It was a great movie! I loved how they changed it to more darkness and all! I didn't like how they changed to plot so much though!!!

But, since I love HP and would never give a bad rating!

8/10

8/10

it was much better than the first 2 movies and plus the prisoner of Azkaban was also my favorite movie so far. but it was way off because some of the important points in the books they didn't mention, like the final match. it was Oliver wood's last year at Hogwarts shouldn't they at least put that part in. and move the part where harry got the Firebolt to the middle. that way it would be more accurate. but i still give it a 8 out of 10 because it's my favorite so far.

On a scale of 1 to 10, I'd give it a three. This movie made me so mad, I almost got kicked out of the theater the first of three times I went and saw it the day it came out. As a movie, it was entertaining, but comparing it to the book, I was beyond mad. The writer/director of the picture totally discluded one of the main story lines in the book, along with the entire Harry Potter saga; The Marauders. This, although not directly contributing to the main plot, is essential to Harry's relationship with both Sirius and Lupin, as well as the way he looks at his father. They cut parts that shouldn't be cut, arranged things in a chaotic, ridiculous fashion, and added things that were totally un-necissary. For example, the Firebolt. Everyone saw how misplaced this was. Why at the end? It would have been just as easy in the middle. Now Ron's not going to have Pigwidgeon. Again, not necissary, but it'd be nice. The part where Lupin in werewolf form chased Harry and Hermione was totally un-necissary, as was the part where it shows Harry and his friends eating candy. Yeah, it's nice to see how Harry and his relationships with his peers grow, but worry about that when you have all the things in the movie that were in the book. The movie, in all, was entirely too short. It was actually (it's one or the other) shorter by ten minutes, or only ten minutes longer. The same thing's going on with GoF. It's only going to be 2 hours and 30 minutes when it should be at least 3 hours 15. An extra 45 minutes does wonders, and that's what should have been done with PoA. Oh, and the scenes with the Whomping Willow. One would think that they ran out of ideas and came up short. I've had people come up to me and ask what this and that was or meant because it wasn't explained clearly or at all. And the CGI sucked!!! The Dementors were okay except for the fact that they flew. They dont fly, they glide! And the sucking of the faces..... Oh the sucking of the faces!!! That was soooo stupid-looking! The Grim was aweful too. If I'm correct in my quoting, it was "...a bear-like black dog...", meaning it was a big, broad-shouldered dog. Not some back-alley mutt that had been kicked one too many times. And Lupin as a werewolf wasn't too special either. He looked like an emaciated mutant!!!! They could have really improved on this movie. I'm scared for the fourth film.

I absolutely love this movie. I have read all of the books that are out and am awaiting the next one. I really want to see how they produce Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. I have a feeling the movies will just keep getting better and better. I give this movie a 10/10

I give the movie a 1 anna half. It was horrible. Did Ron look at all really upset the Scabbers had be "eaten"?? He appears to have gotten over it in about 2 mins. Did you know anybody was mad with Hermoine? This was the book where they showed anger toward one another and he was showed in a very horrible way. And that little crying scene Dan had in Hogsmede shoulda been cut. He wouldn't even get a Nickeloden award with that faker than fake cry. The emotions were horrible. Was anybody scared of Sirius Black? I mean in the book I was a little scared, but in the movie..nothing. This book had way too much emotion in it and the movie in my opinion displayed none. And they should have REALLY for ONCE showed them going home FROM HOGWARTS...with Harry reading that letter, and not him flying off on the Firebolt.

And tha Dumbledore choice does not have that warm sense to me that Richard Harris had. I dunno I watch it, but i skip through my dvd..i never watch the movie the whole way through. Best thing about the movie (besides Snape scenes) was the choir in the beginning.

The special effect were greatly improved in this film, The acting by the trio was better than before, I loved the Werewolf and time turner scenes. Scary and Horroring feel about this. Definatley dark and dingy with just the right amount of humour and closeness to the book

Dislikes:
The fact that the maruaders was missed out disappointed me greatly. The bird flying around the whomping willow got a bit dedious after the first time. I thnk that the dog of siruiss could have been better, looked like they picked up a mangy mutt from the pound.

Overall: The best of the movies so far, more grown up and thought about. I feel that some scenes could have been better and that they could of cut out non important scenes and replace them with the marauders.

