The sixth and seventh year students in the Muggle Studies class have been given a special assignment. They've all been shipped off to a muggle camp, for two weeks, in order to live with and like muggles. They're to observe the muggles' ways of life and when they come back, they're to write report about what they learned. This also means that for two weeks they aren't allowed to use magic. They have to be extra careful to make sure none of them slips up and reveals the wizarding world.

Some students are excited and others . . . not so much. Living in small, cramped cabins without magic and the luxuries they're used to will be hard. But then again there's a crystal, clear blue lake that they can go for a swim in and the evening campfire ceremonies and a sky full of stars they can gaze at. Not to mention, there's no homework to be done [for now]. And then there's the muggles. Some of them are actually nice and not so different from themselves.

And so what'll happen within the two short weeks the Hogwarts students are there? Friendships will be made and maybe even some romance will blossom. The typical camp prank or two might create some tension but that's all up to us to figure out! So join join join!

And we need male and females and muggles too! No more than three characters to a person! Remember to specify if your character is a muggle. Thanks! =]

They have apples, bananas, grapes and pear."

Belle had to giggle. It was obvious Nick was a pureblood by the way he acted sometimes, even if the girl didn't already know it. 'It depends on whether you like roasted marshmellows or you prefer them as they are in the pack,' she answered him, knowing she personally preferred them roasted. 'You'll see what I mean if we get a chance to roast them.'

'Sing songs?' Okay. Now he was crazy. Even if there was a campfire Belle would never be caught dead singing songs around it. Not until the world ended, at least. Or maybe that was a little too dramatic.

She shrugged. 'Not particularly. But then again I don't each much at home anyway.' Easy enough for her. She followed the others into the mess hall, glancing around her briefly. Not too bad, considering she'd fallen out of familiarity with muggles buildings. She grabbed an apple from the bowl Nick was stood beside, leaning casually against the table it was supported on.

'So what d'you think you'll like the most here?' she asked him curiously, rubbing the apple on her top before taking a bite into it.

Her hand still curled in her older brother's, Alice leaned against a tree, brushing her stray hair away with her free hand. Everyone else seemed to know each other, that was just a teeny bit unfair, no? Letting go of Ethan, she allowed her eyes to rest on each of the people individually. They were all so... Different. It was strange. Coming from a large house.

James wans't having much sucess and he didn't like that. Girls always liked him. Those didn't seem to be paying him much attention.
It was frustating; he was there, in a camp where he didn't want to be with girls that pay him no attention. Why did he always agreeed with Brian?

He approched a girl that was leant to a tree.
"Hey there." he greeted in his soft gestures.

Brian kept looking around and taking pictures. He was in his element, the nature. But two weeks were too little time.

Overjoyed that someone was speaking to her, Alice almost pushed her older brother over. "Hey." She replied, a small smile appearing coyly at the side of her mouth. From now she'd learnt from her brother not to say "thanks for coming over" as if she was some sort of queen, but she'd also learnt not to just stand there looking shy, so, extending a slender hand, she introduced herself, "Alice Morton. Nice to meet you."

Flinching slightly as Alice jumped up from her relaxed position, Ethan gave her a cautious look. That coy smile made his sister look too nice, and he'd be damned if any cocky idiot was going to try anything with her on this camp.

"James Templeton." he introduced himself, bringing her hand to his lips; playing a little. That was what he did. "It's really nice to meet you too." He leant on the tree too, staring at her. Girls liked attention and compliments. He was an expert on both.
"So... you don't know anyone else, huh?" he asked, looking around to all the groups forming.

As her hand touched his lips, Alice stopped for a second. Just everything stopped. What the heck had he just done? She gave a quizical look to her older brother, but was a little shocked to see the overly protective look on his face. It scared her slightly.

"Nope." She finally replied, unsure if she'd liked what he'd just done, but still her old self, "You?"

"I'm with that git over there. Hey, you." he called for his friend. "Stop being unsociable and introduce to the lady." this type of situations was typical of James. Brian didn't bother with any of it.

Brian came closer, with relaxed steps. He was polite like always.
"Hello. Brian. How are you?" he said, putting the small camera on his pocket.

Laughing slightly, Alice smiled at Brian, feeling slightly more at ease now there was two of them, and the focus wasn't just on her, "Hey, I'm Alice, and this is my brother, Ethan." She gestured to her sullen brother who had no more life in him than a statue did. "I'm good thank you, and yourself?" She asked the last bit with a bit too much sweetness. Sometimes it just popped out.

