Ch. 7

"Okay so how did this little accident happen this time,"Hermione asked pacing back and forth in front of him a clipboard in front of her.

"Well I went to go get something from my house and my dad cursed me improperly. I don't know what he was trying t do he's a bit loopy now and these days,"Draco responded with a confused look on his face.

Hermione shook her head."Try not to end up here everyday. So did you get what you were after?"

"Yeah i got it. Why do you care?"

Why did she care. Maybe it was the fact that everytime she was near him her heart would skip a beat and she'd be fighting with herself about wether or not he was good or evil.

"That way you won't have to come back." Hermione turned around and walked out."Your free to leave."

"Thanks,"he said and Hermione rolled her eyes.

"Bye Draco."

"Bye Hermione."

As the day had went on without any more interuptions Hermione's mood began to lift. She had a wonderful dinner waiting for her at the Weasley's and couldn't wait to see Ginny and talk to her.

"Okay Miss Massie your in charge until your shift ends. If anything to serious that you can't handle comes in just owl me." Hermione left and went home quick enough to change then dissaperated from her house to Ron's.

"Hermione,"Mrs. Weasley called."You look like your starving yourself come on dinner is almost done."

"Thanks Mrs. Weasley." Hermione was so greatful to have friends like them.
As she walked into the Kitchen she saw Ginny."Hey Ginny."

"hey 'Mione. Ron and Harry are up stairs. I guess they saw you some point today?"

"Yeah in the first corridor ward." Hermione sat down tired but energetic.

"What do you mean?" Ginny sat next to her.

"They didn't tell you?"

"Tell me what?"

"They had a broom accident today."

Hermione laughed as Ginny got up from her seat and walked up the stairs.

"YOU WERE IN THE HOSPITAL TODAY. LET ME GUESS EXTREME QUIDDITCH. HOW MANY TIMES HAVE I TOLD YOU HARRY. YOU NEVER LISTEN!"

"Ow Ginny get off me. You know it's something me and Ron do," Hermione heard Harry say.

"Ah i don't know what to do with those two." hermione looked up to see Mrs. Weasley setting the table."I'm just happy they're together."

Hermione thought about what Ginny said when they went to Diagon Alley Ginny laughed."Look if Harry, my so called husband, can flirt with my secretary the I can flirt with the guy." Comming back to the present Hermione laughed. They really did love each other.

Twenty minuets later everyone was already seated at the table and enjoying a lovley meal."Hey ginny I need to talk to you before I leave."

"Okay. About what though?"

Hermione thought of a way to use a secret code."About this boook I got from the Flourish and Blott's I really like."

Ginny must have caught on becuase she nodded. About three helpings later Hermione and Ginny were walking around the outside perimeter of the Weasley house."So whats up between you and Malfoy?"

Hermione sighed,"Can we please call him Draco? Nothing really he's changed in someways but my mind says don't get to attatched because you'll get hurt."

Ginny sighed loud enough for Hermione to hear."Look listen to your mind. It's what got you so far in life Hermione. Malfoy is just playing with your emotions so that he can get you alone and hurt you."

"I know but everything about him makes me want to get closer to him." Hermione kicked at a rock for admitting her weakness." I guess it'd be easier to ignore him if he'd stop comming to the hospital."

"What do you mean?"

Hermione sat on a fallen tree log."He keeps comming in weekly with some accident. I'm suprised he didn't invite me to dinner again."

"Just becareful okay hermione. I don't want to lose you." Hermione heard the concern in Ginny's voice and smiled.

Ch. 8

It had been a busy week. Hermione had been invited to dinner again by Draco but she aked him if it would be okay if they did a double with Harry and Ginny. He had said okay though his spirits fell a bit. So Hermione stood in front of a mirrior in Ginny's room trying to get ready. she need someone to come and lace up the back of her dress.

"Ginny can you come and help me. I can't reach and my wand is downstairs."

Ginny walked out of her closet and waved her wand watching it lace up the black dress. "Where did you get his dress Hermione?"

Hermione smiled. She looked at it admiring the way it split from the middle of here thigh to the floor. The way the sleeves hung off the shoulders and the neck line dipped slightly."I made it myself. I don't know I really like it though."

"I wish I had a dress liike this." Ginny sat and and Hermione joined her.

"I can make you one whenever I get more fabric."

"Okay. Well lets go before were late. Harry,"Ginny yelled."Come on were leaving."

Harry popped into veiw in a classic tux."Do I have to go?"

"Yes,"Ginny said.

"Fine. Hermione, I'll try not to blow up your date." Harry smiled at Hermione and she rolled her eyes.

"Ginny take his wand when we get there." Hermione fixed up a few things.

Ginny smiled and summoned hermiones wand and they all three tunred on the spot and reapppeared in front of a fancy restraunt. Draco was already there and Hermione walked to him.

"Hey Draco. You look nice today,"Hermione said.

"Thank you Hermione. You look very beautiful."

"Thank you. Well lets go eat."Hermione smiled and turned to Harry and Ginny."Come one you two."She watched as they followed with some caution.

