Wampus Common Room - Second Floor
Located on the east side of the school, where it’s likely the light streaming into the windows at sunrise will wake the Wampus students early, the Wampus common room appears much like a comfy hunting lodge. All wood, leather and plaids in darker versions of the traditional blue and cranberry of Ilvermorny, oversized chairs and couches lie scattered around the room, most somewhere near the crowning feature of the room: a large fireplace that commonly has a roaring fire going inside. A room to the left holds all manner of exercise equipment for those Wampus students who prefer a private training area, and to the right is a cozy room filled with all manner of study materials. Up a short flight of stairs is the dorms, boys to the right and girls to the left. | |

As she spoke, Veronica moved a bit closer to the fire, already feeling it start to warm her up a little. It really had been a good idea to venture over here as opposed to the kitchens. Laziness and seeing a dog were good reasons to stay in the common room. "I'm Veronica by the way," she added upon realising that she had failed to give an introduction. |

"My parents met on the first of november." when she was a toddler she used to think the month was named after her, she smiled faintly at how silly children often were before coming back into the conversation. "My grandmother's name was April, so I think its also a nod towards her." She had never known her grandmother, she had died six months before November was born, although from what she knew she was who she had inherited her personality from.

she nodded as Ver talked, not really thinking much of it.
She was a bit surprised about the remark about her grandmother, its not like it didn't make logical sence to ask such a question, she just somehow didn't see it coming. "Actually I never met my Grandmother. She died before I was born." as always, she didn't really think about what she was saying. She just sort of let the words out.

It was always a bit awkward when something like that came up, because really Veronica was not the best when it came to things like death. Though of course it wasn't as hard when it was someone who said person hadn't met before. Still didn't make things any less awkward for someone who wasn't always the best when it came to socializing even if she DID like talking to people. "Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. I am sure she was a lovely lady." Because really... who wanted to think of a horrible grandparent? | |

She noticed that Ver was feeling uncomfortable. She smirked a bit, but not in a mean way. Over the years she had learned that people who were awkward tended to be decent humans beings. Not everyone who never really felt awkward was a bad person, and not every awkward person was a good one.
awkwardness was just a sign that she wasn't talking to someone who was too big headed.
"From my understanding my grandmother was a good person. she died in her late 90s so she lived a long life." She thought now would be a good time to change the subject from death, although in a way that wouldn't seem forced."How about your grandmother, how is she?"

HOWLERS??? Ronnie couldn't help but laugh. Hopefully she wasn't being rude - that was NOT her intention - but the thought of it was just plain funny. Maybe it was just her... "So you have a bit of a bad streak in you I see. Nothing wrong with that." Well, rules were important and there for a reason, but sometimes they were ridiculous; plus there was that side of her that liked to rebel, especially when it came to her mother. If she was at Hogwarts instead of Ilvermorny, she'd be breaking rules all the time just to get under the Headmistress' skin. Would her own mother expel her? That was an interesting thought...
