Melinda bit her lip as well, as if something told her to do it. She sighed and thought about his proposal. If you think it's going to work...then come. At least for a bit. It's getting a little late and people are waiting for me to appear in an hour or so...

"Oh...I see. How was it like, sir...to be in an only-boys school?" She asked, though she knew the feeling quite well, Belle's and Coopers. She shivered....

"I have this question, about Chris's gestures. Does his nose wrinkle when he gets angry or upset?" She asked her, hoping to finally know the answer.

I will be come in a minute. Chris told Mel.

He then turned to Chalice and Lena. "Hey guys I'm going to go into the kitchen for a minute. I will be right back. Ok?" He said.

"Umm I really didn't mind it to much. But I guess it was because I knew my father went there, and his father went there." Charlie said and shrugged. "But Chris didn't want to go. So after bagging us for months on end we finally let him go to Hogwarts." He said.

Emily thought for a moment. "Umm yes he does." She said now thinking harder about it.

This is when Chris walked in. He cleared his throat. "Umm Mum, Dad." He said with a sheepish smiled. Hoping his Mum more then anyone would get what he was doing.

Emily looked up at Chris. "Oh umm yes of course." She said standing up looking at Charlie. "Well Melinda if I don't see you again before you leave it was very nice to finally meet you." She said to Mel and smiled. Then walked over to Charlie.

Charlie picked up Nick. "Yes nice it was nice to meet you and hope to see you soon." He said as he put Nick down and started walking out of the kitchen.

"Bye," Nick said and then ran out of the kitchen with his dad.

Chris watched them leave and mouthed thanks to his mum. He then went and sat down next to Mel. "I know it would work." He said smiling.

Helena laughed, remembering the time on the Hogwarts' Grounds that he was speaking of as though it were yesterday. Yes, well, I suppose I'll work on it. She grinned, winking at him.

Helena nodded quickly, making the smile remain on her face and saying, Yeah, no problem. No problem at all. She continued the smile until Chris was out of site in the kitchen. From then on, she blocked out everyone's words who were in there and let her light purple eyes wander.

Melinda listened to Chris's childhood. The stubborn kid he was to be let go to Hogwarts. She smiled wide when Emily agreed to the wrinkled nose deal. She knew it had to come from some time before he had met her. "He was a stubborn kid and I can guess the nose helped..." She said, with a laugh.

She heard Chris coming into the kitchen and suddenly knowing that his family was leaving. Oh...she wanted to see them more...well, and talk to Chris of course, it was the most desired wish after so much time of not seeing him.

"It was nice to meet you as well...and I'm glad it happened, finally." She said with a smile. "...and remember, Nick...I will be here to play Quidditch..." She confirmed him with a wink. She waved bye to the Kaplans and looked at Chris.

"You know your family too well..." She said, slowly standing up from her chair. "Are you sure...Lena wouldn't mind?" One eyebrow raised, she walked towards Chris and held her anxiety to hug him again.

Helena heard her name vaguely from the kitchen, and for the first time in her life, she felt a little smug at the fact that Mel knew her name. Well, that was something wasn't it? At least it was if you didn't get her, which Lena certainly didn't. Still, she didn't pay it much attention and instead attempted to sink lower into the back cushions of the sofa, trying to imagine what it would be like when she got her own place and trying not to think about what was being talked about one room away.

Emily laughed."Yes he was very much so was stubborn child. But yes it did." She said and smiled towards Melinda.

Nick turned. "Don't worry there's no way I will forget." he said winking back at her.

Chris chuckled as Melinda came closer to him. He took her hands into his. "Well isn't that a good thing. Cause we are finally alone." He said smiling. "She said it was ok. So I don't think she will." He told her.

Melinda smiled to both Emily and Nick as they both walked away and agreed to what she had said. It had been a nice chat and nothing out of the world. She just loved the place and the moment that had just happened.

