Sitting on a bench at the terrace, Lux was happily talking to her friend, Lucas about delicious cucumber sandwiches when she saw something that made her blood boil.

A. Girl. Sucking. Face. With. Adeline’s. Kissing. Buddy.

Why would anyone ever kiss a boy? It was totally disgusting, and the thought of kissing Lucas or any other member of the male species made her want to vomit. Any boy who kissed her would get punched in the face; not that they would ever dare to do that. Despite her size, Lux was a feisty girl and could throw a good punch.

Bundled up in her thick, warm coat, Lux made her slow trek towards the lake. It had been a while since she had last tried to get the Giant Squid to come to the surface, so she figured now was a good time to try another loud rendition of Under the Sea.

Approaching the dock, she spotted a familiar person sitting on the edge; silently walking towards her friend Louis, she took a seat beside him.

What happened next could only be described as pure impulse: grabbing his face in her hands, she gave him a kiss on the lips.

How could something as simple as kissing a friend on the lips cause so much drama?

One second Lux was sitting alone with Louis, the next Sander was threatening the boy, Tessa was staring at her in shock, and Bay was walking off, upset.

Okay, when did her friends get here? And why were they acting like she had done something terrible?

Getting up, she started after Bay so that she could explain, but he had started crying into Sander and flipping out at Louis. Why was he so angry? It was something she had done in a friendly way.

Once again Lux let impulse overtake her.

This time it was her friend, Donny. They were sitting on a bench in the terrace near the Herbology Professor’s office; she took a pink lollipop from him with a smile on her face. He was so very kind to her, and he was a great friend. She really liked him.

Without even thinking, she found herself pushing her lips against his before quickly withdrawing again, blushing in case he minded. His smile reassured her that everything was okay.

That was until Louis came out from the bushes. “I saw what you did.”

Sitting on a stool in the kitchens, Lux watched as a house elf brought a plate full of cookies over to her. Eyes widening, she grinned; nothing beat having fresh cookies and a glass of milk.

Picking a cookie up off of the plate, she dunked it in her glass so that it was covered in milk before taking a bite and savouring it. What did she do before coming to Hogwarts? Seriously the best food she had ever eaten came from these kitchens.

It took hardly any time at all for her to finish off every single one.

Bart had told her to read the last article in the Aparecium.

Plopping herself down in a comfy chair by the fireplace in the Hufflepuff Common Room, Lux prepared for the worst. But it was not nearly as bad as she had expected it to be. As she read what was said about her, she had to laugh.

Gold digger? Sugar daddy?

Lux was not in the least bit ashamed that she had kissed Bay. The Aparecium could write whatever they wanted to about her, she did not regret doing it.

Who had been snooping on them? Was it Louis?

Sitting in her sister’s bedroom, the young girl looked out the window at the gorgeous beach. This was definitely a perk to Willa’s living in a Florida beach house; she could go swimming even in the middle of winter.

“Why don’t we forget this whole thing and go surfing?” Small smile as she looked uncertainly at the makeup kit that Willa had taken out the moment before.

“Relax, Lux. I will make you look great.” Not as good as Willa did though. Willa really was a Veela among ordinary looking women.

“You have to eat the whole sandwich in order for the bet to be off.”

Eagerly, Lux sat on the grass watching Bay and waiting to see if he would accept this deal. There was nothing wrong with cucumber sandwiches; in her opinion this was a very good way for him to get out of having to pay her ten Chocolate Frogs.

Initially it seemed he would refuse, but he agreed to her terms. This was amazing, and she continued to watch him excitedly.

Come on, eaaaat it, she thought to herself as she started to mentally egg on Bay.

That apple was disappearing into thin air.

Of course Lux knew that wasn’t what was really happening, but from what she could see the apple was floating in the air and disappearing into nothingness. Thestrals. Bad Omens. Creatures seen only by those who had witnessed and came to terms with death. Creepy but also rather interesting.

As she listened to Professor Thompson explain the mysterious creatures, Lux was suddenly tempted to reach out and try to touch it. Would she be able to feel it even without seeing death? Or would her hand merely pass through thin air?

So far this SNAC meeting had been rather uneventful.

Bay wasn’t around to keep her company, and the falling snow had covered up any tracks that she could have identified. The only highlight was when the Whomping Willow had decided to go nuts; that was always a treat, and so far no one had been hurt.

Seeing as Lux was smart enough to know that she wouldn’t be of any further use at the moment, she set about doing something she was good at: building a snowman.

There were few things that Lux loved more than s'mores, one obviously being her boyfriend and another being Chocolate Frogs.

Immediately after the tents had been set up, the redhead called for a fire to be started and marshmallows to be toasted. Watching hers carefully and turning the stick occasionally, she hummed a song from The Little Mermaid because it was her favourite movie.

Wondering how Jun and Justine were doing with theirs, she looked up to see the two sucking face. Normally she would ignore them, but there were s'mores on the line.

"You guys are burning the marshmallows."

Hogwarts wasn't the same without him.

