Hello everyone. Well, this post is SUPER long, sorry. But I think you'll find it entertaining.

<3<3<3<3<3<3<3 Normal POV <3<3<3<3<3<3<3

“Ronald Weasley!” Mrs. Weasley was exclaiming. “Wake up!”

Ron, asleep on the sofa in the living room of the Burrow, groggily said, “Huh?”

“Had a nice party, have you?” Mrs. Weasley asked. How evil of her to be waking them up at the crack of dawn after she knows they had only been asleep a few hours. Half of Hogwarts was asleep on various floors of the Burrow.

“Yes Mum, lovely party…five more minutes, please?” Ron begged.

Mrs. Weasley laughed, “Wake up. You’re going to help me clean this up. But first, you, Harry, Hermione and Ginny are all going to help me wake these people up.”

Ron, now fully awake said, “Mum, there’s something we have to talk to you and Dad about first.”

Mrs. Weasley’s face fell. “Oh God; Hermione isn’t pregnant is she?”

Ron’s mouth fell open into a perfect “O”. “No!” he yelled, waking up a few people around him.

“Who’s pregnant?” Seamus Finnigan said sleepily.

“See what you’ve done?” Ron asked his mother. “No one Seamus; go back to sleep,” Ron barked at his Hogwarts roommate.

“Then what is it?” Mrs. Weasley asked impatiently.

“Wait here; I have to find Harry, Ginny, Hermione and, and—,” Ron stopped.

“And who?” his mother asked him.

“Just go up to your bedroom and get Dad. Wait there; we’ll be there in a few minutes.” Ron said nervously.

Mrs. Weasley looked at Ron strangely, used to telling him to go to his room. She shrugged and marched up the stairs to her bedroom. Ron started looking around the masses of bodies to look for Harry, Ginny, Hermione and Malfoy. He spotted Ginny first, her red hair sticking out clearly.

“Ginny, wake up; do you know where Harry is?” he asked.

Ginny, having never had such a wild night said sleepily, “I dunno—over there somewhere.” She pointed vaguely to the kitchen. Indeed, Ron found Harry asleep on the counter, a tankard still in his hand.

“Harry, get up; we have to talk to my parents about Malfoy. Where is he, do you know?” Ron asked impatiently.

Harry sighed and suddenly his eyes shot open. “NO! THE GOBLIN TRIED TO TAKE MY FIREWHISKEY!”

Ron could only speak after his fit of laughter subsided. Harry was the brightest shade of red he had ever been in his entire life. “Erm—what were you going on about, Ron?” Harry asked.

Ron got a grip on himself and said, “Where’s Malfoy? My parents are waiting to talk to us.”

Harry eyes widened; he had forgotten all about talking to Mr. and Mrs. Weasley about Malfoy staying there for the remainder of the summer.

Ron said, “Ginny is awake in the living room. Help me find Malfoy and Hermione in this mess…by the way, mate, it was a great party.” Ron smiled.

Harry laughed, vaguely remembering being outside with Ginny, running upstairs, listening to Malfoy and, what was that? Dancing on the very counter he was now laying on! He blushed suddenly, trying to put it out of his memory, hoping no one else would remember it. “Uh—yeah, it was a great party,” Harry agreed. He got off the counter and began looking about. He saw Malfoy’s blonde tuft of hair in the dining room, underneath the table.

“Hey Ron,” Harry pointed at Malfoy, “Looks like he enjoyed the party.” Ron laughed along with Harry and they poked Malfoy. “Wake up,” Harry said. “We have to talk to Ron’s parents now.”

Malfoy groggily opened his eyes, was at first shocked and confused as to why he was waking up in Ron’s house with Harry and Ron speaking civilly to him, then remembered everything the night before held.

“We just need to find Hermione,” Ron said. Suddenly, he smiled. “I bet I know where she is,” he laughed.

“Where?” Harry and Draco said in unison.

“Follow me,” Ron beckoned them.

They began climbing the stairs, Ginny had joined them. Flight after flight they climbed when finally, Harry said, “Ron do you honestly think she made it all the way up to your room?”

They opened the door and, indeed, Hermione was sound asleep, comfortably tucked under Ron’s orange Chudley Cannons covers. “Hermione, dear, wake up,” Ron said gently.

“You didn’t call me dear when you woke me up,” Harry said. Ron scowled at him.

Hermione’s eyes opened groggily. “What’s wrong, Ronny?” she asked. Draco, Harry, and Ginny all snickered at her calling him Ronny.