"And how about Chalice?" Melinda asked once again, knowing part of the conversation was heard at the other room. "I think we only have a few minutes, Chris...I don't want to be rude to them and neither are you." She warned him.

It was enough, she just needed a hug. When Chris took his hands, Melinda rushed and tip-toed to his neck to surround it with her arms. A few tears, again slid down. "Your family has been great to me. And I see why you do that wrinkled nose...it actually helped you to get into Hogwarts." She whispered laughing.

"She didn't say anything. But I don't think she minded to much." Chris told Melinda. "I know." He said and gulped slightly.

Chris then felt Mel hug him. He hugged her back. "I am glad they were." He said. "Did it? Wow I never really know that." He whispered back. "Gosh you are short." He said as he was leaning down to hug her. But he chuckled slightly.

Melinda hugged Chris as tight as she could, though she knew in a matter of time he would be squishing her. She laughed when Chris mentioned the wrinkle nose fact. "It did, so keep on doing it. It just makes people see you're a stubborn person..." She mentioned with a grin.

She slowly took off the hug and gave the glare to Chris. "Hey...hey. As I said to your father, it is so unfair that boys grow more than girls, but genes tend to help with that...you're a Bulgarian, I...am half Spanish, half English. And as I could see through my parents' pictures, they were never tall enough." Melinda mentioned.

She took his hand again. "Now tell me...how was your year?"

Chris felt Melinda tighten in the hug. Though he didn't he knew he would probably hurt her if he did. "Oh great people now think I am stubborn. I guess in some ways it could be good." He said and laughed.

He then also pulled out of the hug. "Don't give me that glare." He said and smiled. "No I don't think it's unfair at all. Well I'm not all Bulgarain, I'm half and half French." He told her.

He then thought back to his year. "It was alright. I made a lot of new friends, most of them girls." He said. "But very stressful with studying and stuff." He told her.

Melinda nodded towards Chris when he mentioned being stubborn. She went back to take another sip of water. Her lips were kind of dry from talking about an hour with no stop...and thinking too much so she could use some...hidration. "You know, it is always good, letting people know that no matter what, you always get your goals achieved." She said with a wide smile.

"But anyways, the male gene always wins..." She mentioned, really not knowing where she got the info from. It was a bit weird that all of the sudden, she was sort of close to scientific senses. "But anyways, I love to see you grow up, have new girlfriends...and enjoy life..." She said, teasing him.

"I bet you did good...you're a charming boy. I can't blame you on that one. Any new guy friends that you met this year?" She asked her, quite curious.

"Ah, yeah...studying is sooo pulling...I had to do the last exams and I almost didn't make it. Beauxbatons is a very strict place when it comes to studying." She talked about it as if she had walked into the school, but she only had home school though it had been quite abnormal to just ignore her last year of magic school.

Chris nodded. "Well yeah I guess in that way it would be a good thing." He said smiling back at her.

"I guess in some senc that's true. But there are some girls who are tall." He said and shrugged.

"Any guys friends?" Chris thought. "Well there was Emiliano." He said. "And of couse the other Chris and Sneeze." He said.

"I hate studying. It's so boring." He said chuckled.

"So I have a question for you. Why did you cut your hair?" He asked he had been thinking of this from the moment he saw her at the door.

"But is practically none the results of a girl who is tall enough...except if both parents are tall..." Melinda mentioned and smiled. When Chris mentioned a new boy in town, great....new friends!! "Emiliano...where does he come from?" Quite interested, Melinda asked, a name in Spanish was not so typical nowadays at Hogwarts. "I'm glad you stayed friends with Chris and Sneeze..." She commented, eyebrow slightly raised. "And I can guess this was Cale Newell's last year...he was about my age..." She thought about that fact.

"Studying makes you a great person...that's how I think about it..." Melinda said with a smile, "though I know it is boring" She finally agreed.

Melinda started to play with her now short hair. She just had an idea of why it had happened. "I just felt like it...I was in the need of a change..." She finally said. She smiled, "do you like it?" She asked, asking for his opinion.

