Yeah it's really weird looking back on this movie and seeing how young the characters looked compared to now. Crazy. I liked this movie although it was a little choppy and kind of cut from one scene to another really fast. 8.5/10

ok im gonna write a full review... here we go... im not gonna compare it to the others because supposedly i havent seen them yet
7/10 : a good start to the series i dont like how the beginning seems to be rushed however the snake sequence is very well done. Daniel Radcliffe is absolutley perfect for the part tho his acting can be improved he does portray the character very well. I somehow thought that the Dursleys would be meaner but their acting is satisfactory. Hagrid seems so dull in the movies i somehow pictured him defirentely. The wand scene is superb the light on mr ollivander seems very spielbergest... good job. Rupert Grint is fantastastic as Ronald Weasley you can feel the best friend vibe from him its almost like the loyal brother.
Richard Harris as Dumbledore: Intresting but disapointing no doubt that he is a fantastic actor but Dumbledore is described as "someone who doesnt act his age full of energy often bouncing on the balls of his feet" he gives the impression of power more than enery in the movies .. eh idk weird mix..
Alan Rickman: hands down my favorite proffesor, no doubt he really makes you love to hate him amazing! When he walks in to class with his powerful "there will be no foolish wandwaving" i was hooked great actor *im not worthy* lol
Emma Watson: to pretty!!! but a good job i was scared they would make her all sweet im happy they kept her "show-off, snobbyness"
Draco Malfoy? were is he ? and y isnt he mean? directors mistake not enough slytherin meaness...
Sorting Hat: y is ron sorted before harry? weasley, potter? HULLO!
CGI EFFECTS: eh nothing spectacular voldemort looks really fake same with the troll Fluffy however convinced me..
THANK GOD! Quidditch NICE! its great yet i can still tell its cgi im expecting to be blown out of my seat
the music is beautiful goes well with the movie , if any nominations are going out for potter its best score.
Voldy: no not good enough
Quirrell: eh
Trio: good
The movie is a good start but it can improve. when if first heard they were making the harry potter films i nearly cried i was so mad i thought "NO THEY ARE GONNA RUIN THE BOOKS!" but they didnt . looking forward the COS

I was worried thinking that the movie might be a completely different from the book. But i was really happy to see the movie is 100% faithful to the books.I loved everything in the movie.Quidditch was superb. The actors did a wonderful job.
I was really shocked to see the trio which were exactly like how JKR described them.Especially Rupert, who was very much like Ron.Even Hermione's looks were exactly as JKR wrote.I like this movie for my life.

5/10

I think that it's off the book a little bit too much. Some of the points that are in book is quite important but they didn't mention in the movie. they could do better then that.

6/10
having read the books hundreds of times, i felt like this didnt live up to my expectations. it was a perfectly ok movie, and i think anyone that hasnt read the books will enjoy it...but die-hard fans like me would have probably found this a little disappointing, but still enjoyable.

I give the movie an 8/10 because I pictured the movie in a whole different way. Plus they shifted some things and left other things out.

I give this movie an 9/10 because it was very well put together (probably because it is the shortest book of the HP series). And I imagined everything just the wat it is except the Fluffy scene. Overall this movie is one of the best movies I have ever seen, and I still have it on my movie rack an I am about to go and watch it again for the 664th time. *Hint**Hint* 664th birthday. Can anyone tell me who this is. I'll give them a kiss lol.

well it srayed to far from the book and they let/cut out some of the best parts from the book. but it was OK i guess so ill give it a 9.5 out of 10
plus it had Alan Rickman in it!
and Maggie Smith she's a great actriss!
and Richard Haris he was a perfect Dumbledore.

I liked it a lot, but I want Peeves! He is so funny and such an annoying ghost that it would add comedy to the movie when there is such a serious plot line.

I like this movie because it sort of follows the book. I also like who they chose to play the parts. They could not have chosen a better group of kids. I especially like Dan he is just so adorable in this film.

I kind of agree. It seems way to short without the parts you mentioned. I don't think that they made it long enough to show how close anyone was. I don't agree on the Emma Watson thing though. I think that out of all the movies so far that this movie did the best on her. At least, if nothing else, they got her hair done as it should be...
