For the final decisions - I think that's a good idea. Collaboration will make it run much easier. Will you be planning on splitting the days between the officers when the events actually open?

Hey guys, today is the 13th and the event is supposed to launch on the 31st. That isn't a whole lot of time, so we need to get moving if we want this to happen

First, I need one of the co-presidents to make the announcement that Jess (PhoenixRising) is the new Activities Officer (YAY JESS! LoL) and also announce the positions that are open - news, promotions, and graphics.

Someone please develop a short PM to send out to the FC members telling them that activity is on the decline and we'd like them to come back and participate in what we have going on. Mention the positions that are vacant and also hint toward the big event that we're planning.

Lastly, let's get the details on this event wrapped up. Someone make a list of things that are completely 100% done, things that have been started but need to be finished, and things that haven't even been touched yet. We need to get organized if we want to pull this off.

I've just posted in the announcement section about Jess being afbulous and moving to Activities Officer, and also posting that new officers positions are available. So fingers crossed we'll have some applicants soon.

And for the list of what needs to be completed - Do we have the go ahead yet? I drafted the proposal in a prev post, but nothing's been mentioned as to whether it's ok to run with?

As for what needs doing, I've completed a quiz (subject to people thinking it's not too hard/ easy), the discussions and letter thread are set up and ready to go anyway. Could we add a couple of games threads for the fortnight? Like a doubledare game (but JKR related) and a 'Jo is my woman' type of thing.

One thing we could decide on now - the re-write a scene comp - which scenes should we put forward? I was thinking the final battle (gives them plenty of scope and opportunity) and the wedding. Just have the difference of both romantic and action. Not sure about the 3rd scene. Any one any preferences about the scenes we should choose?

That does mean we have the Guess the Charrie, Find the Horcruxes, Grab bag, Book Cover and Design the Graphics to complete. Not sure if I've missed anything out.

Grab Bag - Now, not being a graphics person, I've no how these go or what needs doing, so HELP.


The trivia quiz (subject to no one objecting to the questions I sent them), the news thread, the discussion threads, design the Banner/ Avvie/ Siggie and Letter to Jo are all things that don't need any work. So I guess we can class them as Completed.

I suppose we also need to advertise as well. Any ideas? If we do all the intricate planning in here, is there anyway of closing the thread so people can't spoil the fun by sneaking a look at our plans - Just a thought.

The great and Lovely Stacey (Ladynerd) has offered her assistance, so if we could all figure out what we are going to do and what we need to farm out that would be great.

Anyone able to undertake any of these would be great.

Okay, I can work on the grab bag since I'm okay with making graphics. But I can't do them all on my own. If ANYONE can help with the grab bag let me know please!

Now as I understand it, grab bags work like this; a bunch of random graphics are made, all avvie sizer I believe, though there could be a few siggie size ones. Now as for how the members get the graphics I'm unsure, I think they just take what they want, leave a message saying they took one and that's that.

If we had more G.O, we could have done a request grab bag, where the members request certain graphics and the G.O make them as they requested. That usually works great, though the first way should be how we go about it since we don't have a G.O. right now.

Suggestions for the Re-write a Scene comp: Have we decided on which book we'll be dealing with? All of them or just one, like DH? I'll suggest a few for DH...

- The scene where Dobby dies. They could change it so he didn't die or something?
- The scene with Lucius and that professor from Muggle Studies I think it is? Change that somehow I guess.
- Bellatrix's demise - Now I know some people were not happy with this scene so it can definitely be changed.

I'll try to think of more.

Draft PMs and User notes: Is a draft done yet? If not, then I could write this, but if that's what you wrote up there, Nat.. then it looks good!

Game threads: Two? My votes are for a "Jo is my author" - always a popular one; and perhaps a dare game ("Joanne", "Joanne", "Rowling",...) ... or something to that effect

Get a book cover: I don't mind making some graphics for people if they were to request. Things to request (pseudo name, age, brief bio)... perhaps if others are willing we can make up funny descriptions for the inside as well?

Re-write a scene comp: This is an individual competition, right? If so, then I like all the ones Ari suggested... Those three are good!


We need a description for each of the activities, right? But we're PMing everything we actually do to you?

Ok, I' have a few graphics done, nothing huge though since I have to look for pics etc, but it's a start.

As for the others, I'm still trying with the Horcrux clues, but got writers block. If anyone is feeling particularly creative and wouldn't mind either looking over what Ive got so far, or tweek them or have any really good ideas, let me know. Would really appreciate an expert eye.

With the Re-Write a scene - sounds like we're onto a winner, unless anyone else has any ideas. The scenes Ari came up with is enough to give people real scope to adapt the scenes (and they are some of my personal favs on the book as well).

The games thread, I think those 2 ideas Jess came up with are good. I think they great ones where anyone can get involved and kept going.

As for the drafts of the Pms and User Notes. Just an idea, but how about we all come up with a few variations (as many as you can think of, but if we start with 3 each) and post them in here, and we can all use them to interchangably to tag people with them? Unless anyone has got any other ideas. I'm just pulling things from the top of my head.

And I suppose that leaves the book cover. If it's any help, what do you think about arranging the time table for that to be done last off, so it gives a bit more time to sort it? Then we can proper brain storm it?

Hey Im reporting for duty as promotion officer in this fine FC. So any help you need I'm up to the job and I see Tommy is my partner... I have worked with her before and still am and well we are used to each other. So if you need anything I'm up for the job.

Jess and I have sent out the dares to all JKR FC members, now it's up to all of us to send them out to random members. Hopefully this'll bring more members into the club and old members back.

The dares and the grab bag look great. I've been sending dares randomly to non-members, but gonna keep going with that.

The Horcrux one, Caitlin is working on the coding, so I bet she'll let us know when it's ready to roll. It's just a shame we didn't set up a RP for a party to celebrate. It's been playing on my mind all day, just wish I'd thought of it in the planning stage. It would've been good to set that up for everyone (whether Ministry/ School or completely different Charrie) to come celebrate.

But it's looking good so far.
