I don't want to be picky or anything but this used to be my favorite book. Kloves and Newell completely ripped it apart, tore it into tiny pieces and spat on the remains. Okay, maybe I'm exaggerating a bit too much. There were parts I did like and thought they did good on: Rita Skeeter, the Yule Ball, the dragons, etc. But eyecandy, annoying humor, and CG does not make up for a rushed, confusing plot. I didn't HATE it per se, but so much could've been improved on. I might be the only one, but I think it was and still is EXTREMELY overrated.

Thumbs up

I will give a rating of 8,5 out of 10

I watched the movie for the 8th time yesterday, and it really has to be the best film yet, i just canīt get enough of it. Mike Newell did a brilliant job as the director. It must have been hard to adapt a book that size into a movie of 2 hours and a half.
And i really loved the music too. The Weird Sisters were fantastic.

The acting greatly improved compared to the other movies.
Daniel surprised me a bit at the end of the movie when he was crying over Cedric, I start to cry every time i see that scene.
Rupert as always made me laugh and want to cry at the same time. Itīs great that he had more important lines in this one.
Emma was brilliant in the scene after the Yull Ball when she was yelling at Harry and epecially Ron. Although she did overact a bit for most of the movie.
Overal i think they did a great job playing the trio.
We didnīt see much of Tom, but i loved the ferred scene.

Micheal Gambon was brilliant as Dumbledore.
Alen Rickman is such a good actor, he does such a fantastic job of playing the Potions Master that i like every scene with Snape in it even though he is a very mean person.
Brendan Gleeson is an excellent Professor Moody i just didnīt like his eye it was not the way i had pictured it, but that has nothing to do with his performance wich was great.
Stanislav Ianeveski, Robert Pattinson and Clemence Poesy were all perfectly chosen to play the Champions. Those parts couldnīt have been played any better.
Oliver and James Phelps made me laugh true the whole movie, they are brilliant as the twins.
Voldemort seemed really cruel and evil a job well done by Ralph Fiennes.

The special effects are fantastic, i loved the flying scenes at the Quidditch World Cup, the dragons, the creatures of the deep and the graveyard scene, AWESOME.
But if you are true fan of the books you canīt help but be disappointed.
The movie was rushed, the Yule Ball and the Quidditch World Cup scenes are to short. What happened to SPEW. The Dursleys, Mrs. Weasley, Dobby and Winky arenīt even in the movie. And there are a lot of things that are left onexplaind, If you have never read the book you will have a hard time trying to understand some scenes of the movie.

All in All the movie turned out to be great and i loved it.

9.5/10. This movie was sooooooo wonderful. It was very well made. I wanted to see more World Cup action though. That was the only down side of the movie for me.

It was really good. Ralph Fiennes was amazing as Voldemort. I give it a 9.

As a movie itself, the movie was probably the best so far. But as for them leaving things out and adding things that werent need in it was completely dismal, nothing like the book, only the main idea. There were a couple of scenes that were spot on and close to the book. that would be the second task and The graveyard scene. I really didnt like how the young crouch was, in the book, you're kind of on his side and think he's a good guy in the wrong place at the wrong time, but in the movie not only did they show him with voldemort at the start, they also showed who it was when the dark mark was set off. and they hinted wayyyy too much that it was moody. also the short quidditch world cup scene and drawn out dragon scene got to me. too many things were cut out though. most people would probably rather a slightly longer movie, like they dont need everything, but now they cant explain some things in the fifth and sixth movies. grr. well anywho i'm off.

5/10 i'd say

I would have to agree. I found it utter Rubish. The whole atmosphere was off. I don't care if they have to leave parts out, or even change a thing or two, but he changed the characters completely! The Snape I know from the books, would never act the way he did in the movie.

Gotta give it a 10. Mike did such a good job. Its one of my favorites and i love it. He made it go to the book but he changed it a little bit but not where you see it as such a huge diffrence and don't know where parts are.