Sighing, Lux stared at the blank piece of paper in front of her. She was supposed to be doing her homework, but all she could think about was Bay. Crumpled up wads of paper littered the floor by the study table and hopefully Mr. Kitridge wouldn't mind, but all she could think about was how much she missed her boyfriend.

People said that she should have seen it coming; that obviously she would miss him. They didn't understand. She had tried to prepare herself but it hadn't worked.

Hogsmeade weekend couldn't come fast enough.

Full of excitement, Lux made her way over to one of the tables near the back of The Three Broomsticks. She was meeting Bay and it felt like forever since the last time they saw each other even though it had only been a few weeks. Spending part of the Christmas holidays with him had been amazing.

Every few minutes she would turn her gaze to the door in anticipation of his arrival. He wasn't late, she was just so excited. Besides holidays, Hogsmeade weekends were the only times they got to see each other lately.

It made her sad.

Rubbing her eyes, Lux tried her hardest to stay awake but it was proving to be difficult. Her OWLs were fast approaching, and the closer they got the more stressed out she became.

Of all her classes it was Transfiguration that worried her the most, so she was reading all the books she could on the subject. They were soooo long and boring that she had no idea how to retain any of the information.

Maybe she could ask Professor Bellaire some questions, but the woman scared her. What if she said something wrong and got yelled at? Or detention?

Hands slightly shaking, Lux stared at the envelope she was holding.

Contained inside was a piece of paper which could spell success or failure as far as her career dreams were concerned. The very thought of it made her feel as if a panic attack was coming on. Ugggggh, she was nervous and hated it.

Calm down, Lux. If nothing else there is still NEWTs...

Taking a few deep breaths, the redhead began to pace. Anything to keep herself from opening her OWL results. Why had she taken all twelve? Focusing on the six she needed would have been better.

Smiling, Lux made her way into the Potions Lab.

She had been working on something for the last while, and finally it was completed. Reaching into her bag, she carefully extracted a vial; inside was a single hair. A Gryffindor Prefect’s hair to be exact.

Here goes nothing, she thought to herself as she plopped it inside her boiling cauldron. If this worked, she would have an experience of a lifetime – and if she failed… Best not think about that. Driving those thoughts out of her mind, the redhead slowly poured some of the potion into a glass.

Package and letter in hand, Lux made the long trek from her common room to the owlery.

She had knitted a special present for her soon-to-be nephew: a pair of little baby socks. Hopefully Willa would like them. They were blue and had little yellow ducks on them. Ducks were so cute. Even though this was the first time she had made something like this, Lux felt that she had done a very good job.

Go her!

Whistling to Luna, she watched as the owl flew over. “Hey, girl! I have something for you to send to Willa and Jaxson.”

Oooh, yummy. A fruit platter.

Lux loved it when the elves left little treats for her in the kitchen. Well, she liked to pretend they were for her. Hehe.

Rubbing her hands in anticipation of the deliciousness, she wondered what she would start off with. Green grapes!! Oranges!! And apples!! "I can't forget about the strawberries! I love strawberries!"

Wait a second... Strawberries??

Lux frowned and looked around. "Hey, I'm allergic to strawberries!" Eyes on you, RPer. It was very mean to try and give her an allergic reaction when she hadn't taken the Antillergen Potion in over a year.

Ugggggh, things were NOT looking good right now.

On top of the fact that Acromantulas had kidnapped her and Cinna, Lux's wand was missing.

"Stupid spiders," she muttered under her breath. The last thing she wanted right now was for them to overhear that comment and decide to eat her right then and there.

She wasn't going to make it easy for them, which was why she had stopped eating as much as she could. At this point it was sheer adrenaline keeping her going.

As soon as she could perform magic again, Lux was setting fire to their butts.

Giggling, Lux ran into her brother's bedroom, mom's hair drier in hand. That was her laser and she was using it destroy the evil alien that was Mr. Mittens.

"Zap! Zap! Zap!"

She aimed her laser at the sleeping kitten, waking him up and causing him to run off with a small meow.

"Lux, what have I told you about taking my hair drier?" Her mom was standing in the doorway looking both stern and slightly amused; her child was only four, and she was already more than a handful.

"Sorry, mommy. I won't no more." Pout.

"Mom, can you pass the milk?"

Lux had just poured herself a big bowl of Lucky Charms because it was one of her favourite cereals. Not only did it contain marshmallows, but there was also a leprechaun on the box. How cool was that?

Smiling, she added the milk that her mom passed over and then began to eat. This was an exciting day because she was starting Hogwarts. Only problem was that her mom had started to cry.

"It's okay, mom. I promise I'll be good and write home every week." That only served to make her cry harder.

Box of assorted candies in hand, Lux made her way up to the owlery so that she could send a package to Bay. She had cleverly disguised the box so that Bay's parents would think that she was sending him all natural candies.

She did not like deceiving them, but she didn't really have much choice when they were so strict. Bay had a sweet tooth as big as hers, so he would need more candy even if he managed to get some on his own.

On the package she attached a note:
