Hi I'm Brianna. This is my first fanfiction story but I've written drabbles and ficlets. This story is about my favorite ship James Potter and Lily Evans. You will follow them through their years at Hogwarts and possibly further then that. I think I'll just leave it at that and I hope you enjoy.

James Potter's Bedroom:

On Namrof Street in London, an eleven year old James Potter was finally waking up in his bedroom."I can't believe its ten o' clock" mumbled the boy with untidy black hair. He reached next to his alarm clock and picked his glasses up. As James rubbed his eyes, he spotted a grey blur approaching the window. He quickly put his glasses on and looked at it again but this time it wasn't a grey blur, it was a grey owl. James rushed over and opened the window just minutes before the owl flew in. It went in the direction of his bed and dropped an envelope on it before exiting back out the same window.

"I guess it's for me," James said out loud as he wasked over to his bed. He picked the envelope up and examined it closely.

"Hogwarts," he mumbled when he saw the crest on the envelope. He smirked as he tore open the envelope and pulled out a letter written neatly in dark green ink. Why am I suprised I got my letter? Of course I was going to get into Hogwarts. James ran his hand through his hair as he continued to think about that. While all this thinking was going on, he walked out of his room and down the staircase. When he approached the entrance to the kitchen, he put his hands behind his back to hide his Hogwarts letter.

Potter Kitchen:

Dorea Potter was cleaning the kitchen when her house elves finished preparing breakfast for her. She sat down at the kitchen table and put her greying hair into a bun. She was about to start eating when someone entered through the entrance to the kitchen.
James walked into the kitchen obviously hiding something behind his back as he hummed. His mother just looked at him and shook her head.

"Good Morning Mum," James said as he sat down across from her at the table.

"James, What are you hiding?" Dorea asked as she began to eat her breakfast.

James smiled and was about to speak when his father entered the room.

"Good Morning Dear," he said once he walked over and kissed his wife on the cheek. "Good Morning James," he added as he sat down and his plate appeared on the plate in front of him. "So Dorea, What were you talking about before I entered?" Charlus Potter asked as he ran his hand through his black and grey hair.

"I was asking your son about what he was hiding behind his back," Dorea replied with a smile on her face as she looked at James.

"Here," James said as he pushed the folded up letter in front of his mother.
Dorea exchanged looks with Charlus and then opened the the folded letter. As she started to read a smile broke out upon her face.

"Congratulations James," she said when she handed the letter over to Charlus.

"Thanks mum."

"So how about we go to Diagon Alley next tuesday," Charlus said as he put the letter back in front of his son.

"Sure," James replied after he picked picked up the letter and read the supply list.

"That sounds like a plan," Dorea said as she watched her son with a beaming smile.

Excellent beginning, my dear! I'm always a sucker for Lily/James fics...I did start my own, a few years ago, but was unable to finish it due to various reasons. Hmm...I really should get that finished...
Anyway, amazing writing! I'm looking forward to more...

Wonderful! I love where this is heading! I've never read a L/J fic where Lily first finds out she's a witch, so it'll be interesting to see the journey you take her through!

I'm sorry this has taken a while. I wrote this a couple days after the last update but I lost it *still lost* and I'm guessing I typed some of it by what I found on my computer. So here my smallest update yet and it'll probably never be this small again.



In a matter of seconds, James left his house and arrived in Diagon Alley through the fireplace of Flourish and Blotts. He then quickly brushed himself and stepped aside. A moment later Dorea walked out of the fireplace and brushed herself off like her son did before she began walking towards the door.

"Can we go to Quality Quidditch Supplies?" James asked with a pleading look on his face. All he wanted was the new Nimbus 1050 and he knew the look would get him exactly what he wanted.

Dorea took one look at her son before making her decision. "We're going to follow my family tradition and go to Ollivander's first then we'll go to Quality Quidditch Supplies".

"Alright" James replied enthusiastically. The truth was that he actually wanted to get his wand but the broom was the thing that was on his mind for the past two weeks.

As James and his mother walked out of the shop, James looked around and spotted a chubby blonde headed boy being dragged in the opposite direction by his mother. He softly laughed while his own mother turned and gave him a strange look as they approached the storefront.

