The village of Mould-On-The-Would had never seen such strange sights. Before the Potters moved into the house on the edge of the village, there were never strange bangs or wisps of coloured smoke wafting out of the chimney. Clouds of strange smells floated around the neighbourhood, and peculiar noises were a regular occurence. The young family consisted of a young man with glasses and untidy black hair, a woman in her twenties with long, swishy red hair and two young boys, who looked extraordinarily like their father. The kids were a year apart, two and three years old. They could be seen with their parents around town, and although the young family was nice and polite to everyone, they hardly ever socialized with the other villagers. The Potters mostly kept to themselves, and the people they did interact with were also quite odd. The Potters were visited several times a week by a young woman with wavy brown hair, and a freckled red-haired man with a long nose. More often than not, they, too were accompanied by a little girl. The villagers assumed that the two families were friends, but they could have been related on account of the mother of the boys and the visiting man sharing the same fire-engine red hair. The Potters never bothered anyone, and were generally thought to be quite boring. But if someone were to overhear the conversation taking place in the Potters' sitting room one late June, they would realise the Potters were anything but normal.

“Harry, dear, pass the Cauldron cakes” said Ginny Potter. The little family was sitting inside, drinking tea. The parents were playing Wizard Chess, while their boys were running around the living room, occasionally tripping and falling down onto the plush yellow carpet. As Harry passed the glass plate full of pastries to his wife, the eldest, James, fell with a resounding thump onto his brother. The youngest, Albus, started crying. Howling with pain, Albus crawled towards his mother, all the while pointing a small chubby finger at James. “He-he-he huuurt me! I get an ooow!” wailed Albus, while James sat on the carpet, his eyes wide at what he had just done.

Ginny picked up Albus, and kissed his forehead while Harry strolled over to James. Picking up his son, he walked over to the cot in the corner and placed him in it. As soon as harry let go, James started to howl and complain.
“ I'm sorry! Out, out! Let me out!” he shrieked. “NO!” yelled Harry, immediately quieting his son. “You shouldn't have hurt your brother like that! Go to sleep, James.” When James didn't comply, Harry walked over to Ginny. Kissing Albus's sweaty forehead, he picked up his wand and turned around, pointing it at James. “ I'm sorry, son. But you can't just fall on your brother when you feel like it.” Harry murmured a Sleeping Spell, and James immediately fell into a deep, dreamless sleep, hunched over the side of the crib. Walking over to his son, Harry gently put him down and covered him with a blanket, kissing his soft, red hair before turning around to talk to Ginny.

“How's Al?” he asked, walking over to his wife. Ginny was still holding Albus, though he was no longer crying, but his face was still wet with tears. Harry raised his hand, and gently wiped his youngest son's face until it was dry. After kissing Albus's forehead, Harry sat down in the plushy armchair, staring at the fire. 'He'll live. He just has a small cut on his arm. I fixed it with a Injury-Healing Charm. All the while, I think he should still go to bed. They'll be here soon, and you know how Rosie winds him up.” “Yeah, you're right, Gin. Go upstairs and put him to bed, will you? I'll clear up here.”

Ginny stood up, picking up her youngest baby. “ Do you want to say good night, dear?” she asked Harry. Harry stood up, and looked into his son's green eyes. “Good night, Al. Sleep tight.” harry said, before tickling his son's little feet. Albus squirmed and started laughing. “See you in a few, Gin” Harry said, looking at his wife as she walked upstairs, to put Albus to sleep.

Harry dropped down on the couch, exhausted after these disciplinary procedures. Pointing his wand at the large wireless in the corner, which immediately started playing soft classical music, Harry helped himself to some tea. Ginny came down and sat down beside him." He's already out. That boy sleeps like a rock." Harry poked her ribs at this point. Laughing, she elaborated. "I mean, a whole marching band won't be able to wake him up." "I've never seen a sleeping rock, but you're the boss." Checking his gold watch, which had been a present from Mrs. Weasley, Harry saw that it was a quarter past nine. "They're late" he said, frowning. "They'll be here. Hermione's probably in a tiff, trying to get Ron to wear matching socks." Harry laughed. "Who do you think is more trouble, Rose or Ron?" "Ron, no question about it. Rosie's like her mum. I saw her trying to make Ron peel an apple before eating it." With this, the two Potters rolled around on the couch in fits of giggles at their little niece. "Well, at least James is not as uptight as you" said Ginny, wiping away a tear. Harry sat on her. "Or as hot-tempered as you." Ginny snorted. "Don't count on it.Can you get off me now, please?"

