Lily Evans didn't know what she had gotten herself into when she agreed to stay with James Potter over the summer break. Her parents were making arrangements for Petunia Evans, and Vernon Dursley’s wedding. Lily wasn't a fan of Vernon Dursley or his family, and she wasn’t a fan of the arrangements that Petunia had helped to make. Petunia, had of course found her Diary, which she had written, “I hate James Potter” on the first page, and so to tick Lily off, she purposefully made her stay with him. How will her summer escapades and rampant mischievousness change her life, and how will they effect her feelings for a certain, James Potter.
NOTE: ONLY FIRST POST IS FROM THE SUMMER, IT STARTS IN THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL.
Plot Information:
In the beginning Lily isn't fond of James Potter or his actions, but in the end she warms to him, and eventually the school year begins. This begins in the tail-end of the summer, but the first post is a basic motticum of emotions that Lily felt in the beginning of the summer before her new experience evolved into a whole new destiny. A Destiny that included a certain James Potter, as her new-found-love in her last and final seventh year at Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Dear Diary,
Petunia has made me stay over-summer with the Potters, how weird is that? She got a hold of my Diary that I forgot at home over the school year and in it, the first words were "I HATE JAMES POTTER". I feel really bad about it now, because I know I don't Hate James anymore, he was so oddeningly kind to me over the past month. We've only got three more weeks of summer break left, and I wonder what will happen between us considering my change-of-heart and his so clear obsession with being around me and wanting to well, date me.

Lily read the note she had written the week before and smiled, today some of her friends were showing up and they were attempting to help her through the end of the month and the end of the summer break. She really loved the Potter's home it was such a beautiful building with a magical inside-litterally, the inside was enchanted so its expanse was much larger than that it looked like it would be from the outside. It looked quaint from the outside, and on the inside it was quaint, but still oh-so-lavish.
Lily walked out of her room in the Potter's home putting her Diary on the end of her bed and locking it quickly. She walked down the stairs and out the back kitchen-door of the house. Where a small crystal-clear pond was visible there were no creatures like Giant Squids or Grindylows in the water here it was so beautifuly an Azure water. She walked to the waters edge and looked at all the small fish swimming around, she loved watching the water as much as she loved dazing off into fire-places.
She heard a slight hoot and looked up seeing a tawny owl with a letter about its leg. Taking the letter and opening it, she realized it was the Hogwarts leters.
Reading the letter she almost screamed. "I'VE GOT HEAD!" She yelled out in shock, she was head girl for her year. Head Girl! She wondered who Head Boy would be and assumed James would not be him, if it was James she would probably feint or blink at him repetatively saying "thats impossible!" Because it really was impossible.
She smiled and heard the door bell ring, walking to the door and opening it she smiled welcoming all the visitors into the home, it wasn't like James's parents would mind. They were constantly off on buisness, which made it possible for them to--well, have many moments alone in their large home. One morning, she had woken and found him gazing at her, and as she stood up, he walked over and planted a kiss on her lips. That was the day she realized she had feelings for him. The day she realized she actually was quite fond of James Potter.

Personality: Lily is a tough girl she's not the type to sit back and watch someone get tortrured however she will fight with old friends like Severus Snape if they call her nasty names like "mudblood".

Mary heard Lily and groaned “Lily why? Do you hate me? MJ on sweets is a nightmare.” She took in a deep breath. “She gets nightmares when she has too many sweet then I end up sharing a bed and don’t get any beauty sleep.” She said with a smile.
When Maylin saw the kiss she giggled. “JAMES AND LILY AR-“ suddenly she felt as if a hand was covering her mouth and she saw Mary.
Mary shook her head. “remember what we talked about.” And she nodded. “Don’t say anything then.” She nodded once more and she allowed Maylin to talk.
“I’m a dummy!” she told Mary and hit her head “Dummy.” She uickly said and continued to walk. “Sorry Mary." She said and then heard Peter. "PETER KUN!!!" Maylin yelled and ran towards him giving him a hug. "I got you a gift from the places I traveled." she told him while pulling him towards Lupin.
Alex didn't respond, so Lily being Lily took it as a personal attack on her well choices, so turning away she sat down at the table. Almost the instant she sat the food appeared. "Brilliant, I'm famished."
"Why would you think I hate you MJ?" Lily asked giggling somewhat as she sat down at the table.
Lily heard Remus's shocked voice at the free reign on Snape and laughed. "I know not in my nature right - well I also include Cat Valentijn in there because she really physically hurt me earlier."
"Mary I'm open to talking about him but anyone who doesn't offer help when you are lying with your head on a large stone does not seem nice to me. And don't forget he called both of us you know whats and when I went to confront him about it he called me one and said he didn't need a stupid girl to help him." Lily rolled her eyes. "But i'll talk with you." she smiled nicely.
Peter hearing that Gin might have liked Sirius was the tip of the proverbial iceberg. He was pretty much one more push closer to snapping and making himself look like he deserved a permanent spot at Mungos for life. Which mentally, he might have deserved that since he was born. He thought he did, and thats all he needed to know.
Why are they dating? Why did she turn me down? Why did Cat turn me down when I asked her out? Why did Mary? Why Did MJ? Why did every girl and even rat turn me down? Ye he had been turned down so much that he'd turned to his Rodent form to get dates. Didn't pan out because he smelled too human as they put it to him.

