Lily Evans didn't know what she had gotten herself into when she agreed to stay with James Potter over the summer break. Her parents were making arrangements for Petunia Evans, and Vernon Dursley’s wedding. Lily wasn't a fan of Vernon Dursley or his family, and she wasn’t a fan of the arrangements that Petunia had helped to make. Petunia, had of course found her Diary, which she had written, “I hate James Potter” on the first page, and so to tick Lily off, she purposefully made her stay with him. How will her summer escapades and rampant mischievousness change her life, and how will they effect her feelings for a certain, James Potter.
NOTE: ONLY FIRST POST IS FROM THE SUMMER, IT STARTS IN THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL.
Plot Information:
In the beginning Lily isn't fond of James Potter or his actions, but in the end she warms to him, and eventually the school year begins. This begins in the tail-end of the summer, but the first post is a basic motticum of emotions that Lily felt in the beginning of the summer before her new experience evolved into a whole new destiny. A Destiny that included a certain James Potter, as her new-found-love in her last and final seventh year at Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Dear Diary,
Petunia has made me stay over-summer with the Potters, how weird is that? She got a hold of my Diary that I forgot at home over the school year and in it, the first words were "I HATE JAMES POTTER". I feel really bad about it now, because I know I don't Hate James anymore, he was so oddeningly kind to me over the past month. We've only got three more weeks of summer break left, and I wonder what will happen between us considering my change-of-heart and his so clear obsession with being around me and wanting to well, date me.

Lily read the note she had written the week before and smiled, today some of her friends were showing up and they were attempting to help her through the end of the month and the end of the summer break. She really loved the Potter's home it was such a beautiful building with a magical inside-litterally, the inside was enchanted so its expanse was much larger than that it looked like it would be from the outside. It looked quaint from the outside, and on the inside it was quaint, but still oh-so-lavish.
Lily walked out of her room in the Potter's home putting her Diary on the end of her bed and locking it quickly. She walked down the stairs and out the back kitchen-door of the house. Where a small crystal-clear pond was visible there were no creatures like Giant Squids or Grindylows in the water here it was so beautifuly an Azure water. She walked to the waters edge and looked at all the small fish swimming around, she loved watching the water as much as she loved dazing off into fire-places.
She heard a slight hoot and looked up seeing a tawny owl with a letter about its leg. Taking the letter and opening it, she realized it was the Hogwarts leters.
Reading the letter she almost screamed. "I'VE GOT HEAD!" She yelled out in shock, she was head girl for her year. Head Girl! She wondered who Head Boy would be and assumed James would not be him, if it was James she would probably feint or blink at him repetatively saying "thats impossible!" Because it really was impossible.
She smiled and heard the door bell ring, walking to the door and opening it she smiled welcoming all the visitors into the home, it wasn't like James's parents would mind. They were constantly off on buisness, which made it possible for them to--well, have many moments alone in their large home. One morning, she had woken and found him gazing at her, and as she stood up, he walked over and planted a kiss on her lips. That was the day she realized she had feelings for him. The day she realized she actually was quite fond of James Potter.

"So? How was summer at the Potters - with Evans that is?" She asked changing the topic from her friend, that she indeed was sometimes jealous of. "So you thinking about going for quidditch again this year?" She asked raising her eyebrow.

Austin smiled at Severus and said "Well i am not sure but we need to think about it and well we should get more people involved as more people involved would make it easier and plus i am sure there are a few more people who don't like James at all"
"Well, we should probably head inside, it does not do us any good to stay out here in the rain. We'll find bloody nobody help us any way. Severus then took hold of Austin and brought him under the awning of the courtyard and scanned the area for Slytherins.