"Yeah, mate. Get off my sister." Ron's voice rang out of the fireplace, and a second later, he stepped out into the living room, with Hermione close behind him. She was holding a sleeping Rose. "It's none of your business what Harry and I do in the privacy of our own home." Ron snorted. "Clearly," he said, pointing at James' crib. "Where's the other one?" "If by the other one you mean my youngest son, then he's upstairs, sleeping" said Ginny, firing up at once. "And if you insult my kids one more time, I'll hex you into oblivion." "Whoa, calm down Gin. Time of the month?" Hermione giggled, until ginny shot her a look. "I don't even know why we bother inviting you lot over anymore, it's not like we're lonely, with two kids." Hermione's face fell. "OI! Gin! What're you playing at, insulting my family? Come here, 'Mione." "I'm fine. Fine" said Hermione. "I know Ginny doesn't mean it. She says the same thing evey time we come, and at the end of the evening, she keeps telling us to not be strangers. Sorry, Gin, d'you mind if I put Rose down somewhere? She fell asleep in the fireplace."
"Sure. Come upstairs."

As the girls went up the winding staircase, the men went forward, and hugged. "How've you been, Harry? How's married life?" "Not bad. You?" "Oh, mate y'know that Hermione and I aren't married...yet." "Yet?" asked Harry, his attention suddenly turned to Ron.
"I decided I'm gonna ask her to marry me."
"Oh, Ron! That's great! Hermione'll finally be part of the family!"
"Yeah...yeah! You're right! So..d'you think she'll say yes?"
"Um...let me think for a moment. She's loved you since first year, she lives with you, she's given birth to your child. I'm pretty sure she's gonna say yes."
Harry walked forwards once more, and hugged Ron, clapping him on the back in the process. "How long've you been planning this?" " 'Bout a month." "A MONTH? Well, what's stopping you?!" "Nerves." said Ron, scratching his nose. "I don't know if she's gonna say yes."

"If who's gonna say yes to what?" Hermione's voice rang from the staircase. She came downstairs, looking suspiciously at Ron, who was suddenly looking very uncomfortable.

Love it! Its really funny! All I suggest doing is spacing out the quotes. Its kinda hard to read the quotes. But it still is a really good story!

"Oh! I was...just telling Harry...how I-"
"-How he was gonna ask Ginny to babysit tomorrow for him." said Harry, sensing that Ron needed his help. Ron looked immensely relieved, Ginny surprised.
"Oh! Well, I suppose I could...I mean, Harry's on duty tomorrow and I have the day off.. but I was going to go to Diagon Alley, we're low on Floo Powder...and we need some new baby robes for James!"
"Rosie can come with you, she doesn't mind a bit of shopping," Ron said, hurriedly.

"But sweetheart..why do you want Ginny to babysit Rosie?" asked Hermione skeptically.
"Um, well...'cause we need a bit of privacy, I reckon. Rosie's old enough not to be with us 24/7 now. I mean, we're both off work tomorrow..we can go out to dinner somewhere, and Rosie can play with Al and James for the whole evening."
"As long as she doesn't mind getting squashed," muttered Ginny under her breath.