Yay! new readers Thank you for your compliments and for reading. I appreciate them very much. This next update isn't very long but I'm making my way to Hogwarts. Once James & Lily get to Hogwarts, I should be able to write more. Anyway, I hope you enjoy!!
I had to do that in blue and orange b/c baseball season starts in less then 2 hours



As Mrs. Potter stepped aside, James pulled the door open and began to look around the old shop. He made it about three steps before bumping into a girl about his age. "Sorry" James said nervously as he ran his hand through his hair and finally looked up to see the most beautiful girl he'd ever seen. Even though he was only eleven Her brilliant green eyes left him at a loss for words. Part of him wanted to at least introduce himself but her parents rushed her out before he could. He stared at the door until Mrs. Potter nudged him a little bit and he finally headed up to the counter, where an older man with untamed hair stood watching James.

"Hello, You must be a Potter" the old man said as he continued to look at James with eyes that resembled moons. "You can call me Mr. Ollivander".

"Hello" James replied quietly.

"Which is your wand arm Mr. Potter?"

"Right"
Mr. Ollivander reached out and grabbed James's arm. He then bewitched his wand and it took many different measurements. "Thats enough". The wand suddenly stopped and Mr. Ollivander walked down one of the aisles behind and grabbed a couple of narrow boxes. James must of tried three wands before he came accross the perfect wand for him. "Mahongany wood, Eleven inches, and pliable seems to be the perfect match for you Mr. Potter. You'll enjoy this wand its excellent for transfiguration." Mr. Ollivander grabbed the wand out of James's hand and put it back in the narrow box.

Mrs. Potter then stepped next to James and handed six galleons to Mr. Ollivander. "Thanks" she said with a smile before exiting with James, who had taken his wand out of the box and began examining it.

August thirty first seemed to drag on forever, especially when you were waiting to board the Hogwarts Express on September first for the first time. It seemed to be nerve recking for one eleven year old muggleborn girl. Lily Evans had no idea what to expect when she entered the magic world in the upcoming morning, but she did know that it would be different then her life with her older sister. "Where did I put my Transfiguration book?" Lily asked herself as she finished packing everything else into her new trunk.

"Is this what you're talking about?" Petunia asked as she looked at the book in her hand with the complete disgust.

"Hand it over" Lily replied while getting to her feet.

"Fine but I don't want to hear you talking about this kind of stuff whem I'm in this house". Petunia then threw the book against the wall and slammed the door shut.

Lily rolled her eyes at her sister's little fit then walked over and picked up the book. The cover now seemed a little loose but there was nothing she could do at the moment, so she put the book in the trunk then and shut it. She managed to change into her pajamas just before her door opened.

"Are you all packed?" Mrs. Evans asked her daughter as she entered.

"I think I am"

Mrs. Evans nodded then sat down on Lily's bed. "What happened before?"

"Petunia" Lily said before sitting down next to her mother. "She almost ruined one of my books"

Mrs. Evans put her arm around her daughter then said "Don't let her ruin this new experience for you. You're less than twelve hours away from boarding a train to a place that most people can't even imagine. " Mrs. Evans kissed her youngest daughter on the head and stood up. "But now you have to go to bed because I want you to get a good night's rest before your big day tomorrow."

"Goodnight mum" Lily said as she got into her comfortable bed.

"Goodnight Lily" Mrs. Evans turned the light off and shut the door before walking off to her own room.

Lily layed in her bed awake until five in the morning before she finally cleared her mind and fell asleep.

Awesome post, Brianna! Wow, Petunia's character is still the same, huh? After all these years...

This update is really short and its not real good. But I promise the next update will be longer and sooner than I have posted before b/c its the end of the school year and I'm about to have more time.



It was eight in the morning and James woke up without his mother or an alarm. He couldn't believe his eyes when he looked over at the clock. He got out of bed and got dressed and within a minute he was downstairs eating the food that
Carus made for him.

"James?" Dorea said as she entered the kitchen after waking up and getting dressed.
"Hey mum"

"Are you packed? If you are we'll leave early" Dorea looked over to the clock and read 8:32 before nodding her head.
James looked up from his food before a smile broke out on his face. "Actually, I packed everything last night"

Dorea looked at her son suspiciously then shrugged it off. "Why don't you go make sure your father is up. I think he has something for you".

James got up and started to walk out room before slightly turning around "Like what?"

A smirk similar to James's appeared on Dorea's face. " I have no idea. You'll have go get him and find out"

James tried stare Dorea down for a few seconds in hope of finding out but was unsuccessful. "Okay" he said before leaving the kitchen.
