25. Sorting Hat

"Weasley, Ginny!" called Professor Mcgonagall.

Harry watched as Ginny walked coolly towards the stool. She put on the hat and it spoke quietly for her to hear.

"Ah! There is lot of ambition I see, would do good for Slytherin" the hat paused, "But your courage dominates everything. You are quite a different Weasley I have seen"

"Better be, GRYFFINDOR!" it yelled.

Ginny smirked and walked to the Gryffindor table. She sat down and immediately mingled with the others around. The lions congratulated her.

She turned towards Harry's direction once and he gave her a thumbs up and she smiled.

19. Wand

"I can do this mom" she pleaded, "Please, I can do this, alone" Molly sighed and left Ginny outside the Ollivanders. Ginny entered the shop, feeling confident.

Ollivander sensed the presence. "Ah, Miss Weasley" he smiled as he picked few wands. "Let's find your wand now, shall we?" He placed a wand on the desk.

Ginny picked it up and gave a swish. The reaction was immediate and spontaneous. Sparks of gold and red flew from the wand.

Ginny had clicked with her very first try. "Well done, Miss Weasley" Ollivander gave her the wand.

"Yew, Unicorn hair, 9¼", Springy"

53. Chase

Harry watched the calm lake. He was feeling rather pleased with himself. Ron sat beside him, babbling about the Cannons, but he didn't here any of them.

"Hey, Harry!" Harry saw Hermione hurrying towards them. She was having something in her hand. Harry's eyes widened on seeing it.

She stopped at a distance away. "Keeping secrets from me Harry?" she asked with an evil little smile. "Your diary" she said and ran.

His diary. His thoughts. His Ginny.

"Hermione, stop!" Harry called and chased her without a second thought.

"It takes more than a lion to chase me!" she yelled loudly.

21. Veela

He had been watching her for a while around the school. Harry had been bumping into Ginny all the time, for he was following her, spying her.

It seemed only like yesterday that he had seen her, that small girl eager to go through the platform. He had known that she did fancy him. But she never knew that he did too.

She had grown into an enchanting young woman and had tremendous effect on Harry. Nothing like a Veela could do to someone. So powerful were her looks, her smile.

Even her mere presence made Harry shy and nervous.

73. Warn

Hermione was indeed supporting his feelings for Ginny. It took Harry by surprise when she was appreciative. He expressed his insecurity about Ginny's change of mind or any such possibility. But she consoled him and confirmed that Ginny still liked him. He had his concerns but Hermione had hers too.

"Harry, you need to consider him. After all, he is her brother!" she squeaked one fine afternoon.

Harry felt a tinge of guilt pass through his mind.

"You are warned Harry" she was serious. "Better tell him before he finds out. It would hurt him less."

Harry nodded and sighed.

94. Allergic

Ginny wandered in the grounds observing the movements of plants and sounds of birds. She spotted a heart shaped leaf and couldn't help but think of Harry.

She had been quite allergic to hearts and silence until when Harry came into her life. She was instantly drawn to him, like a sunflower to the sun.

She had once written a letter to him beginning "My Dearest..." and was left left unfinished for she feared its outcome.

Her allergy for love vanished when she had set her eyes on Harry. A face she would remember forever, even if everything else fades.

55. Egg on

As Ginny started to crack the eggs into a bowl, Harry appeared in the doorway and walked up to her.

Ginny cracked the last of the eggs, then poured water and oil. "Can you stir?" she asked. "I need to get the dishes done before mum comes"

Harry nodded, took the spoon from her and began to stir. When the ingredients were mixed, she lifted the spoon. "You can lick it"

Harry licked it, timidly at first, then with growing intensity as chocolate covered his lips and chin.

"Ah, beauty" she grinned as she wiped the chocolate off his face.

49. Yule Ball

The music played mildly in the background. Harry placed his hands on her waist and she held his shoulders. Both of them blushed deep pink as they began to glide.

Ginny's moves were graceful while Harry's calculated. Harry became nervous with each move. It was too silent that he could hear his heart beating wildly.

Ginny looked too pretty, Harry couldn't resist it. He broke off from the dance and moved closer to her. She took in his smell and closed her eyes while he kissed her cheek.

"I love you" he said softly in her ears. Ginny blinked, shocked.

59. Ignore

Harry was aghast. He cursed himself as he stared at the fire place in the empty common room. His thoughts lingered in the Burrow, in the little dance. "You shouldn't have done it, you fool" he spoke to himself.

