Hey everyone, so I'm one of those people who got addicted to fan fics so I decided that since I'm a writer myself, why not start one of my own fan fic.

This fan fic is about a 17 year old girl, Elizabeth "Lizzie" Davis who moved from America to London after her mother's tragic death. Lizzie is in her seventh year, along with Harry, Ron, and Hermione. In this story you'll find out a secret of Lizzie's, a huge secret of hers. You'll also find some love between some of the characters. The question... who is together, and what is Lizzie's big secret? Read and you'll find out.

Elizabeth Davis stood on Platform 9 ¾ for the first time in her life, although she wasn’t a first year, she was a seventh year. She moved from Pennsylvania in the USA to England just last month and was transferred to Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

She watched the other students say goodbye to their parents as she removed a strand of her long blonde hair out of her face. Oh, how much she wished her mother could be there with her. She turned to the train and tried to find an empty compartment, but everywhere seemed to be filled so she instead chose one that had only two people in it.

“Hi, may I sit here, everywhere else is filled...” She asked the two red heads.

“No, not at all,” said the girl. “I’m Ginny Weasley by the way, and this is my brother Ron.”

“I’m Elizabeth Davis, but you can call me Lizzie. What year are you in?”

“I’m in my sixth year,” the girl named Ginny told her.

“I’m in my seventh,” said Ron, who looked excited about being in his last year. “What about you?”

“I’m in seventh too.”

“Funny, I don’t think I ever met you before.”

“I just moved here from America.”

“Oh,” said Ron and turned to the window and looked at the hills that were rushing past.

“I still can’t believe we used to be their age,” said a voice as the compartment door opened.

Lizzie looked up to find two more people coming into the compartment. One was a girl with bushy brown hair and the other a guy with a messy mop of black hair. She stared at the guy, she never saw anyone more handsome than him before. He stopped and looked at her and she noticed his beautiful green eyes. He turned to the other two who were sitting across from Lizzie and gave them a questioning look.

“This is Elizabeth Davis,” said Ginny. “She’s new to Hogwarts.”

The newcomer nodded and turned back to Lizzie. “Hi, I’m Harry,” he said as he held out his hand for her to shake. As soon as she took it she felt a shiver run up her spine. She looked up and noticed that he had an expression on his face that she had never seen before.

“I’m Hermione Granger,” said the girl with bushy hair as she sat down next to Ron, who put an arm around her. Ginny and Harry just rolled their eyes.

“So Harry any... news about…Tom Riddle?” Ginny asked uncertainly.

Lizzie lifted her head a bit when she heard Riddle’s name. She looked questioningly at Ginny then at Harry. Harry noticed her looking at him and sent a look at Ginny that said ‘not here.’ Ginny blushed and lowered her head as Ron and Hermione started kissing.

“Do you know who Tom Riddle is?” Harry whispered into her ear. Lizzie only nodded her head, not saying anything that would give out her little secret.

The rest of the train ride was quiet, Ginny ashamed of bringing up Tom Riddle, Harry wondering how she knew him, Lizzie not wanting to say anything and Ron and Hermione snogging.

*Looks around and sees no one.* No readers yet, why, there hasn't been anything happening so far so I'm going to post another chapter, plus I'm bored and have nothing else to do at the moment. So here it is!


The train stopped at the platform that led to Hogwarts. Hermione and Harry, being Head Boy and Girl, left the group to watch everyone get into carriages. Ron, Ginny and Lizzie stepped off the train and rushed to find an empty carriage and waited for Harry and Hermione to join them, however the carriage pulled off without them.

“Wonder what house your going to be in.” Said Ginny to stop the silence that had taken over them.

“Yeah, what house are you in?” Lizzie asked trying not to show she was nervous.

“Gryffindor. So is Ron here and Harry and Hermione. Hope you get Gryffindor too.”

Lizzie nodded, although she knew that there was a good chance she wouldn’t be in Gryffindor, after all, her mother was in Slytherin, and even though she never met him, she knew her father was in Slytherin as well. She didn’t mention this to the girl so the rest of the ride to Hogwarts was in silence, no one knowing what to say.