"Yep," Sirius answered, moving his hands into his pockets. "Officially pushed the button too far for their liking...especially mum's. Got myself blasted off the stupid family tree," he said with a shrug. He nodded absently at her mention of her parents feelings for her safety, the unrest and dangers of the wizarding world at present were bound to have many parents worried especially the muggleborns.
"Snivellus...of course when wouldn't I be interested in pranking the sod," the boy remarked to his friend with a smirk. But he did have to admit that deep down he was just as surprised as Gin was that Lily had given her permission tot he deed but he didn't show it.
"Good riddence to them all," he added once Lily was out of ear shot with James following shortly after. It was hard being nonchallant about the changes in his family knowing what had happened with Lily's for he wasn't exactly heartless. "Well other then Uncle Alphard. At least theres one semi-sane person left." Sirius let himself wander a bit around the edge of the field, grown board at just staying in one place. He did look up as Gin spoke again bringing their attention back to the departed pair.
"Yep and to think I'm the dog," he teased before shruging again this time with uncertainty not indifference. "Certainly interesting for the most part and of course....someone's gotta help give the SLytherins a run for their money again this term."
Alex seemed to be the only in the common room. It had looked like rain so he decided not to go out to the pitch to practice flying. He really didn't want to ruin his perfect hair. After all, it had taken him over an hour to do it. But good looks required sacrifice and he definitely was very good looking.
Alex took another look around the common room. He really had no idea where anyone was. He hadn't seen Lily for most of the day, but remembered that she was going down to the pitch for some reason. He really was starting to wonder where some of her cute friends were. Alex could use some cute company.
Gin smiled to Sirius when he said he had one sane family member, "Eh at least you've got one tolerable uncle that must have made reunions so much better." She of course was joking with him, making lgiht of the tremendously dark situation.
"Oy do you want to go for a bit of a fly - or see if there's anyone we can pester?" She asked raising an eyebrow, "I mean we could always head in and divulge ideas on pranks to use on Snivelous.
Cathrine Valentijn ran a hand through her brown hair, sighing she walked to the entrance hall opening the doors she saw how wet the world was. Then, she noticed snape.
"Sevvy, what are you doing?" She asked raising a perfectly manicured eyebrow at her housemate. The slytherin girl was worse than any other boy in her grade she was positively evil. "Planning on getting Pneumonia you idiot? Or planning on getting someone else killed?" She asked laughing maniacally.
Lucien Kensington walked up the stairs from the potions dungeon classroom and noticed Catherin Valetinijn talking with Snape. Opening the door to the common room he found it wasn't empty.

Alex had just leaned back to fill the whole couch as the portrait opened. Oh well. He wasn't going to move if whoever it was wanted to sit there. He looked up to see that it was only Lucien. Alex new that Lucien wouldn't make him move.
"What's up Luci?" Hehe. He was only joking but he had a feeling it might get on his friend's nerves. Even though they really weren't that close. "Really? I haven't seen her all morning." Even if he was in the bathroom fixing his hair for most of it, he was still telling the truth.
"Luci? Thats a new one - usually just get Ken which is so annoyingly passe" he joked back. He had told Alex not to call him Ken when they first met because he didn't like having a name remotely like a muggle girls doll.

He knew that Alex wasn't always friendly with Lily - it could have been slight infatuation but he needed to know. "It might have been her, because well he was acting like a bumbling oaf and doing the hair thing" Lucien mimicked and ran his hand through his hair as Potter always did.
"And if Snivs ever tried anything with her - or hurt any of her friends even new frenamies I'd probably make him have tentacles for life."

James smiled as Lily hugged him. Wrapping his arms around her, he hugged her back. "How about tomorrow afternoon. 4:00. No one should be on the pitch then."
Listening to the next thing she said, he grimaced slightly. "I don't know what I'd do if my parents died. I can't imagine it." James honestly couldn't picture it.
Lily pulled back, and sighed "Well I'm still dealing with it because if anything remotely good or bad happens in my life I only have a retched sister to write to." She huffed, she had told him about Petunia when she was at his place for the summer. "Besides, I think it really helped that I had friends, and yes after all you did for me this summer I do consider you a friend." This was the first time she had ever said to anyone she considered James a friend - and it was going to be news to him as well.
"Well, if you ever need help James I'll be here for you with loads of chocolate." She smiled patting his back, as she realized he really was distraught about it. "Besides you've also got Sirius, Remus, and even Peter for friends here."
Lily smiled, over to him, her eyes soft and caring. "Here don't be upset I didn't mean to hurt your feelings by bringing that up," she sighed and leaned in hugging him once more - this time to even her surprise she had kissed him on the cheek in what her mind considered a friendly way - the rest of her considered her acting on a crush.

