48. Unbreakable Vow- I Forever Promise You

Two days before their wedding, midst all the craziness preparing for the wedding, Harry caught Ginny alone. Hermione was with him.

Ginny frowned at them and asked, "What are you two up to?"

Harry replied, "I've asked her to be the spell caster." Hermione nodded reluctantly--it was clear that she didn't agree with this.

"What spell, Harry?" Ginny asked confused.

"I want to make an unbreakable vow to you--to show you that you are my lifeblood and if anything were to happen to me..."

Ginny smiled and leaned in to kiss him, "Oh, Harry. That's sweet of you but I know your heart and you don't have to make an unbreakable vow to me, alright?"

Harry leaned his forehead on hers and whispered, "If you're sure..."

Ginny laughed and hugged him, "Of course I'm sure. I know you remember? I don't need an unbreakable vow to know that for sure."

11. Expecto Patronum (plus mini challenge 23)- Love Is Powerful

Harry hated the fact that he had to work on Valentine's day 2001. He had planned something special for Ginny seeing that it would be their first Valentine's as a married couple, but here he was at Azkaban having to deal with a couple of rogue dementors instead.

He could feel the chill in the air from the presence of dementors. It was getting colder and colder. Harry had lost sight of his teammate, Summers, a while back and he knew that the longer he waited to cast the spell, the more influence the dementors would have on him.

Eventually, the dementor chill reached its worst- biting at his skin and penetrating all the way to his bones. Harry knew that it was now or never.

Gathering up his happiest memories of Ginny including the first time he had smelt the alluring smell of Amortentia and realized that he loved her--Harry shouted "Expecto Patronum!" and Prongs shining unbelievably bright shot out of his wand to chase away the chill and dementors.

1. Accio - Caught Red-Handed

James let out a happy squeal and bounced in place as Harry flew high in the sky.

The wind blew gently in their faces as both Potter men laughed with glee and enjoyed their time together.

Until..."ACCIO!"

With that, the Potter men found themselves caught in a spell being summoned unwillingly. Harry clutched James tightly to himself while grasping for his wand ready to do battle and defend his son.

The broom came to a stop a few inches above the ground in their backyard. With a sinking feeling, Harry knew that he was going to lose this battle.

"HARRY JAMES POTTER! WHAT WERE YOU THINKING TAKING OUR ONE YEAR OLD FLYING?" Ginny shrieked as she stomped up and grabbed James out of his arms.

She smothered him with kisses before turning to her husband who stood there sheepishly.

"Gin, he is fine-he quite enjoyed it! You're being too overprotective."

"He could have been seriously hurt! If you don't think so then I think that you should sleep on the sofa tonight." She declared before walking off.

Harry sighed. He hated when they fought over things like this.

20. Knitting Charm- Just Like Her Mum

Harry still could not believe it when Ginny told him that they were having a baby! A baby-- a little boy or girl who was going to be a perfect mix of him and Ginny.

He watched her calmly knitting something that looked cozy but that he couldn't say what it was either way. He could tell that she was going to become like her mum albeit not so much homebody like Molly was. But nonetheless, he knew that Ginny would be a great mum in her own right.

Ginny serenely smiled back at him as she caught his eye. She immediately turned her attention back to her knitting while Harry's attention went to remembering how she announced that she was expecting.

He had come home to find little knitted baby booties waiting for him. He picked them up wondering whose they were when she walked into the room and told him that they were their baby's.

All he remembered after that was grabbing her and kissing her senseless.

2. Avada Kedavra- The Final Battle

Ginny swore that her heart had stopped pumping as she saw Hagrid carry Harry's body into view. He couldn't be dead! They still had an entire lifetime to live together!

"NOO HARRY!" She heard someone scream close next to her. She didn't realize that it was her own scream.

Voldemort spoke but the words came out as if they were muted. Ginny would say that the next half an hour was a blur. Between Neville cutting down Naglini to the full on battle in the great hall.

Sound came buzzing back when Harry saved her mother and stood there looking as heroic as ever.

This time Ginny's heart raced as she prayed for Harry's survival in this one final battle.