"But...I don't understand. Is there an anniversary that I've forgotten? Or did you do something?" asked Hermione, her eyes narrowing. "Ronald Weasley, have you been caught stealing quills from the office again?"
"What? No! Of course not! And I would appreciate it if you didn't bring that up in every single bloody conversation! That did happen only the ONE time! And it was a misunderstanding is all!" Ron rolled his eyes at Harry.
"Where'd you reckon we should go for dinner? Know any place?"
"Yeah, there's a new place on Diagon, called Colgin and Wrights? They've got good food, right, Gin?"
"Yeah," said Ginny in an oddly high pitched voice. "Yeah, they're decent. Harry could you help me in the kitchen, with the tea? It's just coming to a boil."
"Oh, sure. One sec, guys. We'll be right back."
"Don't do anything I wouldn't do!" Ron called to Ginny. She rolled her eyes in a very Hermione-like fashion.
"We already have two kids, what more could we do? Speaking of which..." Ginny twirled around to look at Harry. "What's up with Ron?" she whispered quietly, so her voice wouldn't carry into the living room.

"Oh! Um...what do you mean?"
"Don't pretend, I'm not an idiot. What's he up to? Is Hermione pregnant again? Is that what he was telling you?"
"No, no. Gin, it's his business, ok? I'm sorry. If he wanted, he would have told you."
"I knew it! I KNEW it! Is he proposing to her?! Oh, he really is an idiot! He's so stupid!" whispered Ginny gleefully, tears rolling down her cheeks.
"Erm...why are you crying, dear? And care to tell me why Ron's an idiot this time around?"
"I'm crying, 'cause I'm so HAPPY for them! And Ron could propose to Hermione while she's in the loo, and she would still say yes!"
"Well, he wants to make it special. Like I did, remember?"
"Yes, Harry. Putting the ring into a Snitch was very original. Came up with that all by yourself, did you?" Ginny gave a false cough that sounded oddly like "Dumbledore".

Haha! That was hilarious! I was laughing so much! Dumbledore coming up with Harry's way of proposing! Ha! I like the way he proposed, though. Very original! Ooh! Ron is really lucky Harry was there to save him! Hope he proposes when they go to dinner! *crosses fingers* Hope Hermione says yes! Haha! Babysitting. I love what Ginny said about Rose and getting squashed! I was laughing at that as well. Great post! Loved it! Can't wait for more!

"Oi! What's taking you so long? Biting teapot?" Ron came in through the kitchen door looking curiously at Ginny and Harry. Ginny ran forwards, and hugged him.

"Oh! What-why-are you alright?"
"Congrats, Ron! Harry's just told me!" Ginny whispered in her brother's ear. Ron's ears turned tomato red.
"Ginny! Get a grip! Geroff! Hermione's gonna be suspicious!"
"Where is she? Living room?"
"Nah, she went to check on Rosie. She reckons she might have heard her cry."
Ginny snorted.

"Rosie's perfectly alright. I can't believe it! My brother! Married!"
"Shh! Keep your voice down! She'll hear you! And stop wetting yourself, it's not like you've never been to a brother's wedding before! Hermione's already my...girlfriend, I guess. She'll just wear a ring on her finger now. Hopefully. If she says yes."
Ron seemed to have deflated a bit after his monologue. He looked up when he heard Harry and Ginny laughing.

"What're you two taking? What's so funny?"
"I just realised something!" breathed Ginny in between snorts of laughter. "Hermione Granger is gonna be your wife! Hermione! Who you thought liked Draco Malfoy! Who always let you copy her homework!"

Ron's face turned red. He could have been a sunburned tomato. "Well..it's not unexpected, is it? I mean, we have Rosie already..."
"No, Ron. Don't worry. You're a great dad, and you'll be a great husband."
"As long as you don't play with the Deluminator at night." said Harry, remembering a snowy camp-site many years ago, where Ron and Hermione had had one of their usual squabbles.
"Oh, Harry! Didn't I tell you? Hermione got so annoyed with it, she took it and made it invisible! I can't find it anywhere!"
The three of them laughed. Ginny came forward, and hugged her brother again. Ron returned the gesture.
"You're a great dad. Rosie's very lucky."

"Speaking of Rosie..." Hermione had come into the kitchen. She was beaming, and her face was sweaty.
"Can I talk to you guys for a minute in the sitting room? I have to tell you something important."
