The man is not tall enough to be Master Truebridge. The individual looks more like a boy than a man. "How can Argyle help young master?"

Rafe tickled the pear and entered the kitchen. He heard that Hogwarts had hundreds of House Elves and was curious to see if it was true. He was in the mood for a bit of a midnight snack and sneeked through the corridors.

This was so exciting they were everywhere! One little house elf was helping another boy, he'd seen in Professor Kazi's office. He hoped he wasn't interrupting anything. Wow!

Staring shiftily around the room, Jake noticed somebody else enter and quickly checked to make sure it wasn't Lawson (which was hard, since he was wearing sunglasses) but all was well.

"Erm... yeah..." Jake mumbled, turning back around. "I need sugar. A big bag of sugar," he said bluntly, just wanting to get this over with so he could go and just EAT the bag of sugar.

Tavelon paused for a moment. The possibilities.... Were endless. He could now try all the delicacies he'd wanted.

But now he didn't feel like anything fancy, just some comfort food. "Um... Can I please have a cup of cocoa and a cookie?"

Tobias' stomach gurgled hungrily. It seemed days since his last meal, although in reality the only thing separating his last piece of pie from now was two hours of homework. Whatever the reason - time, the mental strains of homework – Tobias needed food. Now.

The upside to having a mischievous aunt was that she knew many of the tricks of Hogwarts. Tobias had been pre-warned about moving staircases, trickster ghosts, rude pictures, and creepy statues by crazy Aunt Mabel just before the train. She had also given him a little book from her Hogwarts years, a gem of tricks, treats, and cleverness. However, it was like an uncut gem – no organization whatsoever. Hurriedly and hungrily, Tobias flipped through the creamy pages textured with tiny, Daily Prophet-perfect writing. Kitchen…Kitchen…Kitchen…AHA! Kitchen. There it was.

Following the instructions carefully, Tobias searched out the painting with a pear and tickled it. Grinning like a boy who had just successfully put a tack on the teacher’s chair, Tobias turned the knob to the kitchen triumphantly.

"Thank you Argyle", Grace says, taking the plate and the cup. "I'm sure they are delicious. They look great."

"I need to go," Jake said suddenly, standing stock still as more people entered. He would surely be recognised soon. Not good, dude. Adjusting the sunglasses on his face, Jake backed away from the elf and chewed on his thumbnail. "Kthxbi..."

And he darted out.

Nathaniel had never been to the kitchen while at Hogwarts.. but seeing as he was realllly bored and reallly hungry he figured why not. He wondered into the kitchen with sweets on his mind.

Mina stepped through the door and looked around. Her stomach was was starting to rumble a little. Ice cream was just what she needed or maybe cake. Turning back to the door, she waited for Carter to walk in.

Carter walked in and noticed the house elf helping someone else. He led the way to an open counter. He pulled out a chair for Mina.