Again, Ron scowled. “We have to go talk to Mum and Dad about Malfoy staying here.” Finally, Hermione woke up and the five of them all took a deep breath. They were ready now to go talk to Mr. and Mrs. Weasley.

I was nervous; if they rejected me, I wasn’t sure where I would hide. I would find somewhere else, but I just wasn’t quite sure where. I hated having to depend on people; it definitely wasn’t the way I was raised. Then again, obviously something had gone wrong in the way I was raised for things to end up like they were.

We walked down the flights of stairs from Ron’s room to his parents’, which was surprisingly much lower. We entered their room; it was small, but cozy. You could tell they had spent many years in this room. Countless family pictures were stowed on the wall. It made me wish that my family was like this, like they cared about each other one bit. There were pictures of Ron’s brother with dragons, of his other with goblins, of Ron on a broomstick, of Ginny out-flying Ron, and even one of Harry, Ron, and Hermione together. I sighed, and then Mr. and Mrs. Weasley came out of nowhere, and their eyes widened at my sight.

“Draco Malfoy?” Mr. Weasley asked. I nodded in reply. He continued, “What on earth are you doing here? Where is your father?” he asked. I was ashamed to hear the apprehension in his voice; he probably thought my father was here to kill his family or something.

“I really couldn’t tell you,” I told him. His eyes widened, and I explained my story, my situation. He looked at me in the end, his wife’s eyes filled with tears.

“I’m so sorry, Draco,” she said sweetly. I was sorry I had ever said a bad thing about these people in my life; I was asking them for help and they were about to open their arms to me.

“I’m sorry, Mr. and Mrs. Weasley; I’m sorry for the countless years my father and I have made both of your lives hell,” I said, ashamed and crestfallen.

“What’s done is done,” Mr. Weasley said wisely, “We can’t live in the past, now can we?” he smiled at me, and I did my best to smile back weakly.

“I don’t want to be a burden; you already have so much going on, I understand if I can’t stay. I just want to be safe. When I get back to school I’m going to go to Dumbledore, you can’t possibly know how odd that is coming from my mouth, to ask for protection. He can keep me safe there…” I said helplessly, in disbelief of my pitiful situation.

Mr. and Mrs. Weasley exchanged glances and it was Mr. Weasley who spoke as the leader of the family. “Draco, we couldn’t just put you out in the cold. However, we do need your word that you won’t bring any harm to this family. To us, word is as good as blood, and we will trust you until you give us a reason not to.”

I smiled, a real smile, and said, “I give you my word Mr. Weasley.”

“Well then,” Mrs. Weasley began, “I believe I’ll set an extra spot for breakfast today.”

True, things were very odd around the Burrow having Draco Malfoy there. However, he mostly kept to himself, feeling very awkward at the place. He had been given Percy’s old room to stay in and stayed in there a lot, working on over-the-summer homework he had. Harry and Ron often felt bad for him and wished he didn’t have to feel so awkward and alone. However, when they remembered it was Malfoy, they couldn’t help but take back those feelings of pity.

So, time went on. About a week into August, Harry approached Ginny as she was watering the garden.

“Hello there, stranger,” he grinned at her.

“Oh, hello Harry,” she said tiredly.

Harry frowned, “You look tired.”

“I am,” Ginny nodded, “Hermione and I stayed up late last night talking and I planned on sleeping in but of course Mum woke me up at the crack of dawn to come and weed and water the garden.”

“Poor thing,” Harry teased her. “Why don’t you leave those poor flowers and come with me for a while?” he said.

“Go with you where?” Ginny asked, suddenly very interested.

Harry remembered his bargain with Ron. “Just for a walk around the countryside,” he said, smiling at the girl who was the very most beautiful in his eyes. She smiled back at him and nodded. She dropped her watering can and the two began walking and talking.

“So why did you decide to take little old me out for a walk?” Ginny asked, acting as though she didn’t deserve it only to tease Harry.

Harry smiled, “Why ever wouldn’t I? A lady as charming as you deserves a kind gentleman.” Ginny smiled then looked down at her feet.

“So…erm…what you were saying at your party…” she began awkwardly.

“Yeah?” asked Harry eagerly.

“Well, has anything new happened with that?” Ginny asked, feeling stupid.

Harry took Ginny’s hand in his for the second time. “Ginny, I want to be with you so bad. I can’t help it…I don’t know what to do. How am I supposed to take my time and all that that Ron said when all I think about is—is—,” Harry cut himself off.

“Is what?” Ginny asked inquiringly.

“You,” Harry said simply.
