A seventeen year old Sirius got on his knee in the Great Hall on the eve of the last day of school. Dumbledore had been making his normal speech when he saw Sirius he fell silent watching the two. Allyson turned in her seat looking at Sirius confused when he took her hands she turned all the way around so she was facing him.

“Allyson, I love you more then the world. I had a big speech ready but I seem to have forgotten it.” Sirius smiled his lazy smile. Allyson looked around and saw everyone was looking at them. She looked back at Sirius as he put his hand on her cheek. “Will you marry me, Allyson Rose Parker?” He reached in his pocket and pulled out a diamond ring. Allyson was at a loss for words and all she could do was nod. Everyone but the Slytherins cheered as he put the ring on her finger.

A twenty-one year old Allyson sat in her home re-reading the news, she couldn’t believe it, the Potters, dead. And Sirius put in Azkaban? For thirteen deaths? Allyson needed to talk to someone, but who? She didn’t know where Remus was, her eyes sparked as she thought of someone. She stood up and put her traveling cloak on then getting her wand made her way to the woods.

A few moments later she stood in front of a dark house. Do I really want to talk to him? He is the only one I can think of and I made it this far, no turning back now. Allyson took a deep breath then knocked on the door. When the door opened a crack Allyson saw the one eye she could see narrow. “What do you want?”

“I need someone to talk to, you are the first I thought of, please.” Allyson pleaded. She held her breath as she waited, the night was very dark and the red head looked like she had blood red hair. She looked at the man pleadingly and the man couldn’t resist her looking so desperate. The man opened the door and moved to let her enter, he looked her over under her traveling cloak she had on a white blouse and blue jeans.

Might not be much but I will work on a long post for my next one.. if I get readers.

Oh.. right.. well if I told who two of the people were it might ruin the suspense -smirks- and I am working on the story now as yesterday I was sleeping all day. For some reason when I stay up for a long time I get creative. -goes back to writing-

Alright in this post there is character switching, if you are confused please tell me I will help you understand.

"I expect you are here because of what happened?" The man asked taking her traveling cloak from her and laying it on the back of a chair. Allyson looked at the floor and nodded, she wanted to feel comforting hands and arms around her. She knew she wouldn’t get that here though, but he was the only one she could think of that might listen to her. “Have a seat then and talk.” The man said shortly taking a seat on the couch, Allyson looked at him, his dark hair reminded her of Sirius.

“I want to stand.” Allyson said noting his tone. “I feel lost without Sirius, I know he wouldn’t have told You-Know-Who where Lily and James lived. I know he wouldn’t have killed all those people!” She had been pacing the room while she talked, the man never took his eyes off her. He didn’t understand why she had even thought about him, he who hated and despised the man she was upset over.

“I know you hated him, Severus, but you’re the best listener I know. You listed to all my problems in school, I mean you even helped me get back at those that irked me. You were kinda like a friend.” Allyson sighed as she stopped pacing. “I was just with him that very day, I know he wouldn’t have done what they say he did.” Her head hung as tears formed in her eyes. “I don’t know what to do.”

Severus sighed inwardly unsure of what to say, he pondered on it as she continued to stare at the floor. He stood and she looked at him as if she was expecting something from him. But what? Advice he knew but when he looked into her eyes he saw she was have expecting him hold her. A small part of him wanted to hold her but the most part wanted to push her out. Though, she was right, he had helped her in school, he even considered her a friend.

He walked past her to the kitchen and got some glasses and a bottle of Firewhiskey. As he stood in his dark kitchen he wondered how he could help her, what advice he could give. As Severus returned to the living quarters he saw Allyson on the couch where he had been sitting before. He walked over to her and sat beside her, but not too close, he placed the glasses and bottle on the table in front of them.

As he poured the liquid into each glass he spoke, “The only thing I know you can do is write to the Minister and tell your story, but I must say that the evidence against him is too great. There were a ton of Muggles that heard Pettigrew shout, ‘You killed Lily and James!’. Also,” He paused to take a sip of the burning liquid, “Dumbledore believes him to be guilty, he was, after all, the Potter’s Secret-Keeper.”

“But he wasn’t! He was going to but he changed his mind!” Allyson said as she stood back up. She had been there when he gave them the news that he couldn’t be Secret-Keeper. She had told him herself that he would be perfect to be it but he wouldn’t listen. “I don’t know who they made after that, it was either Peter and Remus.” When she felt his hand take hers and pull him down she looked at him, confused by his actions.

Is he hitting on me? Allyson wondered. She looked away from him pushing the thought away. Of course he isn’t! He is just being a friend. Yet she couldn’t help but wonder, as she continued to think over his words and action she hadn’t felt him remove his hand. She was brought out of her thoughts by the sound of his voice, “I don’t think you should be alone for the time being. You may stay here if you want, seeing as you are unsure as who else you can trust.”

Allyson thought on this and smiled slightly, though she felt that she would be a burden if she stayed. “Tell me, Severus,” she spoke quietly, “will I be a burden?” Severus seemed taken aback by her question. He stayed silent thinking on what to say to her, after a while he slowly shook his head. “No, Allyson, you will not be a burden.” The corner of his lip twitched as if he was going to smile.

Later that night Severus lead her to his room, he had told her that she would take his bed and he would take the couch. She had, of course, protested but he was firm on his decision. “I’ll see you tomorrow. Goodnight, Severus.” Allyson whispered before shutting the door to the bedroom. Severus sighed as he made his way to the couch, he knew he should tell Dumbledore of this news but he thought that when Black got out she would be back with him. Severus had accepted the fact that he had always loved her, and that night he fell asleep with a slight smile on his face.