"Wait right here,"Hermione said to Draco. She pulled Harry and Ginny aside. "I promise nothing bad is going to happen." She watched as they relaxed a bit and followed Hermione and Draco in.

Okay I'll post the next chapter later guys. I have to go and do a few more things.

Ch 9.
Dinner and a gift

As Hermione and Draco took thier seats opposite of Harry and Ginny. As Hermione picked up her menu she peaked over the top and watched as Harry fidgeted uncomfortably seeing as he was sitting across from Draco. She sighed and put it the menu down.

"Ginny can you please switch places with Harry before he goes nuts." Hermione was really fed up with Harry sometimes. Ginny had no problem with sitting across from Draco. If she, she never showed it.

"Good afternoon Miss Granger. It has been a long time since you were here," the waiter said. Harry, Ginny, and Draco all stared at her.

"Hello Andrew. It's good to see you too.I'll have my usual, except this time add the lemon too my ice tea."

"Okay Miss Granger's usual with Lemon this time. What about you sir?" He pointed at Draco.

"I'll have the pasta with meat sauce and a coke." Draco closed his menu and placed it on top of Hermone's with a smile.

"Okay," Andrew scribbled it down and pointed at Ginny,"How about you madame?"

"Umm...I'lll have....the veggie plate with ranch. For my drink I'll have an ice tea without the lemon wedge." Ginny closed the menu and layed it on top of Draco's.

"Okay and what about you sir?" Andrew barely looked up when it came time for Harry still scribbling down Ginny's order.

"I'll just have an Ice Tea with the lemon wedge." he laid the menu on top of Ginny's. "I'm not all that hungary 'Mione."

"Thats all Andrew," Hermione said nodding at Harry.

"Okay Miss Granger. It'll be out in ten minuets." Andrew gave her a smile and she returned it.

"Hermione how do you know him?" Draco was more than curious he sounded a tad bit jealous.

"Well, this is my favorite muggle restaraunt. I used to come here all the time before my job kept me working constantly." Hermione smiled.

"Oh." Was all Draco had to reply.

The wait for the food was an akward one as Harry and Ginny mumbled to each other. Hermione didn't care what they were saying because knowing Ginny she was trying to reason with Harry. As the dinner was served it became quiet except for the tinkling of classes and forks hitting the plate.Hermione laid the pay and a tip on the table when everyone finished and they all stood up and walked out the door.

As soon as they were on the street Draco was pulling out his wand and turned to face Ginny. Before anything else could happen Harry pulled his out and waved it. hermione stood there in shock and watched as Draco was lifted into the air by his ankle.

"What did you do that for Potter?" Draco was furious and fitting to get down.

"You pulled your wand out on Ginny Malfoy." Harry stood in front of him now and Hermione watched as he spat in his face.

"Yeah becasue she had a bit of ranch on her dress and I was going to remove it."

Hermione looked at Ginny's dress and saw what he was talking about. Strange she didn't notice it first. She turned to Harry."Let him down Harry."

Harry sighed and waved his wand. Draco fell onto the sidewalk with a "hmph" and stood back up. "I think I should go." He wrapped his arms around her in a hug and dropped something into her pocket. "I'll see you around." He disapeared on the spot and Hermione turned on Harry.

"Why tonight? Why couldn't it have been tomorrow Harry? Why couldn't you have looked at Ginny before jumping to conclusions? Why?" Hermione looked at Ginny. " Go home and clean up your stain. I'm going to go to my house and sleep tonight."

"Okay 'Mione. Come on Harry lets go." As the vanished into thin air Hermione walked slowly to her house. It was only a few blocks away anyways. As she turned the corner she pulled out what Draco put in her pocket.

As she turned the black case in her hand she became curious. She opend it up and inside was a note and a bracelete with her name on it.

Hermione pulled it out and looked at it. It seemed safe enough to be put on. She she clapsed it on her wrist nothing bad happend. She turned on the spot not bothering to walk up her drive way. Once inside she changed into her night clothes and laid on her bed pulling out a muggle book called Wuthering Heights.

Okay thats where I leave you guys for now.

I know Lisa but seeing as the maximum time I could get that down without being caught at the library was ten minuets I had to type fast and not complain over spelling and typos.

Ch 10.
Followed

"You stupid filthy little mudblood. I can't believe you fell for my trick. You never once detected a false note in my voice or a touch that felt wrong."

Hermione shook in fear as the lightning struck."Just stay away from me Malfoy."

"That will be easy once your dead." His dark chuckle sent a chill down her spine and made the hair on her neck stand up."Avada Kedavra."

The scream in her dream was cut short as she rolled of her bed and hit the floor in her room. She looked around quickly and shook it off. Two weeks of that one constant nightmare seemed like enough to her and even though she knew how it would end she couldn't seem to wake up before it did.

Standing up, Hermione walked over to the window and looked out at the rising sun. She chanced a glance at the clock and noticed she had woken up an hour later than usual. Her vacation from the hospital was about to end which meant that Draco would only be pestering her there.

