I was just thinking about Binns since something Nick said to Harry in the fifth book and he is the only one I can't seem to understand about since he just died in his sleep and got up and went to class as a ghost.

Oh Liam, I think I know what you're talking about... and if I'm wrong about what you thought then it's another point. Right, so they can choose to 'go on' can't they? We know this from the 5th and 7th book. But how did Binns just fall asleep and come back as a ghost... without choosing to? Suspicious

Discussion: It doesn't say when Binns died, now I've just thought of something else. How did Sir Nicholas de Mimsy Porpington get to hogwarts, in the 5 book it's places you have been but for Nick to be a Sir (Knighted) how did he end up at hogwarts I would have thought he would live in a big house and he would have wanted to go their after he died. Also what did he do to become a Sir.

Discussion: Maybe Sir Nick had a felt a close connection to the school and felt that he wanted to see people and not wander a lonley castle the rest of eternity, plus in the books there are little hints to say that Nick must have done something wrong otherwise why would he have become Nearly headless??????????