It had been twelve years since Allyson went to Severus, she was allowed to stay at the school with Severus. In Harry’s first year she had buried her face in Severus’ chest as she cried when he was sorted. In Harry’s second year she had stayed in Severus’ sleeping quarters as Dumbledore was afraid she would shed tears again. Now it was young Harry’s third year and Severus had insisted that Allyson was able to sit with him at the table. She needed to be with Severus now more then ever.

Allyson watched Harry worriedly, what has he been told about Sirius? She glanced at the pale, sickly looking man beside her. I wonder… if I had knew where he was would I have still went to Sev? She looked at the Potions Master as she felt him take her hand. Yes. I know I would have. She smiled and even though she knew he didn’t like showing public affection she leaned over and kissed his cheek. She looked at Dumbledore as he stood to make his speech.

“Welcome to our new students, and to our old welcome back!” Dumbledore smiled and opened his arms as if to hug the whole school. “I would like you all to know, we have a new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor.” He waved an arm towards Remus. “Let’s all welcome Professor Remus Lupin.” The school clapped as did Allyson and most of the staff. “Also our old Care of Magical Creatures professor has resigned to keep his remaining limbs. Our Groundskeeper, Hagrid, will take over that post.” He paused as Hagrid got the loudest and longest applause.

“I would also like to add that Miss Allyson Parker will be assisting Professor Lupin. And as you all are aware Sirius Black has escaped Azkaban and Dementors will be patrolling the gates and the town…” Allyson tuned out everything he had said after those words. Why is he having me work with Remus when I have always worked with Severus? She glanced at Severus and saw he looked none too pleased. “I guess this means we should talk tonight about what the lessons will be tomorrow.” Remus said after Dumbledore’s speech and the feast had started.

“I suppose so.” Allyson said not really sounding pleased with the arrangement. “Allyson, what has happened to you? You and I use to dream of working together.” Remus asked quietly as he knew both Dumbledore and Severus was listening. “What I remember is you saying you would never get a job because of what you are.” Allyson said. “I normally work with Severus, but I suppose Albus thought it would be best if you and I got reacquainted.”

I had got an idea while writing this so I hope ya'll like it!

That night after the feast Allyson stood in Remus’ office with her arms crossed.

“Allyson, I know I said we should talk about lessons but I had heard you fought the Minister about Sirius’ arrest.” Remus said speaking slowly.

“Yeah and I heard you did nothing.” Allyson snapped glaring at Remus. How dare he bring Sirius up!

“But why did you do it? Nor-” Remus was cut off by Allyson. “I did it because I knew he innocent! Why would You-Know-Who listen to someone that doesn’t bare his mark? Why would Sirius, a man who would have died for his friends, betray James in the biggest way?” Allyson normally would have had tears in her eyes but it had been twelve years since she got upset over Sirius.

“He was their Secret-Keeper, Ally!” Remus said loudly. He walked to the office window as he continued, “I know they wouldn’t have had it any other way.. They trusted Sirius.” Allyson snorted but said nothing. “Allyson… do you still love him?”

Allyson looked at Remus in surprise, she didn’t know what to say. She stayed silent as she thought about it, did she still love Sirius? No, she couldn’t still love him but there was something in the back of her mind that was nagging her. “No, I don’t. I’m with Severus now.” Remus shook his head he couldn’t believe what she was saying. “Then tell me, why are you still wearing the ring he gave you in his last year? And the locket he gave you on your seventeenth birthday?”

Allyson looked at him then looked at the jewelry he had spoke of. “Fine. I do still love him but I love Severus more and he knows that. Besides remember what he said about this ring? It is stuck on me unless he takes it off.”

“Or if one is truly over them and really want to take it off.” Severus said from the door. Allyson turned around wondering how much he had heard. “I understand your love for him, Lyssie, but it has been twelve years, I had thought that you would have been over him by now.” He spoke very softly and his eyes never left Allyson. Allyson lowered her eyes feeling ashamed that he had to find out the way he did. “Sev…” She looked up into his eyes. “I do love you more then him, but you have to understand that one is never over their first love.”

“I do understand, Lyssie, trust me… I do.” Severus said looking back into her eyes. Remus cleared his throat so they wouldn’t forget that he was there. Severus looked at him then remembered why he was there. “I came to tell you not to speak about Black but I assume I am too late for that.” He walked over to Allyson and put an arm around her shoulders. “She has heard enough about him, she-”

“Daddy!” A little boy squealed as he ran in. The boy had dark red hair and black eyes. The boy put his arms around Severus’ legs, Severus removed his arm from Allyson’s shoulders and picked the boy up. “Now, Silvester, what have we told you about running away from the House-Elves?” Severus asked as a House-Elf came running in. “Twinkle is sorry, Master and Mistress!” Twinkle said breathless. “Little Master wanted to be with Master and Mistress!”

“It’s alright, Twinkle, do not worry about it.” Allyson said smiling as she looked at her five year old son. Remus had to once again clear his throat to remind them he was there. “Oh, Remus, this is our son, Silvester.” She said smiling, she kissed her son’s forehead. Remus looked from Allyson to Severus then rested on Silvester. “Are you and he married, Allyson?” Remus asked looking back at Allyson. “No, but we were planning on it.” She told him glancing at Severus.