A few minutes later, the carriages pulled up to the school, and everyone walked into the Entrance Hall. Lizzie made to follow everyone into the Great Hall, but was stopped by an elderly witch.

“Miss…Davis, please follow me.”

Lizzie followed the witch up several steps and stopped in front of a stone gargoyle. The witch mumbled something Lizzie couldn’t hear and the gargoyle jumped aside to reveal a spiraling staircase.

Lizzie followed the witch up the stairs and into a circular office. The witch sat down behind a desk and motioned Lizzie to sit.

“Welcome to Hogwarts Miss. Davis. I am the headmistress, Professor McGonagall.” The witch told her. “I’m very sorry to hear about your mother.”

Lizzie lowered her head, she was still grieving what had happened just three months ago.

“Miss. Davis.” Said a male’s voice. Lizzie turned around, expecting to see someone behind her, but saw no one. She turned back to the headmistress only to find her looking at a portrait of a very elderly man.

“It is a pleasure to finally meet you.” The portrait told her.

“You sound like you always wanted to meet me, uhh, sir.” Lizzie said softly.

“Yes, I indeed did. Before Minerva sorts you into the proper house, I wish to speak with you.”

“About what, sir?”

“Your birth name.” The portrait of Albus Dumbledore told her simply. Lizzie gulped as he continued. “Yes, I know who your father is, and I wish for you to change your name back to it’s original.”

“No.” Lizzie told him, her voice higher than she wished. “I already met four people who know him, who knows how many other students know who he is as well.”

“Ah, I see you met Mr. Potter and his friends.”

Lizzie looked up at him with wide eyes. “Mr. Potter? As in the Harry Potter? I didn’t know that was him.” She told him, shocked by this bit of news.

“Yes, that was him. You will find that no one here besides the four you mentioned will know who your father is.”

“I’ll think about it sir, but I won’t guarantee anything.” Lizzie told him as she looked at the floor.

“If you do decide to change your name, please notify Professor McGonagall and she will take care of everything. And, Miss. Davis, you are nothing like your father, if that helps.” The portrait told her and she gave him a small smile.

“I will place this hat on your head.” Professor McGonagall told her as she reached for an old hat. “It will tell you which house you belong into.”

Lizzie nodded and the hat was placed on her head. As soon as it touched her head a voice was heard inside her mind.

“Ah, wow, you are very different from your mother and father, yes very different. You do wish to prove yourself, but you are courageous, very courageous, and very smart as well. Yes, lets see, which house should you go, ahhhh, I know…..”


Ok so I left it off on a little cliffie, which by the way I hate, but it's a great place to stop.

Okay so I promised a post today so here it is.

Every head turned to Lizzie as she walked into the Great Hall right behind Professor McGonagall. The headmistress pointed to an empty seat at one of the four long tables. Lizzie went and sat down, she wished everyone would stop staring.

“Welcome to Gryffindor Lizzie.” Said a voice across from her. She looked up and noticed that Harry was talking to her.

“Thanks Harry.” She said, smiling up at him as the first years scrambled into the hall.

Everyone became quiet as the first years started getting sorted, everyone but Ron who was complaining that he was hungry and when supper would start. After the sorting, Professor McGonagall rose and asked the hall to bow their heads in a moment of silence for Professor Dumbledore. Once she sat down again food appeared on the plates.

“What happened to Professor Dumbledore?” Lizzie asked as she started to pile her plate with mash potatoes. Harry seemed to stiffen a bit and Ron was stuffing his mouth so Hermione answered her.

“He was murdered back in June by one of our professors, he’s on the run at the moment.”

Lizzie only heard half of what she said, when Hermione mentioned June her mind was back to her mother. She lost her appetite yet again for millionth time during the past three months.

“So why did you move to England?” Harry asked, hoping to change the subject.

“I moved in with my grandparents.” She told him.

“What about your parents?” Ron asked between mouthfuls.

“My mom died in June and I never met my father.” She said, so softly they barely could hear her. Harry stopped eating as well as Hermione, Ron however stopped long enough to say sorry.