James frowned at the girl's laugh. That wasn't suppose to be that way. His friend would get the girl. James' mind was all about girls and going out, and dancing in clubs, even. The rest didn't matter to him, unless it involve some sort of danger.

Brian wasn't even thinking about anything of that. He liked reading, taking photos and study. He was a simple guy that was always friendly, polite and sometimes rare times, shy.
He replied Alice with a nod.
If you don't have anything smart to say, don't speak at all. Of course James didn't live by that rule.

"So... you are familiar with this region?" James asked, making conversation.

Dominick turned to smile at Camila as she called him Dom. That had been Camilas thing ever since they had started in Gryffindor together 6 years ago. He didn't mind being called Dom it worked as well as Nick. Giving Nicholas a nodd he moved along into the mess hall.

Standing inside the mess hall eating a piece of banana he called out to Nicholas "Mate, do you want a fruit?" Munching away at his banana next to Belle he looked over at Camila asking "Do you want to go out exploring the campsite?"

Nick scratched his head and said to Belle "Umm. I don't know which i like best. I guess i have to try both a roasted and a nonroasted marshmellow to give you an answer. And actually taste marshmellows for the first time since i've never tasted them."He liked how she giggled and talked with him. It was easy to be himself. Nick took a seat on one of the empty chairs next to where Belle was leaning on the table and asked curiously "Haven't you ever sat around a fire singing camp songs together with other people or you're family? Its quite fun and nobody cares if you sing good or not."

He finished off the last pieces of his banana before digging into his few grapes. As Belle asked her next question he felt his ears go a little red as he said quietly but loud enough for her to hear. "Erm.. Getting to know you... And of course the other campers. Umm..I guess taking part in the camp activites. I don't really know what you can do at this camp.. Do you?" Nick wondered how she would react to his small confession.

She glanced around her. 'But I don't know what we're going to end up doing here. It's bound to be different.'

If a little pleased at the frown by the taller boy, Ethan was even more pleased when the other boy didn't say anything at all. Still leaning in a protective way around Alice, he watched both of them with a slightly dark look

"No," Alice replied, a smile still on her face, "We've actually just moved from Ireland." Then with another slightly amused look, said, "Do you? Because I'm sure you could show me and Eth around."

"Of course!" was what he exclaimed, though. "No problem! Me and Brian can show you this... Right, Brian?"

THe other boy smirked in ammusement. James always got in to the situations and waited Brian to rescue him. Brian knew what would happen if he agreed: he'd be searching that place on the internet and improvising while James would be flirting with the girl.
He frowned, not wanting to lie for James. Again.
"Well, I have to do..." he didn't finish thinking about something he had to do.

Playing around with a grape on the table Nick asked "If i sing with you will you do it then? That is if we even will get the chance to sing any camp songs." His small modest confession seemed to throw Belle off, but only for a moment. Nick was about to say something to smooth things over when Belle continued as if hadn't said anything weird at all. Chewing on his purple grape he said "Yes, two weeks is a very long time." A very long time without magic and the other school activities. Made he was supposed to see it as a learning experience for the life after school which wasn't too far off. Looking up at Belle he asked "Brownie group? Whats that? Is it a group were you learn to survive and use what nature has to offer?" Looking around the room Nick said to Belle quietly "Everything is so new and different. I haven't really been on a camp with kids my own age. Have you? I've been to camps but only with my extended family."

Occ: Hpangel do we need some to play a camp leader character to get things to move on in the rpg?

ooc: I'll play the camp leader. And if I'm not on and you guys want things to move along, you can just play any extra characters if need be.

And it was at that moment that an older woman stepped out. She had short, bouncy blonde hair and seemed to be in her late twenties. She held a small, red binder her in her left hand and there was a whistle around her neck.

She surveyed the mess hall to see most of the campers gathered here and figured it'd be alright to start off. She blew her whistle loudly to quiet the hall and it worked. A silence immediately fell as she got the attention of most of the campers. "Alright," she said, "I know some of you have been here before and know how things work and others of you are new. You'll pick up the swing of things as you spend more time here. First things first though--cabin assignments."

She pulled out several sheets of paper. "All of you have already been preassigned. I don't want any complaints. Any problems you have will need to be solved or else you'll be moved elsewhere and you will not like it." She paused and began passing out the papers to all the different campers. "Boys cabins are on the west side and girls on the east. Do you all understand?"

ooc: I'm not sure if you guys want me to just randomly assign people to a cabin or if that'd be godmodding.