"You weren't wrong" Harry turned in surprise. Hermione appeared from behind a chair. "And you definitely aren't a fool" she smile.

"But.." Harry started.
"But you're ignoring her is very wrong" she spoke with a visible frustration.

Yes. Harry had been ignoring and staying away from Ginny. For he couldn't loose Ron.

"What's the point? Like this drabble we are in?"

86. Daring

Being at the Burrow is always the best for Harry. He had several banquets with the Weasleys. Fred and George couldn't wait to show Harry their new inventions.

"It's the latest Harry" said George.
"And the best" said Fred.
"Probably, the deadliest" added Ginny.
"Shut up you" Fred cast her an ugly look. "Go on Harry"
"Try it" persuaded George.

Seeing them too interested in getting him to eat it, Harry sensed mischief. "Wouldn't hurt much I guess" he said and daringly took a bite of the rock-greenish substance.

He froze the moment he took it, only his eyeballs moved.

13.Quidditch

“A bright summer day” said Ron.
“A Quidditch day” corrected Fred.
Harry, Hermione and the Weasleys were at the Burrow, enjoying their vacation. Every day was a fun day at the Burrow.

Weasleys and Harry mounted their brooms. Hermione cast them a dirty look.

“You’re not going to stop us, eh?” asked George in a menacing tone.
“Come on, Mione” said Ginny as she snatched Hermione’s book. “You’re going to fly with us today”
Hermione gave a shocked expression. “No, I’m not”
But she was on the broom with Harry before she could even say ‘Quidditch’

30. Feast

They were all in the Common Room. The room was filled with laughter and fun. It was celebration time. The Gryffindors had won the final Quidditch match of the season against Slytherin and there was no one to stop them from celebrating. Fred, George and Ron had smuggled loads of food from the kitchen. It was a feast.

Harry could feel Ginny's eyes fastening on him. She had been moving at him all through the celebration.

Before going to bed, Ginny gave him a mighty hug and planted a kiss on his cheek.
"You did well" she said.

77. Cheerful

They were at the lake again. Harry was around that Weasley much. Perhaps because he didn't want anyone else to be. She picked up a pretty flower, sat beside him and twirled it. She was mesmerized by its beauty, forgetting the time rolling by. She closed her eyes. A faint smile danced on her lips. Harry watched her silently.

Ginny looked up as cool breeze touched her face gently, shifting the Weasley hair and highlighting her cheeks. Harry couldn't help but stare.

"I like them rosy" he said and Ginny blushed a gentle pink.

Always a charmer he was, Harry.

40. Spell

“Don’t you think it’s a bit too much?”
They heard that plain voice. Draco Malfoy was standing a few feet away from them, along with his cronies. Harry let out a groan and Ginny looked quite flushed.

“What’s it Weaslette?” he said in triumphant voice, “Trying to secure family?”
“Just shut up Malfoy” Harry couldn’t hide the hatred in his voice.
“Well, I can’t--” He was blasted off the ground, soaring high, he landed on the other side of the pitch.
“I love you’re blasting spells” said Harry as they made their way out.

84. Angry

"I DON'T WANT YOUR ADVICE RONALD WEASLEY!" shrieked Ginny.
The whole Common Room turned to watch the siblings. Ron's ears turned a dark shade of red.

"But you're not mature enough" he said timidly.

"I KNOW WHAT TO DO" she said, her voice still high. "IF YOU CAN'T TAKE THE HEAT, DON'T TICKLE THE DRAGON!" With that, Ginny stormed into the girls dormitory.

"What is it Ron?" asked Harry, who had been silent throughout. They had been arguing right from dinner in the Great Hall and he had no idea.

"She's into some kind of dare against Malfoy" he spat.

20. Hogsmeade

It was the best Hogsmeade trip ever according to Harry. As usual he was at the Three Broomsticks with Ron and Hermione, drinking butterbeer and discussing how pathetic Malfoy was. An usual Hogsmeade day. But today, Ginny was there. Ginny and her friends were attracting a lot of attention and Harry couldn’t help but stare at her, no one could suspect him.

There she was, standing up on her chair, imitating all the people she knew. She gave a piercing look at Harry before she started to imitate him. Harry grinned as she made a perfect imitation of him. Perfect.

15. Room

You can’t remember since when this has been happening. You know nothing of it, just that you’re eyeing the youngest Weasley. Eyeing her with an interest, that was never before found in you. You seem to be there wherever she is, give some room for thoughts. Others don’t see it but you know why you’re there. The reason, you are following her, craving for her attention, wanting to see her all the time. But you should know that everything is so wrong, like this is most vile thing you’re doing. You should not be thinking about Ginny. Not this way.

