Wow, it's been so long guys! I know I could apologize forever and it really wouldn't make a difference; I guess I was just uninspired. But I've already put too much effort into this to leave it hanging, so no matter how long it takes, I'm going to finish it. And with that in mind, here's the next update.

The hustle of the evening had died down and Selly had fallen asleep in the large sofa by the entrance as George and Camila were finishing up a log of the week’s sales. A few relatively tranquil days had passed since their lunch with Mrs. Hamilton, and although Camila knew her relationship with George was probably pushing the line, she hadn’t voiced any reservations. She couldn’t help it: every little bit of her was attracted to him, like a moth to light, she couldn't resist. Their casual touches ran like molten lava through her body; simple smiles and winks sent her stomach into impressive acrobatics. Like a 13-year-old schoolgirl, she had a major crush on George, as she’d finally forced herself to accept the previous night.

“What are you doing for dinner tonight?” George asked her out of blue.

Shrugging, she responded automatically, “Take-out, I suppose. I’m not much
of a cooker.”

“Mum’s absolutely taken with you, and she’s been bugging me to call
you over again. Why don’t you and Selly come have dinner with us?” His tone was casual, but an almost pleading look filled his warm brown eyes as he turned them towards her. How could she possibly resist?

Still, she bit her lip and replied, “What if she hasn’t cooked enough, I don’t want to-”

“Don’t worry about that, Mum always makes enough to feed an army of starving hippogriffs for a month.”

“Yeah?” She asked, hope lacing her voice.

“Yeah,” he replied softly, his voice dropping an octave as he looked at her murky eyes.

She swiped her hands on the back of her muggle jeans and said, “All right, I’m going to go home and change, and we’ll be there in…what time should we be there?”

“You don’t have to change, you look gor…I mean, you look presentable,” he amended, looking a little out of sorts.

Camila furrowed her brows, but then shook her head, “No, I won’t feel comfortable looking as if I don’t care how I show up to dinner. It will only take a few minutes, I swear, and then I’ll be right at your house. I remember where it is and Henry’s released me for the night, so I’ll be able to apparate there in no time.”

“Your boyfriend holds your powers of apparition?” George asked incredulously.

She shifted uncomfortably, “Um, kind of, yeah."

Stepping closer, George leaned down to bring his eyes to her eye-level as he asked, “Why did you let him?”

Camila stared back into his eyes, burning with something greater than just curiosity. Wanting to tell him, but knowing that she couldn’t, she turned her head away. As she did so, Camila missed the hurt flash through his eyes.
However, she didn’t miss his clipped tones as he said, “I’ll see you in a bit.”

“Wait, George!”

It was too late – he’d already disapparated.

Disappointed, but vowing to draw George aside and explain it to him at dinner, Camila picked up Selly in her arms and apparated home.

You have no idea how happy your quick response makes me! I actually already have the next part written, so it'll probably come up either tomorrow or the day after, depending on how much editing it needs.

Random Fact #16: Swallowed gum is not digested by the gastrointestinal system, it usually passes through within 24 hours.

In a matter of minutes, Camila had changed into a beige sundress with a modest neckline and that ended gracefully at top of her knees. Just as she was clipping on a pair of black studs to match the black belt and hem, Henry apparated into her room.

She gasped, startled, and then asked, “What are you doing here?”

“What, do I need permission to see my girlfriend now?” He sneered. Then he looked over her outfit. “Going somewhere, my dear?”

“Just-just to dinner, you know,” she stuttered.

“Dinner where?” He asked menacingly, stepping closer.

“With a really nice family,” she answered tentatively.

He raised his eyebrows. “Whose family?”

“A friend of mine – uh, Ginny Weasley.”

He stared at her speculatively, presumably trying to figure out whether she was telling the truth or not. Camila fought to keep her face void of all guilt.

Finally, after several agonizing moments, he inclined his head in acceptance.

“Well, that’s too bad for Ms. Weasley, isn’t it? Because our dinner meeting got cancelled, and you’re going to make me a hot home-cooked meal for tonight.”

Taking a deep breath to keep her anger in check, Camila attempted to reason with him, “Henry, I made a promise.” Not that you would know what that means, she thought to herself.

He turned his large form towards her, glaring down menacingly. “Are you implying that dinner with some Weasel family is more important than looking to the needs of your boyfriend?”

Heart hammering, she admitted in a small voice, “No….no, of course not.”

“Well, then, bring my meal quickly!” Having his needs looked after, he plopped himself down on the couch and turned on the muggle television.

Camila winced as the loud noise filtered through the house. Cautiously, she ventured to ask, “Uh, Henry? Could you turn it down a bit, please? Selly’s asleep.” Indeed, she was. Apparently, instead of being beaten as
punishment today, Selly had been made to run nearly 3 miles continuously. While some marathon runners would scoff at this distance, for a young girl her age, it was quite a feat. Obviously, she had been extremely tired and immediately gone off to sleep.

He grunted, and muttered something like, “Who cares? She’s a nasty little witch anyway.” But, as the logical side of him decided that he didn’t want some little girl intruding on his private dinner, he nodded and told her, “Yeah, whatever, turn it down.”

Sighing in relief that at least Selly would be spared the horror tonight, she turned to volume down and began setting up the dinner. She knew that Henry had a hearty appetite and refined taste, that a pinch too much salt or a few grains of missing sugar would not go unnoticed. If she thought he wouldn’t notice, she would have just ordered food from a famous restaurant, but he was a bit too clever for that.

Three quarters of an hour later, when she had finally finished cooking the meal with painstaking labor, her heart was squeezing with guilt. Poor George, he must be waiting for her. Not to mention that he was angry with her already – what must he think? Lost in these thoughts, she tripped over one of Selly’s toy trucks littering the floor and in the act of steadying herself, lost a hold of the plate.

It happened as if in slow motion – the plate, with a large mound of perfectly cooked wild rice and seasoned chicken with a pinch of barbeque, toppled to the ground. The floor was carpeted, and the barbeque sauce quickly began expanding its stain on the floor. Although the plate didn’t break, and there was more food already cooked to replace it, Camila flinched as Henry’s expected roar came when he saw the mess.

“Clumsy fool! Look what you’ve done!” He exclaimed, seizing her arm
roughly. Biting down a cry of pain, Camila readied herself for the inevitable onslaught, praying that Selly remained asleep. She ducked her head as he raised a large hand, squeezing her eyes shut as she awaited the blow.

“Don’t you dare!” The voice was warm and familiar, but with a steel edge that she had never heard before.