She wanted to cheer when he finally defeated Voldemort for one final time and run to him. She didn't.

Instead, she waited for later when she joined him in his dormitory. She found him asleep. But before she could drift off to her own slumber, she whispered softly in his ear, "I love you."

Unbeknownst to her, Harry smiled in his sleep in response.

45. Tarantallegra

It is April Fool's day and you have already been pranked by your fellow Harpies--leaving your trademark Weasley red hair bright green. You're not thrilled about it even though your teammates swore up and down that the charm just lasts twenty four hours.

You arrive home to yours and Harry's flat. It is silent as a coffin seeing as Harry is still at work and you never meant to come home this early.

As you pile your stuff on the kitchen table-- you notice Harry's favorite muggle chocolate laying on the counter.

Smiling devilishly, you quickly cast a charm on the chocolate--leaving it there for him to find. It is April's Fool after all!

You only wait in the darkening flat about an hour before Harry apparates into the kitchen. You hold your breath as he notices the chocolate and picks it up to eat.

Trying not to giggle and alert him to your presence, you wave your wand in his direction.

Immediately, his legs start dancing of their own accord and you can't help yourself as you blast out laughing.

Harry isn't as thrilled but soon he joins your laughter.

7. Confundus- Emotional Pain

"Please! Stop! Please don't kill my babies!" Came a yell from the room through the half opened door.

Ginny sitting against the wall, closed her eyes in anguish, a tear escaping one eye. She couldn't believe that her proud and strong mother had been reduced to this. Molly Weasley certainly didn't deserve the pain of being confused about reality. It wasn't fair.

Harry walked up to her holding a glass of pumpkin juice and handed it to her, "Here, drink this. It will help."

Ginny took it and took a tiny sip. She then put the glass down and balanced it on her lap and stared into its depths.

After a moment, she said choking on a sob, "Oh, Harry. I can't believe that mom is suffering like this-- it is so terrible to see her so confused."

Harry gathered her close as she sobbed into his chest. He mumbled nonsense in her hair as he gently rocked her.

19. Jelly Legs

Shaky Feet

She was as graceful as a swan, her movements sure. Harry stood in the corner of the studio watching his love perform beautiful ballet movements. He hadn't known that Ginny had any background training in dance. Hell, he didn't know anyone from the Wizarding World who had such experience.

As Ginny finished a move and looked up into the mirror, her eyes caught his and she smiled.

"Hey!" She said and turned to give him a kiss. "You ready to dance?"

Harry glanced down at his worn trainers and glanced at her feet clothed in dainty dance shoes. He took a deep breath and replied, "Yes, I suppose."

Ginny laughed and grabbed his arm to pull him to the center of the room.

"Let's start with some simple moves. Just move your feet like this." She demonstrated what she meant.

It looked simple enough to him. Harry prepared to copy the movements but his legs didn't execute them correctly. They just shook and twisted around him. As if they were jelly.

Ginny laughed at his antics. Untwisting his legs, Harry smiled sheepishly at her.

35. Quietus- Time Doesn't Heal All Wounds

Every year, on October the 31st, Ginny knew that for the better part of the day, Harry would disappear. The first time he had done so, she panicked thinking that someone had kidnapped him until Hermione told her where he was. She told her that he would visit his parents' graves and it was a sad reflective time for him. Hermione said sighing of course that she only knew about it because of one October 31st when she had gone to lay flowers on the Potters' grave and there she found Harry.

Since that time, Ginny left Harry be and just held him when he came home.

But even she found that with every decade that passed, on that October 31st anniversary, Harry would withdraw within himself even more. As if the passing time was a battlefield that he had lost on.

Today was October 31st 2021 and the fourth decade anniversary of Lily and James Potter's death. And she knew exactly where Harry would be.

33. Point Me- Why Do You Do This to Us?

Harry couldn't believe that Ginny had been kidnapped yet again by some evil dark wizard. He had been up all night using the "Point me" spell trying to pinpoint her location but it was no use whatsoever.

The dark ominous trees of the forest he was currently in did not offer up any clues and Harry was getting desperate so utterly desperate!

