" Nils Laine." Ron said looking at a photograph. "Is this him?" Neville scrutinized the photo. The man had long blonde hair, but he had the same set jaw and dark eyes.
"It might be." he said after a moment.
"He's under the death penalty in Finland, Sweden, Scotland and... Texas." Harry said.
"Texas?"
"Go figure." Ron answered.
"He's been charged for FWI (flying while intoxicated), murder, robbery, fraud, among other things..." Harry listed looking down at the list his secretary Kimberly Fox had given him.
"And you let that-- that THING near Luna? Luna who would jump off a cliff if she thought there was a King sized Nargle at the bottom, Luna who dotes on the monster with no more clue as to who is then Hobby! Are you insane??!" Neville burst out.
"Neville, I wish we could but there are things we have to take into account--" Harry began.
" There are always things to be done Harry, you know that. That shouldn't get in our way."
"Neville, you never even confirmed--"
"Yes, that's him, he cut his hair and grew some stubble, it's the same guy. He's a NeoDeathEater and if you ask me I think he's the Devil's Snare killer. He's foreign and evil, it fits." | |

Neville was angry. And he had a right to be. Harry Potter never followed percedures (Neville spat that word in his mind) so why she he start now? When Luna was in danger? He turned around and punched the first thing that came into contact with his hand; Hannah Abbott, his ex- girlfriend.
"Oh jeez, sorry Hannah!" he exclaimed hoping she didn't catch the hint of sarcasm in his voice, honestly he thought she could do with a punch, she could be rather smug.
"It's OK." she said rubbing her nose.
"So... what are you doing here?"
"I was wondering if you had my Knitting and other Hosehold Spells book around?" she said looking slightly hopeful.
"Why in Merlin's name would I have a book like that?" he asked, truely puzzled.
"Because, Neville, you can't knit for anything, your cooking is not fit for a Skrewt and you can't ever find clean socks." she said matter-of-factly.
"Well I don't have your book, go ask you female friends."
"That's sexist!" she protested.
"No, it's the truth, no bloke in his right mind would own one of those, now I have work to do, goodbye." he said with an immpressive finality.
"Fine, goodbye Neville." she said, turned on her heel and apparated.
Neville sighed and went back to fuming about RULES. | |