Hermione had spent every other day the past two weeks with him. Playing quidditch, watching quidditch, reading, laughing, and all the questions he asked her. She slowly picked up her clothes for the day and got dressed in a daze. Tonight they were going to go out to dinner in a wizard restaraunt that Draco picked out. Hermione didn't complain but agreed.

Glancing at the clock again she had about ten hours to go and do as she pleased. Hermione decided she'd drop in and visit Ginny and find out what she was up to for the next four. A girl day out wouldn't hurt. Grabbing her wand, Hermione turned on the spot and vanished.

Smiling to herself, Hermione appeared at The Burrow. It was always a sensation of home comming when she came here. As she walekd up the dirt [ath she could've swore she saw someone at of the cornner of her eye. She looked behind her but saw no one and then chucked it up as a flicker of light.

Walking through the door she yelled ,"Ginny!"

"Comming. Just give me a sec,"Ginny replied. She then stumbled down the stairs and smiled."Hey where have you been the past two weeks? I haven't seen since dinner with Draco."

Hermione rolled her eyes,"He is so clingy. I spent every other day with him for the past two weeks. I am so tired of him but... I can't seem to get enough of him." She blushed a little at the confession." But enough about that. let me show you what he gave me."Hermione held out her wrist and showed Ginny the bracelete

"He gave it to you. When?" Ginny examined it.

"After diner. He slipped it into my pocket before he left." Hermione dropped her arm.

"I still don't trust him enough. What if this is a trap of some sort?" Ginny sat down at the table and Hermione followed her lead.

"I highly doubt that. If it was he would've alredy done something by now." hermione waved her wand and a cupped floated around filling its self with some butterbeer.

"Okay well what did you two do every other day for the past two weeks thats kept you so busy?" ginny copied her and too a sip when it floated into her hand.

"Well a few this. Quidditch. Reading. Then his cross examination. He keeps asking me questions like.... Who I loved the most out of my friends and why...and...stuff along the lines. He even asked about my parents a little." Hermione took a gulp of her drink.

"Ah..." Ginny said."How serious are you two about your relationship?"

"Why?"

Ginny blushed."You never know where it may go."

"Well," Hermione thought about it. How serious where they. She tried to count the days they've been hanging out but couldn't remember the fist one. She thought about it even more. "I guess where pretty serious. Not like marriage serious but still serious."

"well just becareful Hermione." ginny chugged the rest of her butterbeer iin one gulp then beleched really loudly.

"Shouldn't I be the one telling you to be careful. Your the younger person here." Hermione finished hers as Ginny chuckled and muttered something about "diffrent times."

"So what do you have planned for now?" Ginny asked

"Nothing until eight."

"Then lets go buy some fabric so you can work on my dress. I thought it all out and I hoped you wouldn't be to busy." Ginny jupmed up waved her hwand in the cups vanished to the sink.

"Fine lets go," Hermione agreed. She too stood up and the vanished on the spot heading to the local muggle store called Wal-mart. As she walked in with Ginny she begann asking questions such as length and color. When the walked out it was liked they cleared out all the fabric.

"Hermione do you have the feeling that you being followed?" Giny suddnely asked.

"Yeah I had that little feeling when I was on my way to your house," Hermione hadn't said anything to Ginny because she didn't want to sound crazy seeing as when ever you where in a department store was always there.

"Well lets just get out of here and see what happens." Ginny turned on the spot and canished then Hermione followed a few short seconds later.

The feeling was gone the second she appeared in Ginny's room and sat down at the sewing machine." So you want it knee length with one off the shoulder sleeve. You want the base to be layered in black and pink then the top layered black and blue." Hermione was already waving her wand to put the image on paper.

"Excactly like that,"Ginny said looking at the picture.

The rest of the time from then on till seven was all about measurement and the things that needed to be changed to make it look a little better. Hermione coudl've did it all by magic but her grandmother had taught her to sew and she wanted to do it the muggle way.

Hermione caught a glimpse of the clock and started to but what was done so far on the dumy in the corner."I'll be back tomorrow after work to finish it. I have to go get ready for Draco and our dinner plans."

"Okay then. I'll wait patiently as possible." Ginny smiled as Hermione tacked the picture up on the wall."Thanks again 'Mione."

"It's no problem." hermione hugged her friend."But I am going to borrow a broom to get home. I want to see if I'll be followed."

"Be safe"Ginny said as she hadned over her own."And don't get it scratched."

Hermione laugehd then jumped out Ginny's window climbing onto the broom when she began to fall. She pulled it up into the air and called"Bye Ginny,"and waved.

As Hermione flew through the sky watching the sun set and the first stars appeared she thought she saw someone out of the corner of her eye. She looked behind her and yet again she was alone. Landing on her front porch she walked in and looked at the clock. Draco would be here in twenty minuets and she still wasn't ready.

Hermione dropped Ginny's brrom by the stairase as she ran up the stairs. She grabbed the red backless dress and matching heels out of her closet. She went into the bathroom and startd the shower so she could relax her muscles. As she stepped out she dried off and straightened her hair with the wave of her wand. Five minuets later she was fully dressed and the doorbell rang.

Okay thats it for now.

Schools about to start back up so.. they'll start being delayed again.