"Thanks Lily. I do have all of my friends, and especially in these hard times, we need a lot of friends and allies." As Lily hugged him again, he smiled.
Then...Woah... Did Lily just seriously kiss James on the cheek. James grinned.
Lily was blushing slightly - well like crazy really.
"Yeah your welcome James, and we both have all of our friends." She smiled. Playing with the sleeve of her shirt. "Um, I just need to -" she just pointed at the school as she abruptly stood up. Her hands seemingly shaking. She made to step over James and tripping over his foot landed on his knee.
"Sorry" she mumbled fumbling slightly as she stood up she was in his way so he could see nothing but her, which not like he'd mind still her face was as red as her hair. Which made it even harder to miss.
"This is so embarrassing...why did I do that" She whispered, unaware that he could hear her as clearly as a summers day.

"I'm alright," Lily spoke softly as she managed to pry her legs from their previous spot on the floor. "So four oclock tomorrow?" Lily asked reconfirming the time he had offered to help her with quidditch. "I'm gunna just quickly go and see if anyone else has arrived - nothing personal its just I kind of need to tell Alex, and Lucien, and of course Mary about some things that happened - they all told me to say how summer went and fine wasn't a good enough answer for them." She laughed, somewhat lieing as she spoke to him.
She really wanted to go and talk to them and say she might like James - and more than that even tell Alex or whoever was there that she had just litterally kissed James. "So see you later in the common room? Yeah?" She asked even though the question was more one sided than anything as she began walking to the stairs.
It was nearly five minutes later when she was next to the door way to the school -m where she saw Snape. She froze as she saw him for just a second then walking past him to the door she pushed it open and slipped inside.

Peaches brightened as she saw Severus a few metres away.
"Hi Severus!" She grinned, glad to see another Slytherin/her crush.
"Hi...Aaron." She bit her lip, hoping she got his name right.
"Not up here in the common room but I caught a glimpse of James talking with some girl and couldn't really see who it was - but you know Potter he's absolutely infatuated." Lucien chuckled, yes Alex was brilliant he brilliantly deducted that Snape was no good the minute they met him.
He knew that Alex wasn't always friendly with Lily - it could have been slight infatuation but he needed to know. "It might have been her, because well he was acting like a bumbling oaf and doing the hair thing" Lucien mimicked and ran his hand through his hair as Potter always did.

Severus was about to run inside when he noticed Peaches approuch him. She had always been a good friend to him. "Uh, Hey Peach, I'm planning a prank for James but I got a scat before Cat comes after me. Meet me in the common room in 5 minutes. ", her ended talking to both Aaron and peaches and then running off.
Cat glared at Snape as he pushed her into the rain her eyes flashing dangerously. No one pushed Cat. "Too bad for you Sev I actually like rain." She spoke her words like poison darts. As she saw Evans running by she stuck out her leg. Thump.
"Ow" Lily's head had fallen into the door, right next to Snape. "Valentijn you are going to get it!" She hissed her eyes angry and blood on her forehead. She didn't care. She just got up and began to walk into the school, slipping slightly because she was thoroughly wet, she felt her head it was hot but thought it was only rain water not knowing she was in dire need of a healer. She took a few steps into the school and then saw blood drip off of her nose and onto the ground in front of her.