“What happened? If you want to tell us.” Harry asked, looking sympathetically at her.

“She had a heart attack. She tried to hide everything from everyone and one day we had a fight about my father and she…” Lizzie stopped and looked down as tears formed in her eyes. Harry leaned over the table and squeezed her hand a little. “I feel like it’s my fault, that I killed her.” She said, mostly just to Harry.

“It wasn’t your fault Lizzie.” Harry told her as the food disappeared and Professor McGonagall stood up to give her speech. Lizzie didn’t pay any attention to her though, she just sat there and stared at Harry who stared back at her, smiling, his hand still holding hers.

After a couple of minutes everyone got up to head to their dormitories. Lizzie followed her four friends to the Gryffindor Common Room, Harry so close to her so that once in a while they would brush each others arm.

Once they arrived to the common room, the girls said goodnight to the guys and headed up to their dorms. Lizzie and Hermione said goodnight to Ginny when they got to her dorm room and continued up the stairs to theirs.

“I noticed you and Harry couldn’t stop staring at each other during supper.” Hermione said as they walked into their room.

Lizzie blushed a little. “Was it that obvious?”

“Not really.” Hermione said sarcastically as two more girls entered the room. “Oh, Lizzie this is Lavender Brown and Parvati Patil, girls, this is Elizabeth Davis, she transferred here from America.” She introduced them.

Lizzie mumbled a quick hello and went to her four poster to change for bed.

“Hey Hermione are you and Ron dating yet?” The girl named Lavender asked.

Hermione blushed a little before replying. “Yes, we got together over summer while I was staying at his house.”

“About time.” Parvati said then turned to Lizzie. “Hermione had a crush on Ron every since our first year.”

“Yeah, you should’ve heard her back then, ‘Isn’t Ron so handsome?’” Lavender laughed making Hermione very red.

The four of them got into bed and said goodnight to each other after that, since Hermione didn’t feel up to talking about Ron anymore.

Lizzie tried to sleep but she couldn’t, Dumbledore’s request kept going through her head, it really was tiring to keep such a secret from her friends.

After tossing and turning for a few hours she decided to give up hope of falling asleep and left the dorm to the common room to sit by the fire. At first she thought the common room was empty, but as she got closer to the chairs, she noticed a messy mop of black hair. She sat down in the chair next to his and stared into the fire.

“How come your not asleep?” Harry asked her.

“I couldn’t fall asleep. You?” She asked, not taking her eyes from the fire.

“Same reason.” He said.

After a couple of minutes of silence, Lizzie turned her gaze to Harry, deciding to tell him her secret.

“Harry?”

“Yeah?” He asked, turning to look at her.

“If I tell you something, promise not to tell anyone?”

“Of course, you can tell me anything.”

Lizzie turned back to the fire. “It’s about who my father is.” She said softly, just loud enough for Harry to hear.

“I thought you didn’t know who he is?”

“I never met him, but I do know who my father is.”

“So you can find him, do you know where he lives?” He asked, not taking his eyes off her.

“All I know is that he lives here in England.”

“You can ask one of the teachers, maybe they know where to find him.”

“Professor McGonagall already knows who my father is, and besides, it’s best if I don’t find him because if he finds out I exist who knows what he will do.” Lizzie told him, still staring into the fire.

After a moments silence she continued. “You’ve met him before.”

Harry stared at her, confused. “I did?”

“Yes, you and Professor Dumbledore and who knows who else.” She said, finally taking her eyes off the fire to look at Harry who had a confused look on his face.

“Who is he?” He asked.

Lizzie got up from her seat and went to the window, afraid to tell him, but had to now that she started. “He…I’m nothing like him, you know, Dumbledore told me, but he’s still my father.”

Harry got up to her and put an arm around her, trying to make her feel comfortable. “What’s his name?”

Lizzie looked up at him. “My last name isn’t Davis, my mother changed it after I was born to protect me. You see she, fled from England when she found out she was pregnant with me. My last name is…”



I know I said I hated cliffies but I thought this would be kind of funny. Who is Lizzie's father?? Find out in the next post!