With room on his other side, he signalled to Maylin to sit there.

Sitting down next to Lily, James immediately tucked into the food that was sitting on the tables so deliciously.
"So what did everyone do on the holidays?" James asked, after finishing his first bite.
Lily laughed. "Hmm let me see what I did," she thought dramatically for a moment, and burst into laughter. "I got sent to Godrics Hollow and can I say it is the most beautiful town ever, I mean the church is so quaint." She smiled. Sighing as she thought of the summer, and the job she'd held at a local bar. James wasn't so happy maybe because guys flirted with the ginger all the time.
"And I worked at this small tavern pub, really nice there was this guy there Mickey, the owners son he was amazingly adorable. Just the sweetest little thing - five years old and he'd always give me flowers. Mainly Lily's." She laughed, "And he would say, here's your name."

"That kid was pretty adorable, I remember once he came up to me and told me to give you some lilies because he reckoned that I wasn't being nice enough to you." James replied, laughing at the memory of the five year old.
Though James was almost jealous at the attention the five-year old had given Lily. He was meant to be the one giving Lily the lillies all the time, not Mickey!
"Yes he was adorable Mr. Jealous-one" Lily laughed, nudging him in the shoulder. "Mick told me you told him not to give me as many flowers," Lily laughed, "so he ended up giving me one an hour - got a little tedious while carrying things." She laughed.
Leaning over she kissed James on the cheek.

James scowled. "I told him that he wasn't meant to tell you." His scowl turned into more of a smile as she kissed him on the cheek.
Remus laughed at the look on James' face. "I know how to change your mood now. Get Lily to kiss you and you become happier within seconds!" Remus joked.
Alex chuckled. "No thanks." He loved chocolate but he really wasn't in the mood right now. You knew it was bad if Alex was turning down chocolate. He never ever turned down chocolate.
He noticed that Lily left and then how the food appeared. He let out a sigh and put some food on his plate and just stared down at it. Gin was still seated next to him and he knew that he should eat, but he really didn't feel like it.
And then he made the mistake of looking up from his food. Lily and Potter were already acting all cutesy and stuff. Alex did not want to put up with this. "Gin, I'm gonna go back to the common room. I'm not hungry." He pushed himself up from the table and headed back to the common room. If he got hungry, he could go get food from the kitchens.

Austin wandered around the school looking for some of his friends but couldnt see any of them were some of them in the common room or where were they he slouched against the wall of the corridor he was in and sighed
Gin looked up to Alex, sighing she said "Alright Alex, I'll see you up there then?" Gin called over to him - knowing full well he could probably hear her as he hadn't yet made it to the doors to the entrance hall.

Cat walked out of the common room and found Austin. "Hello Austin, love," she smiled as she always met friends with love it was her way of saying yes I do care about you and won't trip you into a stone wall like I do everyone else in this stupid school. "Thank you, Austin, you know I love you right?" Cat asked batting her eyelashes as she said this. Cat, despite being mean to 99.999% of the school's vast population was incredibly nice to people she liked. And Austin Mark Healy was one of those select few graced with her well, kinder words.
"Thanks Austin, and you know I'd jinx anyone who tried to hurt you."