Rebecca had just entered the mess hall when the leader in charge of the camp made her appearance. She quickly took a seat at one of the tables. As the camp leader started talking Becca looked around the hall at the other campers wondering if she would find some new friends among them. Realizing that the camp leader wanted some response she looked up asking a bit unsure "Miss, do you mean boys to the west and girls to the east? Umm. Left side?"

OCC: For my part you can just randomly assign the cabins. I don't have any preferance on who Rebecca and Dominick shares a cabin with.

"Yes," she said with a vigorous nod. "And I want absolutely no girls going onto the boys' side and same for the boys. Never go to the girls' side. You will be punished as I see fit."

Rocio rolled her eyes with a light smirk on her face. She knew that was probably one rule that was bound to be broken. At least she knew she wouldn't be abiding by it. She couldn't help herself sometimes.

"Breakfast is always from eight to ten," she went on. "Lunch starts at noon exactly and dinner will be served at seven. The campfire ceremonies will always be from eight thirty to ten. Everyone is to be in their cabins by ten and if you're caught wandering after hours, you will be punished." She looked at her binder. "Oh and any special scheduling will be announced at breakfast or posted on our notice board." She pointed to a board at the front with papers tacked on.

"The first thing on our agenda is the traditional dance we have every year. It will be held at the end of this week. If you are caught breaking any of our rules your punishment will be that you cannot attend." She looked around at them all. "Is this understood? Any more questions?"

As the papers went around. The cabin assignments were as follows:

She shrugged, knowing that (like Derek), Nick probably thought it was going to be a difficult two weeks without magic. It still confused her that purebloods sometimes found it difficult to live without magic. Still. She wasn't going to voice that opinion again.

She nodded. 'We used to meet every Monday, and we learnt basic life skills. Often we were in the local church hall, but sometimes we went out and about to learn about outdoors. Also, sometimes, we had camps, but I only went on one of them,' she explained.

It didn't surprise Belle Nick hadn't been to a camp before with anyone his own age. It wasn't exactly something she found Hogwarts offered until now. 'As I said, just Brownies and back garden camps.' It was, to an extent, new to her as well, but the basics were already ingrained in her mind.

She turned back to Nick. 'You any good at dancing?'

Leo's attention as he leant against a wall was caught by the cabin assignments. His keen eyes scanned the list quickly, and he frowned as he realised he was in the same cabin as that male Rocio had introduced him with a . . . not so pleasant description. Well, he'd do his best to ignore Derek if he ended up getting too like Rocio's description.

A smirk played in James' lips as he heard the rules. At least half of the rules would be broken, of that he was sure and mostly by him. Now he wasn't paying to the girl, or her statue brother, he had been talking to. He turned at his friend:
"Gee, man. We're in different cabins. That sucks." he said.

Brian agreed with a nod, not because what James was saying was true but because it was an habit. Actually, he enjoyed the idea of making new friends in there.

"Well, now that you have your cabin assignments, I suggest you hurry along and unpack your things, settle down and meet your cabin mates," said the head counselor. "Now get moving, the lot of you. I want all of you in your cabins for the time being."

Rocio giggled. She was so excited for this. She headed off to find Derek. She would meet her cabin mates later; first she wanted to meet his cabin mates. They would probably be far more interesting. Well, boys were always interesting to her.

Nickname/Aliases: No nicknames, she hates it. Only very close people can call her Lisa..and if you want to wake up with green hair, pink eyes and yellow body.. call her Mell.
Age: 16 almost 17. (Sixth year)

House: Ravenclaw
Personality: She might know lots of people, almost every student and their foolish secrets , but that doesn’t ,mean Melissa has a lot of friends.. actually, most of the people dislikes her. And that people who dislike her.. well feeling is mutual, therefore, she dislikes them too.
But she can be pretty nice for those who actually like her.
This red-haired girl is not your typical Ravenclaw, many people say she should have been a Slytherin because of her temperament and her ambition.
She is not afraid of using her wand when necessary..and sometimes even when it's not
thatnecessary.
She is not the biggest fan of the library, she only goes there because she has work to do, though she likes books, a lot.
When she puts something inside her head, its hard for someone to change her mind.

History: Her mother left when she was eleven, when Melissa’s pure blood father told her that he was a wizard and that Melissa and her sister were witches. Since she was eleven, she remembers it all pretty well..and its one of the memories she must hate. After that, Melissa moved to the wizard world with her father and her sister.
Her father changed his opinion about muggles.. in a very negative way..and so did Melissa.
Family: 12 year old sister named Catherin, also a Ravenclaw. They both live with their father in the wizards world.
Extra: She dislikes Quidditch, she thinks Quidditch players are insupportable and ridiculously full of themselves.

