14. Hogwarts, A History

Delody sat together in the common room, curled up on the sofa in front of the nice blazing fire.

"Cody?" Delanie asked, frustrated that Cody was being so silent. "What ARE you reading?"

Turning a page, he looked up innocently. "Hogwarts, A History."

Perplexed Dee sat up, looking at him oddly. "Why?"

Cody rolled his eyes as if it were the obvious thing in the world. "Because. I'm trying to see if we've been added in as the cutest couple. Duh."

Delanie chuckled, leaning up to give him a quick kiss. "Hm. Hogwarts, a History. Here we come."

Cody chuckled.

# 25 Sorting Hat

Cody moved to sit on the sorting stool, looking a little nervous. A professor put the hat on his head and stepped back.

Delanie, on the other hand, stood off to the side, biting her bottom lip anxiously. Cody just had to be in-

“Hufflepuff!” The sorting hat exclaimed.

“Yes!” Dee squealed, jumping up and down in her excitement. Cody was going to be in the same house as she. That was awesome.

“Looks like you’re stuck with me,” Cody laughed, holding his arms open.

Lanie flung herself into his arms and he hugged her tight. “Thank the glitter goddesses.”

89. Past

Cody and Delanie sat curled up in front of the hufflepuff common room fire, both content with being wrapped in their own thoughts.

But a certain question had been on Dee's mind, "Handsome? Can I ask you something?"

"Anything."

"What was your past like?"

Cody's face tensed, and he went stiff, glaring at the flames of the fire as the light danced across his now hard features. "My past? I was the man of the house. I was forced to grow up. It all sucked." All because of Sean Russell.

Dee snuggled into his side, kissing his cheek. "I'm sorry."

# 9 Defense Against the Dark Arts

“You know, you never told me what your favorite class was, Dee.”

Cody and Delanie sat huddled together in the library, doing homework for once. Shocker. Both were hunched over their parchment with quills in hand, scribbling away furiously.

“Defense Against the Dark Arts,” Delanie answered.

Cody looked up from his paper to stare at her, dumbfounded. “Really?”

“Yes, because it has always been a personal dream of mine to become all powerful and knowledgeable and stuff so I could go and take down all the evil in the world,” she snickered.

“I should’ve known you weren’t serious,” Cody quipped.

87. Plaid

Cody made his way down into the common room, where he was meeting Dee for their date down in Diagon Alley. Smiling as he adjusted his brand new plaid shirt, he stared at himself proudly in a mirror.

Sheesh, he was hot.

Dee entered to find her boyfriend, vainly looking at himself, and though usually she would make a sarcastic yet loving remark, tonight she could only gape.

"Cody, what ARE you wearing?" his shirt was the most hideous shade of green, it looked almost like puke.

Definitely not acceptable for any boyfriend of Dee's.

"You look better in red."

# 5 Astronomy

Delanie and Cody laid together, their backs on the ground. Their faces were tilted up as they gazed at the stars.

“Did you know we’re doing homework?” Delanie said, interrupting the silence.

“How?” Cody questioned.

“We’re studying the stars – Astronomy,” Dee answered.

Cody snorted. “That hardly qualifies as homework. It’s not even the work you were assigned.”

Delanie shrugged. “It’s good enough.” She gasped as a star shot across the sky.

“Did you make a wish?” Cody asked.

“Nope.”

Cody turned over to face her. “Why not?

“Because I already have everything I want – no need to wish for more.”