"Pete you ok?" Sirius asked noticing the distant appearance of his fellow marauder as he sat down at the house tabel with the group. His attention was eventually drawn back to James as he asked what everyone had done over the summer. "Well as James Lily and Gin know...I'm officially a free agent from my family...mum had a fit and kicked me out of the family. Good riddence," the former Black informed the rest of the surrounding Gryffindor friends. He knew Mary and Maylin would have no knowledge of the events since whatever rumors that had been sent no doubt stayed within the pure blood crowd.
The animangus chuckled at the mention of the events at the pub having been included in them. On one occasion James had tricked him into coming as a dog and he had almost gotten taken home as a rescued stray before his friend and Lily had stepped in to claim him. "Yeah that boy certain had a liking to dear Lily."

"I'm done." James said once he had finished eating. Looking at his three friends, Remus, Peter and Sirius, James grinned. "Ready for some pranking? I already have an idea planned!"
Standing up, James smirked evilly. This prank was going to be fun.
Remus didn't even have to think about it before he nodded. "I'm in, what is it?" He asked, standing up also. Grabbing an apple before they could leave, Remus continued to eat it as he waited to find out the prank.
Austin smiled and said "Yeah Cat i know that and cool just try and get Potter for me as he is always mean to me"
"Aw, thanks Austin -" she smiled as she walked into the Great hall. Her eyes falling on a healed & giddy looking Lily Evans, sitting next to James Potter. Were they? No, they couldn't be dating could they?

Peter looked up to Sirius and flashed him a nervous smile, "Oh I'm fine, just fine Padfoot thanks for asking." He tried to force a cheery smile and failed miserably instead, he ended up looking like he was looking at his next meal - it was a known fact that Peter had a hard time showing emotions.
"Just thinking how lucky you guys are to all have girls - and lookie here," he pointed as he spotted Cat, he needed to look like he wasn't playing for the other team now didn't he?
Gin looked up to Sirius and smiled, yes she did know what was going on in Sirius's life that summer but only because she ahd recently been told. Gin had been told by Lily about Sirius nearly being adopted and smiled, "Glad that things didn't get out of hand, if you know what I mean."

Lily smiled as Sirius commented on the boy really liking her, "Yeah he also took a linking to you mate - thought i'd have to get a crow bar and pry him off." She laughed, knowing he, Gin, and James would understand.
"Don't severely hurt anyone though" Lily called out feebly, she knew James would do as he liked really. It was who James was - he was after all, a notorious pranker.

Cat smiled over to Austin, "Well I think I'm going to go and ignore them." she smiled, "how about you?" Her eyes flicking mischiviously to the Gryffindor table, and then the Slytherin as if she wanted to decide it she would attack them or ignore them. Turning she head to her table - she chose ignore.

At first she had hated the confusion, but grew accustom to it. “MJplus sugar equals a very sleepy mary.” She told her and sighed and sat down on the opposite side of the table that way she could still see Lily.” Hey Lil’s he did once, and was teased…” she mumbled and took a bite from her bread. She felt bad for severus even though he had called her a mudblood, but still no one deserved to be left out. ‘I forgave me him a while ago, not sure who is holding a grudge.” She stood up and went over to Maylin . “No Sweet remember that.” And with those words she sat back down.

Remus was laughing at Maylin. "If you can't have sugars and sweet,s that takes away a lot, including fruit. Or are you only counting unnatural sugars? Besides, you need some sugar. Otherwise you'll go crazy... crazier..."
He gave her a smile.
James huffed. "Come on, stop socialising! We have a major prank to do!" He said, hurrying his friends. Kissing Lily on the lips quickly, he raced out of the Great Hall, wanting to get the main ingredient of his fantastic prank.
Austin grinned at Cat and said "I am going to ignore them too Cat"
Cat nodded, "Good plan then I think" Cat smiled, taking a seat at the slytherin table.

Lily smiled when James kissed, her but she felt sad - sort, of when he left. Another part of her was relieved, the old Lily that is. She was relieved that she could sit and talk candidly about her ex-best friend with her best mates.
"Mary, Mj I know it got confusing for the two of you both having M names but thats why I call you Mj, and you Mary-Mac!" Lily explained with laugh.
Peter looked up to Maylin and sighed, "I'm sorry Maylin, I didn't mean to ignore you or anything I was just deep in thought..." he chuckled, seeing unbelievably kind in that moment.
"And, you can just call me Peter, or Pete if you'd like."
Ginerva, looked up at Sirius and smiled. "Well Mr. Free-Agent also known as Padfoot we should hang out sometime and play some exploding snap or even go for a bit of a fly." Gin smiled running a hand through her hair.
Then with a quick laugh - as James ran from the great hall she added a quick, "We'll if you guys need help with any pranks don't forget to count me in!"