OMG! Soooooooo much suspence. This is a great story.I thought her father was Dumbledore for a secound there, but dont blame me ,Im sick today.Cant wait 2c what happens.

Thanks Molly, I'm glad you like it. Now that everyone is wanting to know who the father is, I want to hold it out for another day...But unfortunately I promised I would post today so here it is Just for you guys, I hope you like it. It's longer than what I was originally going to post.


“Riddle.” She finished and looked up at him.

Harry’s arm dropped from around her and he stared at her, open mouthed. “Rid…Riddle?”

Lizzie nodded her head. “Yes, my father is Tom Marvolo Riddle. My father is…”

“Lord Voldemort!” Harry finished for her. He took a step away from her, fear in his eyes.

“I’m nothing like him Harry!” Lizzie tried to calm him, she knew it was a mistake to tell him.

“How would you know, you said yourself that you never met him!” Harry exclaimed, still stepping back from her.

“He was in Slytherin Harry, I’m in Gryffindor, doesn’t that count for something? And besides, I would never kill anyone, it’s just wrong!” Lizzie looked at him, but could tell by his face that he still wasn’t convinced. “I knew I shouldn’t have said anything, Dumbledore wanted me to change my name back to Riddle and this is what happens when I tell one person, the person I really like nonetheless!” Lizzie exclaimed and ran up the stairs to her dorm, tears coming to her eyes.



Lizzie was the last one in her dorm to wake up the next day. She quickly got dressed and headed to the Great Hall for breakfast.

She was stopped by Professor McGonagall before she could get an empty seat away from Harry.

“Miss. Davis, have you thought anymore about Professor Dumbledore’s request?” The elderly witch asked her.

Lizzie just looked at the Headmistress while she thought. She figured that nothing could amount to anything that had happened the previous night.

“Yes Professor.” She said after a minute. “Go ahead and change it back.”

Professor McGonagall smiled and handed Lizzie her schedule. “Very well Miss…Riddle, I will do all the necessary paperwork to make sure your surname is changed.” And with that final note, the Headmistress left the Great Hall.

Lizzie looked up and down the long table that was the Gryffindor table. She let out a groan as she noticed that the only empty seat was beside Hermione, who sat across from Harry, the very same person she wanted to avoid.

Lizzie walked up the table and sat down. “Morning Hermione, Ron.” Lizzie said brightly to them, completely ignoring Harry.

“Hey Lizzie. What did McGonagall want?” Hermione asked as Lizzie helped herself to some eggs and bacon.

“Yeah, why don’t you tell them what you told me last night.” Harry said under his breath.

Lizzie looked up and glared at him. “What is your problem?”

“Let me think.” Harry said sarcastically. “I found out who your father is and that your working for him!”

Lizzie stood up, she could feel the heat in her face from the anger. “Really? I remember telling you that I never even met him!” She yelled at him.

“For all we know, that could be a lie just like your name!” Harry yelled back as he too stood up.

“I never lied about my name! My mother changed it after I was born!”

“Yeah, sure, so you say! Conveniently she’s dead so it’s only your word!”

Lizzie was now being held back by Hermione so she wouldn’t jump across the table while Ron stood between her and the table. Everyone seemed to be watching Lizzie and Harry.

“How dare you! If my mother was still alive I would still be in America and not here!”

“Then go back! No one wants you here anyway! Leave so there will be one less Death Eater here!”

“I am not a Death Eater!” Lizzie shouted at him, trying to get past Hermione to get to Harry.

“You could’ve surprised me, after all their master is your father!”

There was a big gasp as Harry said this. Ron and Hermione turned to Harry, mouths opened. Lizzie took this chance to jump across the table and started muggle dueling with Harry.

Soon after they started the fight, both having their fair share of punches, Lizzie felt someone pull her off of Harry and hold her back while a professor held Harry back.

“Mr. Potter, Miss. Riddle!” Came Professor McGonagall’s angry voice from the door. “Follow me, now!”


Let me know what you think, I had so much fun writing this part.