32. Common Room

Hermione was sitting in a cozy arm chair near the fire-place in the Gryffindor Common Room, reading Advanced Arithmancy. She sensed Harry coming, gave him a signal to wait for a moment while she finished the paragraph. She caught the look on Harry’s face, she closed the book immediately.

“What’s the matter, Harry?” she asked, gently.
“Hermione… It’s… I’m….” he struggled.
“Yes?” She took his hands as he sat down beside her in another armchair.
Hermione waited but no words came from Harry.

“Is it about Ginny?” she asked him. Harry looked at her, his eyes looking distraught, and nodded.

29. Pensieve

“Now how do you just do that?” asked Ron.
“Do what exactly?” asked Hermione indignantly.
They were back in their common room and Hermione
had been reciting the passage for charms test.

“Remember every little thing?” His voice was a mixture of frustration and awe.
Hermione merely smiled.
“One should be allowed a pensieve, really, it’s so hard to remember everything like you do” he said, putting his quill down. He turned to Harry who was staring at the fire-place.

“And this one really needs a pensieve” he pointed to Harry, breaking his thoughts about.

“Huh?” Harry hadn’t heard anything.

1. Herbology

"You're really very bright" mused Harry.
"Like the sunflower?" said Ginny, smiling coyly.
"Come on, you're much more macho" And Harry had to duck to avoid her little thrash. They had a laugh.

Her hand found his and both sat in silence for a few minutes.
"So the sunflower is for the sun?" Harry asked.
"Yes, only for that guy" she sighed.

"Look, if you ever feel doubtful about me, look out of the window, if the sun is there I'm.. If not I'll come back next day" he said, intent on making his point clear.

"I know, my love"

2. Muggle Studies

“How do you switch on this thing, Mione?” she yelled from inside the room.
“Oh Ginny, I’ve told you several times!” she said exasperated, as she entered the room and snatch the hair drier from Ginny.
“You switch it on… like this” Hermione handed it to Ginny.

“Why can’t I just use magic?”
“Ask Harry about that”
“Oh I will, and I hope he’s enjoying waiting for me” she said with a smile.
They were going for a date, a very late one, thought Hermione.

“Don’t get him tensed though, and have a good time” and she left the room.

7. Care of Magical Creatures

Cho settled next to Harry at the Gryffindor table and she placed her hand on his shoulder.
Plop.
Harry dropped his salad piece into the pumpkin juice. It splashed all over Cho’s face and dress, Ron sniggered. So did Ginny sitting two seats away.

“Oh Harry, you’re a real animal” said Cho taking a napkin to clean her face. “Hope your wife is a Care of Magical Creatures specialist”

“Uh..sorry, Cho.” He took another napkin and wiped the juice off her hands.

“And people say I’m good at Care of Magical Creatures” she continued.
Ginny eyed Cho with complete disgust.

5. Astronomy

They were in the Room of Requirement again. It was Harry's favourite place to hang out, with Ginny. He'd be away from all the stares and grins that people gave the pair of them. He sat on the couch and Ginny huddled near him.

"Say, if you're to give me something, what would you give?" asked Ginny, out of the blue.
Harry thought for a while.
"A hug, maybe..hmm, or I would give you the moon" he said. Ginny laughed.
"Ok, that's a bit selfish of me, maybe a moon rock?"

And they sat there until past midnight, making merry.

62. Amortentia

Back at the Potions class, they had been dealing with Amortentia and Harry caught an unknown yet familiar smell. It was sweet and flowery. He knew that it attracted him very much, ofcourse, with it showing up. The trio traced back to the common room with Harry thinking about what it could be.

“There you are, Harry!” called Ginny, as she ran towards him. “Luna has been searching for you all around. She’s gonna show you something” she said, as she took Harry’s hand and dragged him out.

Before he could protest, he caught that flowery smell again and gasped.

31. Dress robes

There was no mistaking the look on Harry’s face. Awe. His eyes followed the youngest Weasley as she descended the stairs with perfect style and air of confidence. The dress robes fitted her well, accentuating her good looks. Any man would kill to be at her side and hold her hand.

She walked past Harry, giving him her capturing smile and went to Dean Thomas. Harry, for a moment, couldn’t explain the amount of loathing he felt for the guy.

She took Dean’s hand and walked out of the common room. Harry stared with a tinge of jealousy crawling inside.