"What make him look like he's the son of a goat? Wait he already does." Lucien laughed darkly, he was snide, and snarky at times that was probably why he and Alex got along. "What kind of problems are we talking about Lexi" Lucien asked using an on the spot-nick-name jab at his own nickname of Luci. He chuckled, "No one thinks he's attractive when he does that...and she did call him an arrogant toe rag and said that it wasn't cool or good looking just last year." Lucien said with a laugh.
Alex laughed at Lucien's comment. "I'm sure we could find a way to make him look much worse than he already does." He ran another hand through his perfect hair.
He chuckled at the Lexi thing. Hey, he deserved it for giving Lucien a girl's name for a nickname. However, if it was anyone else, they would regret it completely. "Well, we could do something awful to that precious hair of his." Like cut it, dye it, get rid of it all completely...
Alex nodded to show that he agreed. "True. Very true. That means we won't have to worry about him anytime soon." James Potter wouldn't come anywhere near Lily if Alex had anything to do with it.
Lucien laughed at Alex's response, "Well, I think we have a plan...so you want to destroy Potter's hair or Snapes?" Lucien asked raising an eyebrow in a way to give Alex an idea.
He heard the door to the common room opening and turned around hearing no one speak he turned to Alex, "He'll be dealt with no matter wha-" That was when he saw Lily, wet, bleeding, and looking like she was in severe need of help. Still Lucien, was not the one for the job. As he saw the blood on Lily's fore head he fell with a loud thump to the ground feinting.

She finally made it - "hippogryff" she called the password the portrait swinging open not before the fat lady sang "My Dear girl your head is bleeding!" Not like she didn't know that already.
She ran in and saw Alex, and Lucien. "Can either of you help?" She asked pointing to her forehead. She huffed as she saw Lucien feint. "Alex help please?"

"I was thinking Potter's, but Snape's hair works too." Alex could make them twins. They would both really hate that. It helped that both of them couldn't stand each other.
Alex was shocked as Luci stopped talking mid-sentence. And then he saw why. Lily had just walked into the common room, soaking wet and bleeding. He ignored the thump of his friend hitting the floor. Luci could wait until later. Lily was what mattered now.
"Yeah come here." Alex dug around in his pocket for the want and did his best to stop the blood from flowing. It slowed, but it didn't completely heal the cut. "I think that's the best I can do. What happened?" Alex wished he could've done more, like completely heal it or dry her off.

Severus saw Lily fall right in front of him at Cat's hand and even though they were no longer freinds he still felt for her. Before he could do anything to help her she was off with her head bleeding. Severus glared back at cat but then kept kept walking. There was nothing to say. Lily would be fine soon enough and this just a distant memory, just as his freindship with her, right. He walked down to the Slytherin common and was sure his freinds would follow shortly.
Lily nodded walking over to Alex and sitting down. "Thanks, now I can get to the hospital wing - or wait" she thought for a second and pulling out her wand summoned her healing salve over to her. Something she had made over the summer to get rid of all the cuts and bruises everyone else indured during failed quidditch moves.
Applying it to her head the cut immediately healed. It did burn and itch like her face was falling off as soon as she put it on - seeing it was just a salve to speed up the healing process.
"What happened? Oh Cathrine Valentijn happened." Lily thought a slew of cursewords as she thought of the girl. "She tripped me, and rather than being helped by Sev-you know who I decided to come here instead. Besides its good getting a good feint job in during the day." She joked pointing to Lucien. She quickly cast a spell to wake him up.
"So how was your summer?" Lily asked raising an eyebrow, it no longer hurt her to do so which was brilliant.
Cat felt bad. Something she normally failed to do - show or even have feelings at all. Cat ran down to the common room and said a quick "Look Severus I only did that so she'd get hurt and you could heal her." She admitted shrugging her shoulder. This was of course a lie she should have used a simple spell that only Snape could fix Cat after all was a jealous girl. She had liked Potter for a while - along with many other boys in her house. Now she had a thing for...she would never let anyone know she liked him of all people.