While this story would seem to be creative in nature, it is, nonetheless, very illuminating. Despite the horrible use of your sixth grade vocabulary, the plot gets itself out to the reader in a way that touches all with joy and hope, as portrayed in Lilly. Hope is the embodiment in the character, she who steps out into a new country, and indeed, into a new world.

I would give this story a 6 out of 10 at the most. I've given worse grades to slightly better stories.

(I would like to be a critic one day! ROFL! Also, moonchic07 knows that I don't really mean the above stuff...just like to get on her nerves....LOL!)

Okay everyone here is a post, but before I post it up here is a little announcement. I'm not sure if I will be able to post tomorrow or not, it all depends on what is going on, tomorrow will most likely be the last day I see my father until next weekend so I might not be on to post. Also I might not be able to post Monday either, I have an orientation or something tomorrow so I can get a job for the first time since August. So the next part of the story most likely won't be up until Tuesday. Sorry everyone. But for now, here is today's post, enjoy!

“Never, in my life of being a teacher have I seen anything so disgraceful!” McGonagall yelled at Harry and Lizzie back in her office. Harry hung his head while Lizzie stared out the window, not wanting to look the Headmistress in the eyes. “Fifty points, each, will be taken from Gryffindor and both of you will have detention for two weeks, together!”

Lizzie and Harry looked up at McGonagall then at each other with a disgusted look on their faces.

“Now, why in the name of Merlin did you two decide to display a muggle duel in the middle of the Great Hall for everyone to see?” The Headmistress asked sternly.

Harry went back to hanging his head, he seemed ashamed of himself. Lizzie look at him before turning to the elderly witch.

“It was Harry’s fault, he…”

“My fault?!” Harry interrupted looking at her. “How is this my fault?”

“Let’s think.” Lizzie said, mocking what Harry did earlier. “If you hadn’t accused me of being a Death Eater we wouldn’t even be here!”

“That is enough!” Shouted McGonagall as Harry opened his mouth to argue. “Mr. Potter, I am very disappointed with you, never would I even imagine you getting into a fight with a young lady. And as for you Miss. Riddle, maybe I was wrong, after what you have done today, you seem more like your father than I thought.”

Lizzie looked at the elderly witch. She felt tears coming to her eyes as she saw that she was serious. She got up and ran from the office as the tears went down her cheeks.

After running up to the Gryffindor Common Room, she sat down in the armchair closest to the fire and let the tears continue down her cheeks.

After a minute or two someone came in through the portrait and sat in the chair next to her.

“I’m sorry.” Came Harry’s voice.

“I knew I shouldn’t have said anything.” Lizzie said without looking at him.

“I’m glad you did.” Harry said softly.

Lizzie looked up at him. “Really? Could’ve fooled me since you gave me these bruises.” She said, pointing to one of her eyes which was turning a light bluish purple.

Harry looked at it but winced and looked away.

“I don’t know why you can’t look at it, you’re the one who gave it to me.” Lizzie told him.

“Because I regret it.” He said softly.

A bell rang somewhere, dismissing everyone from their first class of the day.

“Um, we should probably head to class.” Lizzie said as she got up and headed to the girls dorm to get her bag.

A couple of minutes later Lizzie and Harry headed for Transfiguration, neither saying a word.

Harry took his seat behind Ron and Hermione. Lizzie looked around the room, the only empty seat was next to Harry. Harry, as if sensing her hesitancy, grabbed her arm and pulled her down next to him.

“I don’t bite you know, I may punch and kick, but I don’t bite.” Harry said loud enough so only Lizzie heard what he said.

She gave a little nervous laugh as the teacher, Professor Pickens walked into the room. Everyone became quite as he started class, Lizzie not really paying attention, but kept glancing at Harry who seemed to be doing the same thing.

I honestly have to tell you, it isn't doing anything for me. Nope...not really. Believe in yourself and things can happen.

Yeah...you probably shouldn't ask me for an opinion like that...not going well for ya, to be honest with ya.

Ewwwwwww! And ask me no questions, and I shall tell no lies. It's....absolutely appalling. Indeed........
