The JKFC is going back to basics. Because we never had to earn our forum, the club was never as organised and as active as it should be. Therefore we are going to start afresh! We will need to earn extra threads and the official status as an FC again just like any other club would.
Keep an eye out for new officer positions applications and activities.

New Officers:
The JK Rowling Fan Club is in search of new officers to promote the fan club once more and get it back on it's feet. If you are interested in a position, please send your answers to these questions to me, LadyNerd, and make sure to fill out all questions: Quote:
1. What is her birthday?
2. What University did she attend?
3. Describe why JK Rowling is your favorite author, or one of your favorite authors. Also, describe what separates her from the other authors of the world.
4. Describe how you would take care of the FC such as discussions, games, contest, anything to keep the club active with old and new members.

7. What other officer positions (if any) do you hold in other fan clubs on SS? Be sure to include any other positions you may hold in other areas of the site if they apply (ex. Language Mod in Dept. of Int'l Coop.)

Just a reminder...
The letter to Jo is still open and waiting for you to contribute! Have something you'd like to say to Jo? Want to congratulate or thank her for her contribution to the literary world? Now you have the place to do it! But act fast, the thread won't be open much longer and the letter will be sent out soon! Deadline is going to be February 12th! Just over 2 weeks - it'll go by quick so go there now and tell Jo why she's so special enough to have her own SS Fan Club!
Also, officer positions are still available! Application is listed in the previous post. No experience required! If you have a love for the JKRFC and the time and dedication we're looking for, then send in your application now! We are more than willing to train you in any position to be the best officer you can be! So, give it a shot and apply by February 12th! Couldn't hurt, right?

New Co-President Appointed!
That's right! We've just appointed the new Co-President of the JKRFC! Everyone congratulate ndebic on this honor! We know she is going to be an amazing Co-President alongside Monkey Princess. As Activities Officer, Nat was always coming up with great ideas to improve the JKRFC and we know that she'll continue to do the same as Co-President!
We've had some other officer changes recently as well. Tailzinator and accio.brain have had to step down from their Graphics Officer positions in order to accommodate real life business. We still have bonnelass830 in the Graphics Officer position, but if anyone is interested in joining her, please send me a PM with a sample of your work and the application found in post #5 of this thread.
With ndebic being promoted from the Activities Officer position, we've developed a new opening in the JKRFC Officers. If anyone is interested, please apply using the application found in post #5. Thanks!

Good news everyone! The JKRFC is moving up in the world! Because activity is on the rise and our last event was successful, we're going to be reopening the chat thread and the revolving games thread! We are going to be closing the general JKRFC thread, however, as it will no longer be needed.
In order for us to have a chat thread running, we must have at least one discussion actively running, with active being defined as at least one post made within the last two weeks. Let's be sure to keep our discussions active so that we can keep our chat feature in the FC! If anyone has suggestions for Jo-related discussions that you'd like to see posted, please submit them in the Suggestions thread.