1.harry with his aunt and telling her he gets beaten
2.harry telling his uncle to try him
3.harry telling ron to "tell those spiders" i love that part
4.hermoine was great and so was ron everything advanced

Default just okay

The movie was okay.
At first when i watched it i thought it was the best thing every put in a movie. However, after i watched it a second time i figured out that it wasn't that great. i don't understand why they screwed up the movie so much. THe best parts of the book, were the parts including the mauraders map, the winning of the quiddich cup, and the conflict of the broomstick. i hated how alfonzo just added the firebolt part at the end, to make the movie longer. It was horrible and didn't do the book justice. During the movie i cringed so many times at the corny script. I especially cringed at the whomping willow part where hermione grabbed harry's shirt and it took a couple seconds for harry to be pulled with the tree. I can't watch the part, i have to fast foward. And the freeze screen at the end, is the stupidest thing i have ever seen in any movie. Didn't the directors notice that it looked completely gay? On the other hand the special effects were amazing. You could hardly tell that buckbeak was computertized. I was truly amazed. And i loved the way Alfonzo changed the position of Hagrid's Hut. It truly went along with the story, and matched exactly what i had thought of when i read the book. All in all i would give the movie a 7/10. The best thing about the movie was that dan was looking extra tasty!!!! Anyway i hope the 4th movie lives up the book, a little more that poa. Can't wait till' december!!!!!!!

I thought the movie was poorly made because they left out most of the important parts therefore most people I know say they misunderstood it. Overall it wasn't very good. But hey its a Harry Potter movie so I guess it was ok. The book was tons better though. I give this movie an 4/10

I love the movie. it could be better but its fine the way it is. I would give it a 8/10. I was a bit mad that they didnt tell us about the marauders or much about map for that matter. but i love the humour and the way the scenes were shot. so i like this movie better than the others.

I definetly give the movie a 10/10. It was awsome and I can't wait till the GoF comes out. I also can't wait till HBP comes out either.

Oh won't they hurry up already on putting them out. They always take so long.

I found it quite interesting. The opinions of those here and my other friends vary. The movie was good in some parts, I thought the filming was great, as were the angles, effects, etc. The acting was good, and I think that since the beginning of the series, everyone has greatly improved. It's great to see the actors grow with the movies. On the other hand, ha, you knew that was coming, I thought the director left a lot to be desired, especially at the end, I though that was a horrid way to end the movie, it left me hanging. I suppose I like the "darkness" of this movie and it begins to show Harry's mood swings, there seemed to be no transition though. It was very happy-we're-wizards during the first and second, then, whoa, the-wizarding-world-lays-in-our-hands the next. Maybe it's just me.

There were also some minor details that hardcore fans, like myself, are going to nit pick about, so I won't get into that, you all probably understand. But having said all that, I was pleasently surprised and dissappointed at the same time.

I give it a 6 out of 10. And if you're going to get all, fraction-ish on me, a 3 out of 5.

I have to give it a 5/10,
because well...

-the dementor thing really bugged me. They don't fly. They are supposed to stay right above the ground the glide/hover .

-They say nothing about Padfoot, Prongs, Moony, or Wormtail .

-And the patronus form, from what I gathered, is supposed to charge threw the dementors. Not send out some super charge wave of magik .

But it did have very good graphics, and was well writen... so yeah 5/10.

I would say: 9/10
This film is undoubtly the best of the three. It has stunning visuals, improved acting and overall just a better look. The dementors were okay...I sort of forgot they glide and didn't fly. The scene where Harry was riding Buckbeak over the school was one of the best scenes...I will have to admit it is quite different from the book, but I think it's best to not think about the book while you're watching this movie.

Okay well...the firebolt thing really bugged me, it was kind of a really dumb ending but oh well. The whole dementor flying thing was a little weird but I could get over that. The fact that they never explained the Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot and Prongs thing reeeallly bugged me, if someone never read the books I don't think they'd ever understand the whole map thing.

I loved the music, as I always do with the series so far, I love orchestra music, it's awesome to do homework and stuff to. The actors did well, It took me awhile to really get into the Sirius and Lupin characters...they weren't exactly what I was expecting really but they worked just fine when I got used to them. The whole Werewolf transformation thing was kind of dumb, it didn't look at ALL what I thought it would.

But I'd have to say, out of the three...even though a lot was left out and changed un neccasarily, I really do love it most out of the three...I'd have to give it eight outta ten....

Alfonso Cuaron directed an intense, emotional and action filled film. The wide angle shots and dimmed light added to the sinsiter script. The young actors really came into their own in this film. The new actors added to an already fab set of films. The effects such as the Dementors and Buckbeak were much more advanced than what was seen in the previous two HP films.

It was a shame that storylines such as the story about the Mauraders were omitted from the film. That would be one of very few downsides.

I rate this film 9/10

Talking 9 out of 10

i liked the movie...it was good...and even thought they left out a lot of things...i think that if JKR had to cut something out that she would've mad the same chainges...i think that they got the main idea...and it still leaves a few unanswered questions...that can be answered by reading the book!...so it still leaves an open space for new HP lovers!
but i still loved the movie!
9 out of 10

9/10 because of a couple of things:

The firebolt was at the end, which was a bit weird.
They never explained the significance of Harry's patronum shape
The Mauraders?!
Not enough Snape in my opinion
The mistakes!! lol I love when Hermione is mouthing other people's lines. . . cracks me up!

I love.. L-O-V-E.. the movie! I'd give it 9 out of 10 because even though I'm obsessed.. I think the book was better and they left a lot out but if you haven't read it.. it's awesome.