"Why do you have to do this to us?!" He yelled up to the heavens, "Isn't enough that for seven straight years, you had me fight a whole slew of evil doers, the main one being Lord Moldiepants. Why can't you give me a break?! PLEASE!"

To his surprise and shock, the trees parted and there sitting tied up with magical rope was Ginny.

Harry quickly untied her and hugged her. Then he grinned up to the heavens and said, "Thanks!"

And from the heavens, a female English voice replied, "You're welcome. I do apologize for everything."

50. Waddiwasi- Do Not Make a Female Weasley Angry!

Harry had no idea when they had gotten into this weird situation. He hid before their living room couch occasionally aiming his wand in the direction of Ginny's Bat-Bogey Hexes wordlessly casting Waddiwasi trying to throw anything he could to distract her.

The whole thing had started when he had been held up at the Auror Headquarters and was late getting home for their anniversary. Okay...he could admit to himself that he had accidentally forgotten their wedding anniversary and coming home to an all dressed up Ginny waiting for him and being surprised about their plans. He was ashamed of himself and totally deserved the first ten Bat-Bogey Hexes but the next fifty he felt were uncalled for.

And that is how Harry Potter found himself spending his wedding anniversary defending himself from his enraged wife's well-aimed curses.

30. Oppugno- Don't Mess with Ginny Potter

One thing that Harry loved about Ginny but never would admit it to her face was the fact that she was extremely and furiously protective of their three. He took a lot of delight out of what she would do to reporters when they would try and get an exclusive of the kids or all of them as a family.

One particular moment that he absolutely adored was when she had cast the Oppugno spell on one very obnoxious reporter who wouldn't take a hint. In one split second, all of his equipment plus a few well aimed Bat-Bogey Hexes were all chasing him down the street. Knowing his wife's magical power, Harry doubted that the spells would stop soon.

As the reporter run away from them, Harry recalled that he laughingly called out, "If you can't take the heat, don't tickle the dragon!"

Fortunately for them, the other reporters did take the hint and never bothered the family again.

49. Wingardium Leviosa- Organized

Harry smiled at his young bride as he carried her over the threshold of their new home. "What do you think?"

"I think that it is just wonderful and all ours!" Ginny Potter grinned.

He put her back on the floor and looked around.

"We have a lot of work to do!" He said with a frown.

Ginny smirked as she got out her wand and cast the Wingardium Leviosa charm and made the disorganized furniture flying all around the room before settling in their rightful place. "Good thing we are magical, right?"

She laughed at Harry's expression. Apparently he had forgotten that!

With Harry's added help, they got the house organized quickly.

3. Braking Charm- Ginny's First Driving Lesson

Harry had always been connected to the muggle world because of his upbringing, even electing to get a driver's licence and a car. After years of nagging her, Ginny finally agreed to take driving lessons from Harry, 'just in case' she needed to use the car for anything.

"And those are your side mirrors one on each side--you can look to see if there are any other cars. Alright? Okay. Now let's drive." Harry said leaning back in the passenger seat.

Nervously, Ginny did what he had instructed her and the car started to move, slowly picking up speed as they rolled down the hill.

"HARRY! What do I do?!" Ginny yelled panicked.

"Use the brakes!" He shouted.

"Which one are they?!"

See no choice, Harry quickly used his wand to cast the braking charm, thereby bringing the car to a complete stop.

The two of them sat in the car trying to get their breathing under control before Ginny said, "I'm just sticking to broomsticks from now on if that is alright with you."

Harry just nodded.

4. Blasting Curse- Beware of Pregnant Women

Harry James Potter didn't know what he had said wrong because next thing he knew, he was being cursed to an inch of his life.

"ARE YOU CALLING ME FAT?!!" His very pregnant and angry wife, Ginny yelled at him as she waved her wand to send . "YOU did this to ME!" she continued pointing to her bulging belly.

"I didn't mean it like that, Gin. I think that you're are so beautiful. OW!! Please stop!" Was all that Harry could say as Ginny threw blasting curse after blasting curse at him.