Personality: There is not much to say about this seventeen year old boy. Matthew is a very simple guy, he likes to act like there is no tomorrow. His first rule is to wake up with a smile on your face and go to bed with a grin. He is an extremely friendly person, that most of the times prefer to stay listening and observing before making any commentary.
There is actually no one who dislikes him.. well, of course someone must dislike him..especialy because he is very extroverted person and when he is in a goofy mood he may start playing pranks, but he just doesn’t really care about it.

History: He lives with his parents and his white dog, that he loves like more than just a lot, in York, and he is pretty glad to be an only child.
Both his parents work at York medical school, therefore, he has many people making pressure on His shoulders because they want him to be an extremely good doctor.

That was officially the stupidest idea Hogwarts ever had.
Well, technically, it was the Muggle Studies teacher who suggested it.. but the school accepted it, therefore they were all crazy.
Two weeks away from magic.. two horrible weeks in a stupid muggle camp!
Seriously, for some reason the muggle world and magical world are separated!
Melissa stopped just a couple steps away from the muggle camp with her arms crossed.
Agr, it actually looked a tinny little bit well-brought-up.. and that only contributed for Melissa to feel even more annoyed.
The red haired, breathed out and started walking towards the woman that was talking and her eyebrows popped up when she didn’t read her name on the cabin assignments paper or whatever that was.
“Well excuse me. I don’t see my name in there..” she spoke, trying her best not to sound rude.
Agr muggles.

It wasn’t Matthew’s first time on that camp, actually it was the third one, he just loooooved that place.
Bleh, it was just a shame he couldn’t take his dog with him, it would make things even more funny.
Girls loved animals, especially white beautiful dogs, therefore taking his dog with him would have been great.
Besides, his dog looked like a wolf so.. it would be amazing to play pranks at night.
Oh well, he would have to continue to exist for the next two weeks without his beloved dog.

Matthew walked out of his parents car and waved goodbye then they turned around and left.
With a grin on his face, the boy turned around and looked the camp.
Ah, it was finally camp time.

"You'll be in cabin two then," said the counselor swiftly. "We'll add your name to the list, Miss . . .?" she waited for the girl to give her name. It happened every year. Someone's name didn't make it for whatever reason.

Rocio wandered through the crowd of people heading off towards the boys' side of the camp. She wondered where Derek had gotten off to. She was so busy thinking that she didn't notice there was a boy in her way and walked right into him. "Oh! I'm so sorry," she said. She looked up at him. He didn't seem familiar which meant he couldn't be from Hogwarts. He had to be a muggle. "Name's Rocio," she said holding out a friendly hand and her plump lips in a small smile.

Melissa moved her green eyes to the paper. Cabin two..
Oh, Belle , that was also a Ravenclaw, was there.. and so was that Camila girl.
The other girls she didn’t knew, they were probably muggle girls.
Agr, she was going to sleep with muggle girls just couple steps away from her.

Matthew rolled his eyes amusingly when he noticed his name wasn’t on the papers.. again.
Every year was the same thing, the woman always managed to forget to write his name down.
“Mrs, I start to think you have something against me. You always forget to write my name on the pa..” though, the boy stopped talking when he felt someone bumping into his chest.
Gez, someone really needed to buy a pair of powerful glasses.
Someone .. a girl. At least the person that apologized was a girl, he could tell that by the person’s voice.
“Man.. you bump pretty hard for a girl.” he said while he started massaging his chest with his right hand before moving his eyes to the girl.
Ah, it was a red haired one. So the bumping hard thing was all explained.
Red haired girls always bump/slap hard.. and he knew that very well.
“Rocio? Now that’s an uncommon name.” the boy raised before removing his hand from his pockets to shake hers. I’m Matthew. You are new here aren’t’cha? I come here every year and I’ve never seen you around..

The sound of a familiar voice (not to mention name) had Belle smirking as she glanced over at Melissa. She raised an eyebrow as she finished her apple. 'So you're in Cabin Two as well?' Okay, so maybe Belle had just run her eye very quickly searching for her name. 'It's surprising that you're here, though.'

She knew Melissa's opinion about muggles wasn't quite as positive as Belle's. It surprised her to see her fellow Ravenclaw here - but it would be rather amusing to see the other girl in a cabin with muggles. A small smile played on her lips at the thought.