"Yes this is true. So it is all based on if you have short parents or not." Chris said and shrugged slightly. He then bit his lip where was Em from again? "Mexico I think. Yeah that sounds right. But he used to live in Bulgaria." He told Mel. "Yep this was Cale's last year." He said nodding. "Yeah I guess studying does make you abetter person." He said thinking about it.

Chris then put his hand on his chin and look at Melinda. He walked around her. "Humm." He then chuckled as he was now face to face with her again. "Yes of course I love it." He said smiling wide to her.

"A Mexican-Bulgarian...that's something out of the world. But I guess that he was as well a stubborn child..." Melinda mentioned with a giggle. She was again face to face to Chris, she bit her lip...holding her strenghts to just kiss him as she used to a year ago. The sweet taste of love...

"Thanks..." She blushed...that had not happened for a whole year...of course, Chris was never there.

"Yeah I guess that's not something you hear about everyday. Well I don't know next time I talk to him I will ask." Chris said and chuckled.

God how much he wanted to kiss her right now. But he wasn't sure if he should. He thought best not to... "Somethings just never change." He said to Melinda smiling. Then took his thumb and stroked her cheek gently.

"Alright...do ask. Any other questions you have for me now? We have a time limit now..." Melinda mentioned, pointing at her watch with her index finger then turning her eyes towards the living room, reminding Chris that Lena and Chalice were waiting for him.

"We will never change..." She whispered, and followed Chris's hand to just caress it.

Chris sighed he had forgotten about Chalice and Lena. "No I don't." He told her.

"So if we will never change you would't mind if I did this?" He asked as he moved his lips cloaser to Melinda's. But he didn't let his lips touch her just in case she did want to kiss him.

Melinda's lips moved closer. It was just once...no one would know...She felt his lips touch hers. She kissed him, slightly but did.

Chris now had one hand on her cheek and his arm around her waist. He kissed her back. But knew they wouldn't be able to stay like this for long. He then pulled back and sighed slightly. "I missed that." He told Mel in a whisper.

The kiss didn't last long, but it sure tasted like that love...sweet love. When they pulled back, Melinda easly cleared the few tears that formed while the kiss. She was begining to cry about it...she had missed it as well. Crossing her arms and feeling like un-protected again, she took a deep breath and looked at the floor.

"I missed it too..." She whispered, "...but I have to go..." Mel said with the pain in her heart.

Chris saw Melinda starting to cry after the kiss. He hugged her even though she had her arms crossed. "Come on Mel, don't
cry." He told her.

He then her hear say she had to go. He pulled her closer to his chest. "I know you do." He said feeling those stupid tears starting to slowly run down his face.

"It just..." Mel's talking became trembling, "...it is so unfair that because of him, I have to hide and had to leave you behind. I miss you too much...and I can't stand to be with Mirelda. She just knows the way I suffer because of this." She finished, once pulled again towards Chris.

Otay...those weren't her tears falling down. They were hisssssss!!! That only happened once or twice during the time they were together. "Don't cry either..." She said, "...please." Mel pleaded.

"It is unfair. I think the who thing is stupid. You shouldn't have to be hiding and everything." Chris said.

He then pulled back from Melinda and turned around. Trying harder then ever to stop crying. He then put his head up to the wall and wiped his tears away. But it didn't really help more tears just came. He then hit his fist to the wall. "This is just stupid." He mumbled as he finally stopped crying.

"...I know..." Melinda said, watching Chris go mad against the wall and even hurting his fist. "But...it's to no use anymore to hide. Once I turn eighteen...some things had to change. He will know where I am, with Mirelda and he'll go after me. So, I have to leave the place at once...and come back to England." She ended, with half-smile."...or to some other place, but to start a life...not as a witch, but as a normal person, a Muggle...chef." She grinned at her own decission. It was weird to say that she wanted a normal life. It would never be possible.

"And that's why I'll be able to come once in a while to see your family and you, when you are on break of course..." She said.
